Pros: Compactness, retro style for fans of this kind of cameras, image quality.

Cons: Lack of protection on the sensor in the lens change, lack of the physical function of auto isos, lack of tropicalization, limited battery life.

Opinion: Purchased to replace my Canon 6D mk 2 reflex, and I must say that the only thing I miss is the weather seal. Really high image quality, so that I don't miss the FF at all. I consider it an excellent travel machine, compact and light. I use it safely even at high ISO and, with a slight noise reduction in post, the file remains usable. I shot in varying conditions, from landscape to night and the Milky Way. The gripless body is a bit difficult to handle, especially if you shoot all day; Fortunately it is easily solved with the Smallrig, which I highly recommend - even on a stand, because it has the built-in attachment without the use of plates to be screwed underneath. The aesthetics, for lovers of the genre, are very accurate. In the hand it gives a "plasticky" sense and does not seem to have the classic robustness given by the film version. I find the viewfinder suitable for the price range. Neither excellent nor poor. Certainly improvable, but it does its job. The autofocus is always precise and fast, although a few more functions, such as the z 50 II, would be appreciated. The battery, a bit like all MLs, doesn't last long; I recommend at least another spare if you are out for a whole day. I hope for an improvement on the negative notes in a II version. If there is one... Still satisfied! Well done Nikon!

Pros: Aesthetics, direct controls, lightness

Cons: Position of some keys (wb on the front) you inadvertently end up on it holding the machine. Very grainy high ISO image rendering, JPEG artifacts?

Opinion: I bought the Zfc because it's too pretty, so similar to my old FM. I put them close together in the window to keep each other company. Of course, to do the most old style thing I took the 28 SE which is so reminiscent of the NIKKOR E series. However, being a Sony FF and aps-c user (A7CM2 and A6700) for years now, I have a fleet of Sony E lenses, I looked on Amazon for an adapter to mount Sony lenses on Nikon Z and I found it, Meike transmits all electronic functions and can be updated in the firmware via USB. With the same optics I was a bit disappointed, of course the 6700 is a top of the range 26Mpx the Zfc has only 20, and is of a much lower price class, practically half, but the yield is much lower, less sharpness, reminiscent of the graininess of high sensitivity films, with the same shooting parameters. I reserve the right to make further checks for intellectual honesty, but I fear that this is the reality. Give me some feedback please. Thank you all.

Pros: Lightness, image quality, practicality, with vintage lenses it is a spectacle

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Simply practical, I use it with vintage lenses Helios, Leica, Olimpus, Yashica ... All in manual is Fantastic !! It seems to take a dip in the past... Even with its Z-mount lenses it is gorgeous. Practical and light, excellent price quality!! I highly recommend it, also because the files that come out are workable and not very heavy unlike a full-frame with many pixels.

Pros: Product file quality, ring nuts, lightness, versatility, aesthetics, rich in features

Cons: You can perceive the entry level construction, not excellent iso hold, uncomfortable grip (but it is a virtue on certain occasions)

Opinion: I had the Z FC for more than 3 years, a period in which I approached the world of photography again after a long stop. Coming from the D7100 I was excited to switch to the mirrorless system for a whole series of merits and also for the compactness of the body compared to the old SLR. As soon as I took it I immediately perceived that from a construction point of view there was a step back compared to the D7100, the abundant plastic and the keys a bit delicate to the touch, but anyway apart from this I immediately found it very fun and easy to use, thanks to its dials that allowed me to make quick changes to the settings without having to fiddle inside the menus and without almost customizing the controls. The files it allowed me to make in some cases satisfied me very much and it was nice to experiment. In my opinion, as a first approach, or to have fun in many situations, it is the ideal machine. Then, of course, it also has some flaws: if the iso rises too high you can see it immediately, and in fact I always tried to keep them low even with the help of the trusty 35mm 1.8 S, which I used a lot at the expense of the integrated 16-50 pancake. Then it's true that it's compact but up to a certain point, even with the pancake I struggled to put it in my pocket unless I had a voluminous jacket (in this I realize there are more suitable models, but it's right to know). And then of course a stabilizer would have been useful, but here I have to say that in many situations you don't feel the lack of it. I used it all the time with the smallrig grip for a matter of grip and above all body preservation, but if you want to shoot like you used to, everything goes away and you go :)

Pros: Aesthetics

Cons: Construction a bit cheap. Lack of stabilizer on sensor and price.

Opinion: I have been using the Z-fc for about a year. I took it to support the z6II as the second lightest body so I can use it with both the 16-50 and the Z FF lenses. The machine does its job very well. It has a good viewfinder and a good touch display if you compare to the product category. The file is very good at medium low iso and generating a well contrasted, engraved file and with excellent GD. The resolution of 20 mpx now seems low but for me it is enough for almost all purposes. It has a well-laid out and easy-to-access menu. The main functions can be entered in the F menu and on the various function keys (which are not all programmable). Some functions could be added. The construction is a bit plastic. The ergonomics suffer from the vintage look and is slippery due to the absence of the handle. It is not tropicalized. The dimensions are more generous than it may seem in the photos. For what it offers the price is a bit high. The stabilizer on the sensor is missing and for me it is a significant cons since many FF lenses do not have it and the Aps lenses are very few. Sometimes Nikon is difficult to understand as their designs are compatible but completely polar opposites as solutions. In short: fantastic aesthetics (I took it also for this I do not deny it) but there is much better at those prices in the competition which precludes it to those who want to buy it as the only photographic solution. They recycled the 20 mpx sensor of the SLRs when with a 24 mpx Ibis they would have created a much more interesting product. Rated from 1 to 10 where 10 are the flagships type z9? I would say a 6.5 for the commitment to makeup and wig! :D
