It was the choice between the 70-180 , the 70-200 and this one, I own a Zeiss 135 manual f2 and it was the best glass I ever used, now i appreciate AF and finally I decided to give this Batis chance with an adapter. Bought used for half price and I can only say it surpasses my expectations . The Megadap opens Nikon Z for Zeiss AF and the results are impressive, I now look to find the 18 mm used, also from Zeiss. Concerning the results it is difficult to articulate what is the difference between this glass and let's say Nikon . the 80-200 was simply too heavy and Nikon S lenses are perfect , sharp clean etc, but this Zeiss brings in something more something like how I wanted the picture to look when I took it. Maybe this is not objective or in no way a scientific review, but I use Hasselblad XD, Nikon and Olympus systems and this Zeiss lens on Nikon Zf has quickly become one of my favorites, I would compare the results ( if I may say the way a photo speaks to me) with the Hasselblad xd 80mm witch is outstanding and as expensive. my advice to Nikon users: try it
