Pros: superb A/F if can find a good one ,they are getting long in the tooth now ,I have had many cameras from both Nikon and canon including 7d,7d2,80dX2, 1D4,and so far I am in my third 1d3 ,I just love them for wildlife

Cons: large and heavy if your small, ideal for big blokes like me .10mp is behind the pack these days but I defy anyone to tell me what camera I shoot with without the exif files .

Opinion: these are cameras that produce good workable files that have little noise at moderately high i.s.o values and any noise is easy to control as well ,the extremely fast A/F combined with 10fps shooting make wildlife and birds in flight easy ,especially with the ring of fire focus option .a bonus is these are still pro bodies and can now be purchased for half the price of a cheap dslr so are within the reach of even start up photographers .a u.k shop WEX even gives 12 months warranty on there used bodies . I did have a mk4 for a few months but prefer the ease of use of the mk3 in all honesty there is very little difference .the menu system is also easier on the mk3 its very basic with no bits for video getting in the way its a photographers dream machine

Pros: A 1 series, in many ways top at the time: robustness, AF, burst, ergonomics.

Cons: Files not always convincing, colors sometimes unrealistic. From ISO 1600 upwards sometimes embarrassing results, with noise beyond logic. Rear display equal to a postage stamp and of poor visibility and quality.

Opinion: In general, excellent machine: on everything, as the top series require, the body with all the controls horizontally and vertically in dimensions that are all in all small. The shot of the 1DMKIII was quite quiet, especially useful in the theater, for the off-road that it was. Precise AF with good results. On the rendering of colors I had, and I have reviewing old images, several perplexities especially in the color calibration, which I have certainly never succeeded at its best; in my personal opinion, the 5 series from the mkII had subsequently made great strides forward in terms of color rendering. It was still a great pleasure to use it, it gave satisfaction and if you find it in good used it is worth having it.

Pros: Robustness, Reliability Speed is a series 1

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: A Lady Reflex like the 1DS Mark III I reviewed yesterday. A tank that offers indescribable quality, precision and speed. The sound that makes the mirror when shooting is a musical symphony. Otherwise you take it in your hands you have the feeling of robustness and reliability. The photos he unsheasses are unique. Smooth and easy photo processing. I think that the noise if handled properly is equivalent to the old and beloved grain of the films. I own both the 1DS MIII and the 1d MIII and the 1D MIV. They are all three SLRs that can still say and give a lot. With the 1D Mark III and its 10mpx they are more than enough for A3 prints. I apologize if I'm a bit romantic but I started back in 1989 with a Canon EF of 1972 and then alongside the legendary F-1 of 1976. I spent whole nights in the darkroom. When everyone went digital, I was still working in analog. Then one day I experimented with digital with an Eos 400d and from there I stopped at the 1 series alongside the 5D series with the L series optics. For the display is not a problem I'm used to not seeing the result immediately after the shot waiting to be in the process of processing. I would be very happy to find other users who shoot with a series 1 like those mentioned to exchange opinions curiosity etc. I thank you for your patience and attention a warm greeting to all readers. I had forgotten that the wireless file transmitter wft-e2 accessory very convenient for photos in the studio or to download photos to the PC.

Pros: Top frame quality, ergonomics, infinite battery, build quality.

Cons: given the age no one ... maybe the shot quite noisy.

Opinion: Top machine, even today (2022) still has a lot to say, its 10mpx are few for the extreme crops to which we are accustomed today, but they are abundant and exceptional for printing up to A3. Beautiful colors, excellent shades and contrasts. The sensor has a fantastic rendering far from the modern and artificial of today. Good seal up to 800 ISO. The construction is excellent, sturdy, built to last, built to accompany you to the Himalayas or the Amazon. Tropical. Fast and accurate AF and high-performance burst. Noisy shooting even in silent mode.

Pros: Canon colors; price of used car (March 2021); M.a F; burst; infinite battery; the fact that it's a series 1.

Cons: In view of what we have in our hands, I see very few of them. I can't consider "cons," characteristics from 14 years ago. His still does it very well today.

Opinion: I worked on football fields and in serie A arenas and also in theaters for dance essays for years. It has always allowed me to perform PRO work at the highest levels. Then came the 1DX (I and II) that brought with them those improvements necessary to always be able to offer the top of the work even in those situations until then critical. Just two days ago I bought from RCE Padova a body with only 1000 shots and in showcase conditions. (When I say "showcase", I mean that in my opinion that body was purchased and NEVER extracted from the box). His price (only 340€) on the first one made me suspicious and made me ask the question of where the jam was. Then, being RCE that I know well and that I trust blindly, I decided to take it, if only to look at it and re-overshadow the good times of work on the sidelines with boisterous colleagues. I naturally tried the camera to check its status and was almost moved. FOR FET TA! I would still use it on the football pitch today; not really in a building. His last usable ISOs are the 1600, as long as he doesn't crop too much. But for portrait work in the studio; for architecture, as long as you have at least 14 mm; for a thousand other jobs where it is not necessary to push on the accelerator of sensitivity, this quality monster can still give immense satisfaction today!
