I tried to connect it to the PC to update the firmware and the USB port was obviously damaged since the PC did not recognize the device (but this will be a problem of the specific lens taken second-hand). In short, I'm returning it and will save for the fuji 27mm 2.8 as a pancake.

Cons: A few too many flares, colored halos (also created by off-screen lights), no lens hood, star effect with very long rays in the backlight, fixed diaphragm. It doesn't work on Sony Nex 5N.

Opinion: Bought just to try it, given the cost, a month later I must say that I found it good. Very small and pocket-sized, it has some optical defects but, given the cost, this aspect is absolutely not to be criticized. All in all, the defects present are not serious or unacceptable and can easily pass for "character", as happens for vintage lenses when mounted on modern mirrorless cameras. The geometric distortion is also okay all in all. Obviously, the sharpness is not "high performance": good in the center but at the corners you can perceive a certain decay. The presence of autofocus, which by the way works well on my A7III, really amazed me. The existence of a USB type C port, together with a specially dedicated smartphone app, guarantee subsequent updates and the possibility of functional improvements. Given the overall size, and the cost, this lens makes up for all the small flaws I found. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on the Sony Nex 5N, and that - for me - is a big drawback. As soon as it is attached to the mounth the camera turns off and freezes. On the net I learned that Viltrox itself, made aware of the problem, replied that this lens is not compatible with Nex5N, (to know it before!). Maybe they will fix the problem in the future with a software update? We'll see...
