Pros: It does its duty

Cons: Leverage twice as much diaphragms, but it's natural

Opinion: I use it with Sony 200/600 G solely to photograph the moon. For this use is fine. It has a sharpness and AF speed that you hardly notice the differences on images where it has not been used. The diaphragms from the f/6.3 of 200/600 you get to f/13, but it is the serious defect of all teleconverters, and f/13 to photograph the moon is fine. I use the focal length to the maximum and I find no loss of quality. I don't think I'll use it for other types of photos because with the 200/600 you don't go for a walk, so for the use I make of it is fine. The price absolutely reasonable

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, little footprint, right price

Cons: Lose a few light stops

Opinion: A Fantastic multiplier, you lose absolutely nothing on the sharpness, and even the autofocus responds well by doing its job. The only downside is that if you mount es on 100-400 the normal f/5.6 become f/11 and you lose a little light but it's normal on all multipliers it's like that. Great performance not only in portraiture and photographic hunting, but also in the landscape, where both 700 and 800mm take home great images, sharp and of excellent quality. I tried both the 1.4x and the 2x and I chose to buy the 2x, initially I thought it was losing something as many people think but it wasn't like that. A tip, when using it you never go to the maximum focal of the lens, that is, if you use it on a 70-200mm push it to 150-180mm, if you use it on a 100-400mm go no more than 350mm.

Pros: Many

Cons: Few

Opinion: It is difficult to review a focal duplicator, it is an optic almost always considered to be second level, which is tasked with expiring the performance of the optics that will duplicate. However, in this case I want to describe my experience. I had to decide whether to buy the 70-200 GM or the 100-400 GM, as you know the two optics have almost the same price. Of course, if my passion was the birdI would have had no doubt, but for the photograph that I usually do the focal 70-200 lends itself more. So I opted for the latter choice, but I also bought the 2x teleconverter. Well, knowing a friend who has the same camera and the 100-400, we took a few shots using "she 100-400" and "I the 70-200 th the 2x"; obviously the same shots, same mpositions, times, diaphragms, iso, etc... and easel. Result? Very difficult to identify from each other photos, you can only manage with 100% crop.
