Pros: Excellent sharpness even at f/22, Almost no chromatic aberration, Zero distortion, Two hoods in the box, Portable bag, Great stabilizer, One of the best macro lenses in the world

Cons: Heavy weight, F/5.6 maximum aperture at 1:1 ratio

Pros: Great sharpness, nice focus ring, good autofocus speed, apochromatic, good ergonomy of feature buttons (AF/distance limiter/OS), good balance with lighter bodies (60D), robust. Still good with a Sigma 1.4x TC.

This is despite my lack of experience both in the discipline and in the use of luminous canvases. My judgment takes into account the other lenses used in this context: the EF 100 f2.0 USM and the Tamron 70-300 VS. The Sigma 150 proved to be slightly superior to the 100 f2 (the canon gets a little worse in tracking distant subjects) and much better than the tamron (which struggles to follow the subject even at 5 fps)

Pros: Sharpness, IS, Good AF*, Solid Construction, Filter Diameter, Rings & Selectors, Focal Length

Cons: AF* good but not for sports/birds, bulky lens hood

Opinion: Taken to have both a decent macro and a portrait telephoto all in one optic, wonderful purchase! The sharpness is very good already at TA (not a blade but it surprised me), the used price is quite good, the construction is solid (it has its weight but not excessive), dials and selectors are not plasticized, AF very good for subjects not too fast but not recommended for SPORT/AVIFAUNA, slightly bulky lens hood, excellent for both macro and portraits. It's multipliable!
