I wanted something complete and versatile, but small, that would give me a photographic chance in all those situations in which a monochromatic M body can not do it, so some close-up and close-up macro-like, some colorful sunset in passing, a bit of medium-canvas etc ... I add that I had no intention of building a second kit, preferring to invest the money in the optics of the main system, and therefore I had scanned all the compacts and bridges on the market at the time. The LX100 seemed to respond to all my wishes and, in fact, so it was. The lens of its is a bit soft, has a good center at all openings but is poor at the edges even diaphragm, but it is bright and covers the classic focal lengths 24-75mm, extendable up to 120 mm but only in jpg without too much degradation.
