Pros: Cost of used, bright, image quality more than discreet, bokeh.

Cons: Chromatic aberrations .

Opinion: Purchased for the precise need to photograph twilight fauna, possibly setting them so its brightness is fundamental. Having taken it a few days ago, I only tried it at zero km and the impressions are generally good. The only real flaw are the chromatic aberrations that are often and willingly present, which discourages not a little but when you manage to avoid them, you take home satisfying shots. I did several close ups with extension tubes, portraits, fauna and, for the negligible cost, I am satisfied. I wait to use it in a low light . I really like the bokeh. A TA is not a sample of sharpness but for the use that I will make of it (I repeat, animals set) I do not need the super detail or super sharpness precisely. For the cost it has, you can safely buy it without thinking too much. At worst, it is resold.

Pros: Tough, light and compact. Built-in lampshade.

Cons: Color aberrations evident in some conditions

Opinion: I took the MC version to fit it on 5D classic and I'm satisfied with it. If you get the MAF (I use a chip ring) the lens is sharp already at f.4 (good for portraits) while at f8/11 the yield is great.the 12mp of the old 5D do not put it too much to the whip and the images are enjoyable. Only in high contrast conditions do obvious chromatic aberrations emerge but easily limited in posts. It is not a lens for dynamic scenes or from which to expect a high yield in light conditions not good but that knows how to give satisfaction. Clearly it can't compete with today's cheap zoom lenses, but those who use MF lenses don't look for super sharpness.

Pros: sturdy, lightweight, the only 200 mm fixed for micro 4/3 not to faint

Cons: unsuitable for fast subjects, not being able to use it at F/4, discreet sharpness in good light

Opinion: since its best openings are F/8-11 (official Olympus https://cs.olympus-imaging.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/compati/di004042e_om.cfm data) it follows that by using suitable times for fast-moving animals, ISOs rise to levels that are difficult to manage for a micro 4/3; For laid subjects instead, such as a Gazza at about ten meters, you can get fairly sharp shots by exploiting the stabilizer and remaining low of ISO; some shots I have already posted in the special gallery and others will come (note that my test shots have no PP, so what you see is what comes out of that paired machine-OB); the zoom dial is very fluid and it is therefore easy to secher, even freehand, using focus peaking (less precise) or enlarging; it should also be noted that, according to Olympus data, when used on digital machines the Spot exposure measurement does not work well, and in A and M modes the display does not show the opening value; ultimately a valid 200 mm fixed if you don't have too many claims

Pros: Price, solidity

Cons: MAF, chromatic aberrations

Opinion: I bought it to take pictures of birds and animals and for this I use the bud clamorously. The MAF with fast subjects is impossible and if you put it against the light is an explosion of chromatic aberrations. Image quality and good definition with static subjects. Much better x stealing photos from the street to unwitting subjects or x portraits. If you do a safari or a bird watching better a 200/300mm digital zoom. If you want a lens from 30 Euro x paparazzi someone is what it does x you.
