I also re-evaluated the sharpness, superior to the RF 24-70 f2.8 but above all, I am also starting to appreciate its excellent three-dimensionality!

I did not detect any significant aberrations, not even obvious distortions; although obviously, given the optics, there are. The length, the weight; but I would also add the preciousness in the hands; make it unwieldy. In my opinion, it is not a jack of all trades, to be carried around for reportage. His soul is three-footed; Which is no small thing, especially for me in the theater. This is obviously in my opinion: because I know at least two photographers who already use it for weddings. The tripod mounting ring is the final highlight!

Opinion: Very responsive and well balanced. The zoom ring is very smooth and the AF lock is spectacular. Very good color rendering like all RF-Ls. It will be put through its paces between February and March for various events, and I'm sure it won't disappoint at all. In terms of size, it looks like an EF 70-200 but much lighter and more manageable. Very, very positive first impression. Not at all bulky in use, in the backpack it requires a little extra space, no problem. With the two buttons for lens functions and control-ring, it's a lot of fun to set them effectively. The tripod mount is removable, I leave it and turn it up as if it were a handle. Not uncomfortable at all. The convenience of ranging between 24 and 105 is priceless and very profitable, especially with this opening. - update to February 22 - After two events and about 800 shots in two days I can be more than satisfied with this RF. The weight after a few hours is felt, also thanks to the R5 with the BG, but the fact of not being in the way and being able to make excursions from 24 to 105mm with nice close-ups and with an excellent performance, I can't complain about anything and everything remains well balanced. It's just as good a blade as the RF 28-70. The ease of handling the AF ring and aperture control ring allowed me to make quick selections with and without flash. AF well reactive to burst, if I miss any it's only my fault. For the rest, +10 to this last Canon jewel.
