Pros: Great lens, if you are looking for a large 135 with Z mount it is the only option

Cons: Modest accessories, high price

Opinion: The one I currently own is the second Plena I buy, the first I brought back to the store the next day because I didn't see huge improvements compared to my 135 Art. Then I definitely got tired of using the FTZ II adapter and I went back to buying the Plena. Let's say right away that (at least in my eyes) the differences with the corresponding Art are there but they cannot be defined as abysmal: the sharpness is almost identical and the infamous circular or cat-eye bokeh you really have to go looking for it. On the other hand, the "case" is laughable and the lens hood is built with the usual cheap plastic. That said, the lens is excellent and irreplaceable for portraits close to the face only. It's a real telephoto medium, so watch out for the compression effect. Superlative sharpness, and bokeh as expected from a lens with an 11-blade diaphragm. It holds up well against the light, probably thanks to the anti-reflective treatments that Nikon likes to resell with exotic names on its site. Finally, I have to admit that the lens is easy to wivel, with the Z9 it falls very well in the hand. Definitely less ergonomic with the other Nikon MLs. Summing up, this Plena is undoubtedly the best 135 on the market, if you try it then it is really difficult to do without it. If Nikon has intended to give it a name as well, there will be a reason... And to protect the large beautiful front lens I dispassionately recommend a nice 82mm Sigma Protector filter. I have tried several other filters from the most popular brands but none has satisfied me, none of them couples with the Plena in an absolutely imperceptible way. Maybe because the others are all UV (which with digital is really useless) while the Sigma is... only Protector!

Pros: Stunning sharpness and bokeh

Cons: Footprint perhaps..

Opinion: Plena = perfection, sharpness and an indescribable resolution., the bokeh effect allows you to create portraits and close-ups in "3d", not easy to use, at f1.8 (as it should be used in most cases) at 4/5 meters the PDC is 1.. 2 cm?? Still a great experience ...... Born and bought for the night (street) .. Ball Lights !..
