Pros:Sharpness at full aperture, colors, construction (Black version)
Cons:Focus ring not full time manual focus and spinning during use in af
Opinion:Looking for a good fisheye with af after a good Samyang 8mm for aps-c and the excellent Samyang 12mm for full frame, I came across this lens and after some hesitation I bought it. What can I say, fully satisfied with the purchase, already sharp at full aperture, it improves further by closing down to f/8. Accurate af with both 5d IV and 1DX and correspondence with distance scale (I don't complain about the randon focus reported by some). Highly recommended. Update of 28.3.2024 I would like to point out that on the R6 with adapter it is perfectly compatible and it is a pleasure to be able to focus at any point in the frame.
Pros:Light, outstanding for underwater photos, great AF
Cons:Sharpness and distortion
Opinion:It's a lens with great value for money that I use on my CANON 5D mk III. The AF responds very well to my needs and the chromatic rendering is really good. Excellent workmanship, pleasant to the touch and very small size. I use it purely for underwater photos where often the ambient photo is the master. It has obvious aberrations and distortions that in underwater photography are often tolerated while in the landscape and urban photo it has many limitations.
Pros:I find that it is well built, excellent performance even at TA good even the AF, tried in difficult situations defends well against the light with very little flare.
Cons:On my own account, I never use it very willingly.
Opinion:I bought this lens found used in a shop where I also tried an 8 mm Samyang and I must say that the choice fell immediately on the Sigma, no sign of wear only stains on the front lens that with a little liquid have disappeared, the yield I was amazed and the focus is always ready and fast with the Nikon D610 even if with a FISHEYE there is always a lot of depth of field and then easy operation. No problem of construction or other noise of "scrap" as with the 17/35 sigma, if you find it used I definitely recommend it.
Pros:Construction, weight, color, speed and precision AF, good resistance against the light, quality / price ratio, f / 2.8 very useful, Sharpness to TA
Cons:chromatic aberrations, edges TA at the center sharpness is always good
Opinion:Lens with high build quality, and a good value for money, I am using it on Nikon D810, and I must say I was impressed by the pictures that returns, with beautiful colors and natural, high definition, fast AF (although in most part of the situation is useless and you can safely use in MF) truly remarkable strength in the light, beautiful even the star loses a little something in the extreme edges especially TA, much better from f / 5.6, light and just the right size. They often have little at all apertures chromatic aberrations, especially in backlight on all fixable PP. Definitely recommend buying this Fisheye
