Opinion: Lens bought many years ago to equip my old Canon 40D as an alternative to the 18-55. Excellent for starting to shoot and spending little and having something vaguely better and wider-angle than the kit lens, but otherwise I strongly advise against it. My specimen, on New Year's Eve 2018, while I was doing a nice night to the stars and fireworks, after a gust of wind flew to the ground, broke both in front (the plastic ring) and also the focus ring and also the autofocus, in short today I keep it as a souvenir and as a paperweight, a task that it performs absolutely better than what it was born for.
