Pros: Impressive IQ for a 50 1.0m, very usable at f1.0, few acs, very solid construction

Cons: Exaggerated size for Fuji bodies, lack of stabilizer, too bulky lens hood, little sense compared to the 56

Opinion: Excellent lens but that in my opinion wants to launch into trying, badly, to ape a high-level portrait lens for FF, not succeeding. The dimensions are gargantuan, poorly manageable on bodies that are not of the XH series. Even on the xt5, despite the pronounced grip, the balance is very precarious, and with the lens hood mounted the whole thing is quite ridiculous. We are light years away from a "fifty". It should be understood to all intents and purposes as an 85mm, too bad the compression remains that of a 50mm, with "strange" results. The image quality is stellar, perhaps one of the best 50 f1 0.95 around, although alas the DX sensor thwarts its chances in my opinion. Given the size, I assume a safe cover of a larger sensor, which would really do justice to such a lens. The price is falling inexorably, given the specificity and the little difference with the 56 1.2, which I would undoubtedly prefer in a generalist context. In conclusion, it is a lens that I did not understand well, and like many others, given the numerous specimens on sale almost new in the various markets. It nullifies the sense of a Fuji body by throwing away portability, usability and discretion during use, prerogatives of this system. To make portraits from a standstill there are other systems and other lenses...

Pros: Sharp, impressive image quality.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I took fuji's 50 f1.0, my idea was to match that nice 26 mpx backlit sensor without AA filter to the optical qualities of the one ... besides L af performing for a portrait lens, with the new Fuji af system you can do a bit of everything, I want to push it to the limit in different fields of use, I am very fascinated by the quality of the images produced by the xtrans combo and the one .. in the press I think I will be thrilled ! This choice of quality and relative compactness if we think of the sx-10 combined with the 50 f1.0 , can prove functional for street , events , urban , portrait , Dog Photography , why not ? It's a nice solution, I also missed a new 16 f2.8. Optics released in 2019 that should be sharp and fast for street or video . In short, I can say that I have found peace, for the genres that I treat, if we think that to do street I went around with a TTArtisan 17 mm APSC f 1.4 is a xt1, with fixed aperture at f8 and focusing endlessly, I pulled out wonderful prints ... with the 50 if I close at f8 or even less at 5.6 surely with the new sensor I will bring out something impressive

Pros: Bokeh reference, reference construction, diameter filters 77, AF lending to be an F1, excellent price/performance ratio, crisp enough, unique f1 auto focus on APSC format.

Cons: Weighs... but there really is so much glass to move!, important dimensions inevitably.

Opinion: I had the 56 f1.2, excellent lens equipped with a beautiful bokeh at TA, then... then I tried this and immediately fell in love with it! I use it for now on Xpro3 waiting to buy X-T4... The very first shot I took was a portrait of my daughter at F1... the first thing I said when I saw the image on PC was "wow!". Yes, this F1 lens is just crazy and the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that, it manages to combine a sharpness more than good on the chosen point of fire, along with a progression of the bokeh and the detachment of fairytale plans! The out-of-focus areas are of incredible softness and as mentioned, the blurry is very progressive, really wonderful!. Af side, even here the 50 F1 is doing very well, the speed of the AF for a lens of this size and this opening is really good, moreover, it has a safe AF even at TA, especially if you use face/eye recognition. As a portrait lens in the house Fujifilm is unrivalled! And it surpasses in every aspect the exceptional 56 f1.2. The disadvantages are the weight and the size, we are talking about 850gr of fixed optics where inside there is really a lot, a lot of high quality glass and on a body such as an X-T30 it is really very unbalanced. It is not a super versatile lens obviously and is aimed at a specific user, if you do a lot of portraiture and fashion for example it is the definitive optics! Especially in the professional field, if instead these photographic genres are not the primary activity I would certainly recommend the 56 f1.2 that weighs half and is very close to it as yield and performance. To conclude... superlative optics in all things absolutely recommended for those who make the portrait its first photographic genre vote 10.

Pros: Bokeh, "relatively" small size, precise AF, tropicalized, excellent construction.

Cons: AF not comparable to lighter optics but still usable. Can't fit in your pocket;-) Chromatic aberration to f/1.0

Opinion: It's an unparalleled lens. Despite the incredible openness, it has the usability of a normal lens. The AF is not comparable to Fuji's F2.0 series but of course it could not be otherwise. In any case, it is used without any problem and the AF is still precise. Weight and size are there but within the limits of usability, not other than a zoom f/2.8. If you want to see how he behaves there is my field test and image analysis on my YouTube Channel (Dael Maselli) https://youtu.be/GKzNBm7-lf0

Pros: Pleasantness and softness of the blurred. Great engraving at full opening. AF extremely precise. Incredible transmission. Constructive quality.

Cons: Generous weight (845g). AF not lightning. Move a lot of glass.

Opinion: I summarized what I think, accompanying the thoughts from many photos here: http://www.davideblandino.it/blog/2020/10/03/review-the-one-l-uno/ Optics is unique as the fuji marketing rightly says. The One, the 1.0 is an optics for those who understand and know how to appreciate it. The cost is in line with the product and is not at all high when compared with its more closed brothers in fuji or solutions of similar complexity of other houses.
