As for the accuracy of the detail, this is present as long as the subject is not too far away and/or that the focal length does not need to be extended to the maximum. At least this is what we were able to find in combination with the R10. I recommend it exclusively on the reflex system as in my opinion on more modern systems it loses a bit of goodness. I'm replacing it with the more modern RF 100-400 IS to get a few more mm that in naturalistic is always useful and in the hope of having a little more sharpness at all focal lengths.

The difference and versatility of use in comparison is quite obvious. This 70-300 is also great in portraiture as well as landscapes. It is always sharp, unlike the RF 100-400, especially when used to shoot landscapes/objects/subjects at greater distances, in the same light conditions, where it always shows good/excellent sharpness. Even when used with adapter, it maintains a good balance and lightness. Happy with the exchange that I would do a hundred times. For me it deserves a full 9, unlike the RF 100-40 which, for my taste, bordered on sufficiency and a mediocre value for money.

Opinion: Among the many 70-300s I've tried (old Canon, stabilized or not, Sigma, Tamron...) it is without a doubt the best quality as far as image quality is concerned. Compact and solid construction, not too heavy, very efficient stabilizer, fast and silent focusing although unfortunately not very comfortable in some situations since it is electro assisted. Ideal for completing a lightweight and efficient setup.
