Pros: Build quality, ergonomics, optical zoom, snowmobile viewfinder (not always present on the machines of this price range), versatility.
Cons: Fixed Display, slow focus and sometimes not always accurate, made at high ISO, but for what it costs you can not expect who knows what.
Opinion: I bought this camera in February from Amazon for the price of 229 euros and after 4 months of use and about 5000 shots made, I can feel satisfied with the purchase. The build quality is very good, Sony has a lot of care for details, many competition bridges even higher prices, they look like toys or made of Plasticaccia, this instead from a feeling of good materials and solidity. The ergonomics are very good, it holds well in hand. Even those who have big hands like mine are very comfortable in holding it. The optical zoom is exceptional! 63X equivalent of a 1600mm, allow to approach of several subjects far enough away. Good the fact that it has the viewfinder, that even if it is not a monster of definition, at least there is and is not so obvious on machines of this price range. Sure it has its defects, like the fixed display, which in some cases would serve adjustable. The focus, it is not a lightning war and in some cases, is not exactly precise. The photos remain good up to 400 ISO, in some cases maximum 800, but as I said, for what it costs are normal things. It is still a good machine, which can give beautiful satisfaction and that is excellent, for those who want to approach the photograph, with which you can learn to regulate ISO, opening times, Aperture, and with which you could do everything from macro to insects to the RIP Made to the moon, without having to spend swarms of euros for various types of goals. In fact its best value as all the bridge and its versatility. A machine with which you do everything and bring it everywhere, without the weight of having to bring different goals or the awkwardness of having to decide in starting what to photograph and what equipment to bring. You have everything in one from a wide angle to a super tele. Personally I would recommend it, Spece to those who want something more than the smartphone or simple compact, but does not want to go immediately on something very challenging like a reflex or a mirrorles. |
