Compared to the 70-200 Z ehhhh clearly does not hold and compared with the 80-400 Z .. ditto.. but to the test of the facts it is sharp from 70 to 300 just enough, and it is a remarkable enough, and has a beautiful bokeh .. it did not make me regret absolutely the 70-300 AFP, the same quality at the two extreme focal lengths, but, surprise, higher than the intermediate clearly, and all in a greater compactness ... and it's sharp.... maybe it is not suitable for some sensors ?? Perhaps?? (The MTFs are against me). I do not allow myself to judge, but on Z6II it went very well, also tried on Z5 WHERE I actually noticed a hair of softness at the edges .. but just a hair and only at 70mm as if there were a difference between the z6II backlit sensor and the cmos sensor of the z5. All seasoned with a nice lightness and compactness, too bad it lacks internal stabilization. I will then update with the tests on Z8, but certainly a nice optics.

In this period where if you want these focal lengths on nikon z you have only this choice or resort to the accrocco of the ftz with a 70-300 nikon F ... I think we can be more than satisfied. This lens responds well to af, and 'light, and' tropicalized and also at a constructive level, despite being in polycarbonate, it seems stable and well assembled. The optical part does not suffer particularly from aberrations and flare but it must be said that if at 300mm you try to get the greatest reproduction ratio, often the details are kneaded: better to move away a little and crop or shoot at less than 300mm.
