Pros: Battery life, build quality, grip and file quality

Cons: Well, speaking of an APS-C reflex from 15 years ago, it makes me laugh to say that the autofocus is not responsive and precise and that the grip already above ISO 1600 is poor... But it's fair to say in 2023

Opinion: The first camera that helped me to grow, to photograph only in manual with the complete management of white balance, iso, shutter speed and aperture closure. A relfex APS-C that struggles to age both for its excellent build quality, and because until today I have used it for landscaping, portraiture and indoor sports where with the right lens it can still excite you, after 15 years of history. You will struggle with the unresponsive and precise autofocus where, in sports photography, despite the single central point, you find yourself many shots (even in bursts) with the background in focus and not the pointed subject. You'll struggle with low light where already at ISO 1,600 you'll see background noise. In short, you have to struggle with this camera especially if you are at the end of the year 2023 but you know that it is that camera that you get attached to, where you know perfectly its limits but you know, that it will never disappoint you and for you, it will always be there. Thank you Nikon, thank you D90 it's time to turn the page and leave you there, in plain sight, on the shelf of memories.

Pros: Sturdy and easily griptable machine; excellent performance at low ISO sensitivities despite age; Long battery life.

Cons: As far as I'm concerned no one in particular.

Opinion: I own it 14 years and I still use it today, with 16-85, with satisfaction despite also having the D5200. Its 12Mp are more than enough, unless you have to make heavy cutouts. In addition, raw files are not heavy and are therefore easy to manage even with a slightly dated PC. It is a machine that I would recommend to those who want to approach the world of photography, being-at the time- a semi-professional has all the controls available without having to go through the menus. Combining it with a good optics does not disappoint.

Pros: good construction; for his age excellent camera; top display; good rear display; battery life

Cons: then no one, now feels the evolution of technology; iso starting from 200

Opinion: It was my first DSLR for a long time. Bought used and with a few shots from a retailer with unn 24-14 3.5 - 5.6 FF & with dedicated grip. Having bought it in 2010 it was still very current and I must say that I have always been satisfied, and still am, with the results I get. Of course it has 12Mp, and now maybe they are few, but then they were the norm and I must say that even now they can have their say. Of course the D90 cannot be compared to a current machine, technology has made great strides and ours is and is dated, but the feeling of solidity, safety and the impression of semi-professional was and remains intact. Now the noise is heard, the fact that the sensitivity starts from 200 iso and ends at 3200.... All things that do not matter if you are looking for a good camera to start with or if you do not give too much weight to technology. If you are looking for high technology, many Mp, latest generation gadgets do not take it. but if you are looking for a robust, reliable body (never cleaned the sensor, just to say ...), a gem that still desso is able in good hands to give excellent results do not let it escape.

Pros: A tank of reliability, semi-pro body of excellent workmanship, performance for the time, large viewfinder, display on the back large and with a lot of info, battery life.

Cons: The tires are deformed and detach easily, no fine AF calibration.

Opinion: It was by far the best SLR in the segment of the time, it was adored by all its owners because of the great usability given by its body, reliability and the total absence of bugs (it was never necessary for nikon to make a firmware update). The battery lasted a lifetime. A big leap forward in the segment thanks to the high-resolution display and the high-performance sensor. A real training ship for those who wanted to look at the serious photography, when I switched to the D750 I immediately felt at ease, I even regret the display on the back that was larger and contained more information, in addition to the battery life about double. The only thing I really missed was the fine adjustment of the AF that penalized a bit the use with superluminous. I have used it for many years, I have traveled there for a total of over 1 year throughout Asia where it has accompanied me in extreme conditions for temperature, humidity, sun, sand, and more without making a fold and it still works in every little part. Only the tires (including the doors) tend to expand and consequently to detach almost immediately, so you have to trim and glue them. Even the battery (never replaced) still works like the first day. I did not believe tanks could be made of plastic. Compared to modern sensors it pays above all the colors lacking in shades in the midtones, so if it is not exposed to perfection or the conditions are not optimal they appear off or shot (especially red, which easily goes into saturation), and a poor cleaning of the files even at medium-low iso, which was fine on fullhd monitors of 10 years ago but if you look at them today on a 4k monitor they show their limits. To learn how to photograph is still excellent and better than any d3x00 or d5x00, but only if given away otherwise it is better to go to d7000 or d7100 which still cost very little and are a big step forward.

Pros: Great performance , solid body, file quality

Cons: Af not suitable for all sports, suffers a lot in high Iso

Opinion: I worked with a D90 from a photo agency for 4 months in 2010, throughout the summer season I practically merged it, and when I came back I bought a new one. Reason a valid upgrade the transition from the d60 to the D90 allowed you to work more and much better. The D90 is the school ship camera to grow a lot, you can't switch to a Pro model without getting your bones done with the D90. It's a well-combined set of elements that make it a flagship camera, so I recommend it to those who don't want an entry level, but a mid-range REFLEX with good performance. It is a camera that once used the wallpaper because for handling it is convenient for almost everything, I used it for events until I realized that I was squeezing it too much. Excellent file quality, remarkable color depth better than the D300, white balance among the best had, good shooting times but precisely always if you do not have to take sports photos. The D90 is the camera that combines all the improvements from the previous models, not by chance you will find many used but with many shots. A camera made to be used, trips, events, street, I had to replace it with the D300 when it was literally falling apart and I noticed its limits with the Af, which did not hook the filmed subject well. But I still use it for my photography courses, a teacher always.
