Pros: Lightweight and remarkable focal range, useful for "monooptic" outings, without bags in tow.

Cons: Not very sharp over 100 mm, usable, in my opinion, up to 120mm at most (maybe it depends on the sample in my possession, but from 120 upwards just so as not to miss the shot...)

Opinion: Had on my OM5 II, discreet optics, practical and quite light. Wearing the camera around my neck the lens tends to stretch downwards, although perhaps a defect of my sample. Always perhaps linked to my specimen ... unusable over 100-120 mm, so I replaced it with the 12-100... There is no comparison (not even of price :-O )

Pros: Lightweight, Tropicalization, Solid construction, Excellent travel optics to always have in your bag especially with compact Olympus/OM System camera bodies of the 10 and 5 series.

Cons: Focus ring without end stop.

Opinion: Lens purchased as a kit in 2019 with OM-D E-M5 Mk2. It is gladly carried in every bag, the weight is really low and not tiring even for a whole day. The photographic quality, for me as an amateur photo who creates memories for personal/family use, is excellent. I don't make videos with the camera so I don't pronounce. In recent years I have not had any problems, the lens does not extend and always remains solidly in place despite the fact that there is no lock button, no dust has ever entered, no creaking or hesitation of the components. Olympus places it in the Premuim family of its lenses and it shows (I also have a Nikon 18-105mm lens for DX bought new and that one is built cheaply, you can understand it by touch and handling it). Since it is a travel superzoom that is always with me, it tends to accumulate, over time, dust in the attachment guides of the lens hood, everything is solved with a brush and a toothpick. At dusk, as is physiological for lightweight superzooms, it is better to use a tripod, an adequate shutter speed, remote shooting with the App or the self-timer. Or, for static subjects, you can leverage the excellent in-camera stabilization of the Olympus/OM-System bodies. If all this is boring, you mount a lens with an adequate aperture and speed. F4 at 14mm, F4.1 at 17mm, F4.3 at 20mm, F4.7 at 25mm, F5.4 at 42mm, F5.6 at 100 to 150mm. Highly recommended lens, vote 9!

Pros: Lightweight, economical, versatile

Cons: I don't know at this price

Opinion: An all-rounder not to be despised at all. I was amazed by the optical quality of such a small and lightweight lens. It has a remarkable travel equivalent to 28-300mm. I did an afternoon outing with the OM-D E-M10 IV and on a beautiful bright day I didn't miss anything. The portability of the kit sometimes becomes a primary need.

Pros: Extreme versatility, portability, weatherproof, fairly sharp, 28-300 equivalent focal range in which 80 percent of photographic situations fall, economical

Cons: Not very bright after 70mm, at extreme focal lengths it tends to knead images with certain sensors

Opinion: It is the main lens of my lightweight travel kit, together with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II and the M.Zuiko 9-18 f./4-5.6 Very compact, lightweight, tropicalized, adaptable a bit to all kinds of photography (I also do some macros), it is the ideal companion for those who often travel with the family and has no space for large kits and bright but heavy lenses, nor time to change goals often. Of course, if you are looking for absolute quality you have to turn to other lenses (such as the combined 12-40 f / 2.8 PRO and 40-150 f / 2.8 PRO) but with other weights and dimensions, in addition to the time and missed opportunities to change lenses continuously. In short, an excellent compromise price (in the used ridiculous), quality (for me good), performance (excellent). To be supplied with Olympus/OM Digital.

Pros: Flexibility, tropicalization, compactness and lightness. Fast and precise focus.

Cons: Softness at all focal lengths, but especially after 60/75mm.

Opinion: It is compact and light and is often located at just over € 300. Very convenient for travel, includes hood. It can be a great travel companion. Unfortunately the sharpness did not satisfy me, it is inferior to the Panasonic 12-60 (not Leica) and much (but much) lower than the Olympus 40.150rII, the cheap and plastic one. Clear that it is only one goal, so the race is unequal against two. But once you see what you do with cheap plastic is very difficult to accept the shots "smudge" of 14-150 II.
