Pros: The price at which you can buy it, M4/3 lens park full of very good lenses for what they cost, build quality, even the jpg is wonderful! Weight and dimensions, color balance and WB.

Cons: Olympus menu a bit difficult at the beginning, slightly limited dynamic range if there is intense sun, energy-intensive battery (mirrorless docet, anyway.)

Opinion: Alas I lost this jewel in a really unfortunate circumstance, I was shipping it and the courier lost my package ... from that moment I carry it in my heart, and in the future I will probably buy it again. We must not be frightened by the sensor, the quality it churns out is impressive even in jpg. It may have some limit in low light conditions in terms of sensor, even if the ISO are held very well up to 3200/4000... but for what you pay for it, it's a perfect purchase. 2/300 euros used and you have a car that is great if you want to start, or if you want to do a little more while having fun! It doesn't have the specs of a 2025 top-of-the-line... But if you don't need exceptional performance, give it a chance. The aesthetics are really beautiful then, going around it then is fun for the size and weight it has. The highlight is also the optics park, as mentioned in the Pros, there is a boundless amount of lenses at prices that are pulled right after you. For me, if you are not looking for something I repeat that is not the top of the range, if you are under 500 it is difficult for me to think of anything better than this little one in terms of performance and all the rest. She really made me fall in love, give her a chance on trust too.

Pros: Lightweight, tiltable screen, well stabilized, tiltable screen, good image quality, tiltable screen, full of features (compatible with the design age. Ah yes: tiltable screen.

Cons: The battery is not charged directly in the room, in subsequent developments the brainy but complete menu and tiltable screen have been abandoned.

Opinion: Never sold, not even when I had bought a mark IV with the idea of replacing it, often used instead of more performing machines on paper just because "I like it". Compared to the mark I, I didn't like the choice of large knobs, but otherwise really a step forward. I hated the complex and incomprehensible menu, but now I wonder what went through the mind of Olympus/Om System to change it, since its completeness made the camera a unicum between configurability, lightness, performance and cost. The same goes for the screen; I do photography, not video, and the articulated screen makes me seasick, I often shoot from below and above and doing it with that makes me lose time, concentration and maybe even photographic quality. I took the OM1 for obvious technological advantages, but I try to avoid my usual shots; when I return to em1 or em10 II I breathe a sigh of relief. The only comparable advance, for me is the Panasonic GX9 (look at how it is made); I tried the mark IV, but the new menu, very poor, depoetized me and I resold it immediately. A word on the image quality that many define as unacceptable from 3200 iso upwards: first of all the stabilization is for this, not to go up too much with the iso, then the development with DXO solves every problem, I took photos of a series of classical music concerts almost all at 6400 iso because of the non-luminous optics (who wants to go and see them, gallery "Duo") and I don't think I would have had extraordinarily better results with 2000 euros more of material. Today she is the queen of the second house, with a couple of vintage Pentaxes, these yes bright, and her grip for when the lens weighs; Being able to photograph with her is pure pleasure.

Pros: Portability, customizable menu, construction, tilt screen, full of sw functions

Cons: Difficult menu at the beginning, grip if you have big hands

Opinion: A great camera with a great yield. Well made, metal body that despite its size spreads a sense of solidity. It has perfect dimensions to be taken anywhere, so thumbs up for reportage photography. In my mountain excursions she was a fixed companion and when equipped with the 14-42 she was in a pocket of her jacket. Very useful tilt screen. I used it in every context, from frost to scorching heat, never a hesitation. A real creative treat are some software features such as live composite and live time. It's an m43 with all its pros and cons, as far as I'm concerned I've never felt the need for a larger sensor except in starry sky photographs. Bona dowry of dedicated objectives, the 12-40 then is wonderful.

Pros: Impeccable, compact construction, full of interesting and above all useful functions

Cons: Sensor yield at high iso poor, battery with little autonomy

Opinion: It accompanied me for a year and was my gateway to the micro four thirds. For what I paid I had a lot of satisfaction so much to use it for a couple of photo shoots to couples celebrating the first year of their son or before getting married. Rendering of colors really very pleasant, especially the greens that in my opinion turned out to be the brightest that happened to me during my post productions (trying in the dtessi places anhe my other SLR and mirrorless). I was also satisfied that in this small entry level I could take advantage of the exclusive functions of Olympus or the live time / composite / bulb in my opinion very very useful in my opinion. Its compactness and lightness allowed me to put it in places that before I would have only dreamed of (on a fence anchored with a couple of cables, poised on the bench of a church etc.), the real strength of this mirrorless. With low light the sensor is a sieve, above 1600iso rather than a photo seems to see fry an image, very very poor. We help ourselves with bright optics but it is of little use, if you are in low light conditions it is better to leave it at home.

Pros: Dimensions, stabilization, viewfinder

Cons: Ergonomics

Opinion: I realized that I have not reviewed this little ... that I still regret! Found in super offer online, I took it without thinking a second (although I did not need it). It keeps all the good things I remembered of the Em1 mk1 in a smaller body ... I equipped it with an external grip to definitely have more grip. The controls are all well accessible and customizable; I would have preferred the shutter button on a more pronounced grip but, I realize that it would have become a miniature EM1 MK1 and it would not have been feasible! I used it with a small and modest Lumix 14-45 and the af was still fast ... I dare not imagine with the 12-40 I had; Then combined with some old vintage it was really easy to focus with the focus peacking. The viewfinder, although small, I found it nice readable and without slowing down. Touch and tiltable display, dials and buttons in the right place... the Olympus seem designed for me! The files are really almost immediately ready if set in the right way, I shoot practically 90% in jpg and with photoshop I limit myself to edit very little and this is a great plus! I regret having almost given it away...
