Pros: Excellent image quality, optimal rendering at f/5.6. 1:1 magnification (2:1 considering the crop), Compactness and lightness, Robust construction, Fast and silent autofocus, Versatility: in addition to macro photography, it is effective for portraits thanks to the equivalent focal length of 120 mm, Pleasant bokeh, focus limiter.

Cons: Chromatic aberrations at maximum magnification, edge sharpness only at f/2.8, Lens hood not included, By-wire manual focus, poor working distance at 1:1

Opinion: The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro is a versatile, high-quality lens designed for the Micro Four Thirds system, which excels in macro photography but also proves itself for portraits and landscapes. This lens combines a compact design (185g, 82mm length) with a robust construction that is resistant to dust and splashes, making it ideal for use in harsh outdoor conditions. The metal bayonet and ZERO Coating provide durability and protection from flare and ghosting. With a focal length equivalent to 120 mm and a maximum magnification of 1:1, it allows you to capture microscopic detail with impressive sharpness, particularly in the center of the frame at f/5.6. The autofocus system is fast and quiet, a plus for both stills and video, and it works surprisingly well even at extreme magnifications. The presence of a focus limit selector and a distance/magnification indicator on the barrel adds convenience, especially for macro photographers who need precision. However, it is not without its flaws. At full aperture (f/2.8), the edges of the image are slightly less sharp, and at maximum magnification chromatic aberrations can be seen, although correctable in post-production. The absence of optical stabilization can be a limitation for those who use camera bodies without built-in stabilization, and by-wire manual focus may not appeal to those who prefer mechanical feedback. In addition, the optional lens hood represents an additional cost. In conclusion, the Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8 Macro is an excellent lens looking for a lightweight, robust and versatile option for macro photography and beyond. Its image quality, portability, and competitive price make it a value choice, despite some limitations such as chromatic aberrations at 1:1 at f/2.8 (but who really uses a macro at f/2.8?).

Pros: Weight, dimensions, cost

Cons: no hood

Opinion: An incredible lens if you evaluate the yield in relation to cost, weight and size. Tiny, you can keep it in your pocket, and manages to have great incisiveness and a good blurred ... of course, it is still a 60mm and if you compare it with the bokeh produced by a 180mm on FF it comes out with a bit broken bones, but in comparison to the aforementioned it looks like a doll lens ... I use it with the OM-1 and I must say that they are a deadly combination for exploration... I use the Micro 4:3 as a lightweight kit when exploring new areas, to decide if it's worth coming back with the heavy equipment... In this sense, it greatly exceeds the needs, still giving quality images. A lens that, analyzed in its context, is portentous.

Pros: Image quality, lightweight, excellent manual maf ring, worth more than it costs

Cons: Maybe the distance selector of maf I would have done differently but you get used to it, as tradition olympus lack of the hood

Opinion: Lens that I have owned for almost 5 years and that I love, combined with the lumix g9 gives me so much satisfaction, it should be used carefully, on tripod and remote shooting from the best of itself given the focal length, but also freehand manages to give so much. It's also good for portraits set as far as I'm concerned, I recommend it, one of my absolute favorite lenses that I squeezed thoroughly.

Pros: Lightweight, image quality, very bright and sharp, great focus staking with Olympus Camera

Cons: a bit complicated to use at the beginning

Opinion: Great goal, surprised by the quality. Just released the big brother 90 mm PRO, I found it at a super price !! Really great and fun. Recommended for all olympus owners, it is really worth having it always with you... The hood is not supplied but it is not essential for this photographic genre in my opinion.

Pros: Image quality, RI 1:1 (2:1 considering crop factor), splash resistant (but not tropicalized), lightweight, compatible with focus stacking in camera (Olympus), used value retention

Cons: a bit plastic, hood not included, lever to change the focus distances comfortable as a concept, but uncomfortable as an operation

Opinion: For what it costs, great lens, compact, lightweight, but really excellent quality. The AF is not phenomenal as speed, but it is quite precise (in macro many do not use it, but the beauty of doing macro with m4/3 is precisely the possibility of being able to do it more easily freehand and in that case the AF is very convenient!). New do not give it to you, but it must be said that it holds very well the value in used (new is between 450 and 550 €, used to find it for less than 350 € is complicated). Other "cons" besides those written above do not come to mind! Waiting for the new macro Pro, this lens is an excellent replacement, which did not make me regret the excellent Canon 100mm f/2.8 (normal, not L) on FF. For what it is, rating 9
