Opinion: Coming from the 7R-IV I immediately found a general improvement, both physical, between keys, ergonomics, fantastic tropicalization even in the rain (even if first of all you have to prevent and take care of your kit). It has as usual a fantastic dynamic range improved compared to the R4 even in difficult light conditions. The improvement of the IBIS from 5 stops to 7-5/8 is felt especially in photographic hunting coupled with the Sony 200-600. Finally they have added via software the shutter closure to machine spend, to be activated in the machine settings though. I found the menu much better organized and I learned to move in 2 hours. (It is certainly very articulate and with ridiculous translations, so I keep it in English). Once set with its own parameters, this machine is a real weapon. The auto focus coupled with the AI is deadly (I decided to upgrade from the R4 for this reason alone) but if you don't shoot birdlife but only portrait, landscape and you don't have the budget I recommend the previous version in the same way. A sore point in my opinion is the battery life much shorter than the R4 and the burst has not changed. Soon I will get the competing CFs and I will try the difference with the SD tough V90 that I currently mount. At high ISO I find it a little improved but with such a dense sensor you can't expect total perfection. Anyway, the upgrade was worth it

The thing that I really appreciate about all the qualities of this Sony a7RV, in addition to the fact that it boasts one of the best AFs currently designed, I would dare to compare it to a "sniper", is the fact of having two cameras in one, let me explain: precisely because of the advantage that such a dense sensor offers, working in Full Frame mode we can delight in 61 mpx offering us an image quality rich in extraordinary and superfine details while, used in Apsc mode the sensor works at 26 mpx which often not even the last FF year, many stop at 24 mpx, well, I assure you that the image, in addition to favoring a Crop factor of 1.5X (much appreciated and useful especially for nature photographers, like me), we get a simply surprising image quality and rich in details.
