Pros: Low price, fast and precise AF, sharp, non-CA, lightweight, construction

Cons: Nothing from lens itself, but tripod ring not included.

Opinion: This was my upgrade from the 70-300mm non-L. I don't know where to start: first I noticed that the construction is excellent, it deserves the "red-L-ring". The image quality is just fantastic, it can be used even at f/4 and the image isn't so soft like other lenses. The AF is very fast and very accurate. I can't complain about it's non-IS or just f/4 aperture, for this price it's just fantastic as it is. I wish that it would come with the tripod ring included. It can be used for portraits, wildlife and events.

Pros: less expensive (poor man pro tele lense); lightweight (perfect for travel); good sharpness; not-too-intimidating lens (good for candid)

Cons: slightly soft at 200mm (for the best result, take at 135mm f/4 or 200mm f/5.6); sometimes non IS affects shake-blur

Opinion: The lens is perfect for travel, & also perfect in term of price/quaility. The only thing you can't get is beautiful bokeh blur - it is not really necessary when we do landscape, reportage or even human interest portrait during travel (you could capture the environment background as a part of story, anyway). To me, combining with another lightweight 85mm f/1.8, or 135mm will be a wise choice. Just my 2 cents ;-). Www.budiharyantophoto.com

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, cost of used

Cons: Lack of tripod ring

Opinion: I had the IS version in the past, my best lens used on 30D and 5D. I sold it because I had stopped photographing for a few years. Since I resumed I have always had the idea of having it back in my head, but having already the 70-300 IS II seemed excessive to me. Now, with the purchase of the R7 with stabilized sensor, for 300 euros I could not resist having the non-IS version, according to someone even better than the IS version, but I have no elements to be able to say so. Well, what can I say... Absolute handling (it weighs less than 700 gr), only a bit long, but having the internal focus it does not unbalance the small R7 at all. The only doubt could be the compatibility between the two, given the different eras in which they were produced. None of this! Precise and lightning-fast focusing even with AI Servo focusing, and perfect image resolution despite the 32 mega pixels (on aps-c), which seriously worried me. I must say that in combination with the 200-800 I have a focal range such as to be able to face any photo hunting situation, without overshadowing the performance of this lens on 6D mkII, even if here obviously you miss the stabilizer (but maybe it's just a fixation, since until now I haven't had blurred photos to bite my nails for...).

Pros: Weight, sharpness, versatility, truly remarkable value for money

Cons: not having it

Opinion: I'm using it mostly with Sony (a7 III and a7 RV) so with adapter which increases the weight a bit but is still not excessive. I don't need the stabilizer having it in the car. Sometimes I see that it is not very ready in focusing, but I think it is precisely because of the transition from Canon to Sony because on the Canon 7D it has no problem. The sharpness is truly remarkable. I have never felt the need to have the extra stop or the stabilizer that on this lens increase weight and cost but I don't think they pay off with a big difference in image quality. Even if tomorrow I had to combine something similar, I think I would keep it anyway.

Pros: Very high quality/price ratio - Colors - Blurred - Immediacy of speed autofocus - Lightness

Cons: Absolutely none

Opinion: All the Pros listed, found on R6!! Lens that does not suffer in the least the machine of modern generation, indeed, it is exalted in all respects! Cost absolutely ridiculous and affordable for everyone It's really like having a cashier's check, definitely resalable at the same price if not something more! We are talking about a truly timeless L series!!
