Pros: Sensor, high ISO sealing, lightness, versatility, viewfinder resolution, burst.

Cons: Invasive blackout, embarrassing autofocus, useless dual processors.

Opinion: It is a 2018 camera "updated" in 2020 with a dual processor (expeed 6) not exploited properly and with the addition of the double memory slot. I bought it in November with the "Black Friday" promo at 1430€ and at this price it can also be but needless to say, Nikon on this price range has fallen far behind. At the full price or at least discounted at 1800/1900 body only, in my opinion, it's better to look elsewhere. Because? I found the autofocus really embarrassing, unusable many times even on stationary subjects, making mistakes as soon as the light conditions became slightly more complex. The automatic tracking also misses people who walk fast, the Dynamic AF on a seagull in flight misses 8 out of 20 photos. The small or large area cannot be used if the subject is between disturbing objects, otherwise it will be difficult to fire on the nearest object. The gust is excellent but if you follow something you have to go by intuition because of a blackout that is too invasive. For the rest, I confirm the PROs without going into too much detail. If you want something that allows you to try your hand at something more dynamic, if you want Nikon, it's better to stay in the reflex or buy, as I did, the Z8.

Pros: MAF, lightness, ergonomics, versatility

Cons: Absence in the manual the in-depth explanation of specific functions (for geeks it is not a problem)

Opinion: I make this review a little late compared to the purchase, it's been almost 2 years, it's not my first mirrorless nor the first camera. I must say that unlike all the reviews I have seen and heard on the net, the machine behaves really well, fast in the MAF even on side points, both AF-S and AF-C both with the single point and subject recognition (face eyes), usable and customizable menus. Machine suitable for those who want to do a bit of everything with a weight of files not excessive and workable even with PCs not of the latest generation, the gusts at the height of the market range and the quality of the files and dynamic range is good (I speak of intervals between 100-6400 ISO over I do not go in general except for very rare occasions). As for the battery I personally can reach 1500 shots quietly (shooting with priority to the viewfinder and the display does not turn on at every single shot this because I am bored as in the SLR to have the display behind that lights up at each photo) but even on tripod with the rear display on to me lasts a lot, I do not know what batteries you use ne that standby you have set but I hear say 200 shots and already finished (of course if you leave it always on with the swich between the 2 ON displays and the standby on OFF, I do not think that the competition offers much more). Now a couple of general considerations, as mentioned at the beginning I heard a lot of criticism about this machine and I frankly do not know why, I do not only own nikon but also bodies of other competing brands and I can tell you that its does it in an excellent way, when I hear that the MAF of the R6 II is superior (well I wanted to try) to me in several conditions it seemed more uncertain than the Z6, or when they say that the raw files of the z6 are more "noisy" than the sony a7 III (too bad they mount the usual sensor... mha okay) or when ".. but for birdlife my 1dx, D5 or A1 are of another level.... etc" but you are talking about flagships that "ARE BORN" to work in these conditions but how can you give objective judgments for machines that are placed on other market segments. After the controversy for those who think of buying it makes a great purchase, ah I forgot it also works very well the F-mount optics with the adapter (AF-S optics), practically you can go on quite a bit without fainting to change kit, the only flaw is the AF optics of the first generation become only manual focus because in the adatatore the motorized as in the SLR there is no longer but with focus peaking is not a big problem. Overall rating 9.5 (taking into account operations and market segment functions).

Pros: Lightness, digital viewfinder, focus.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: After exactly one year and 12,000 shots, I have the opportunity to enthusiastically review this extraordinary camera: the Z6 II. Initially, as a D850 owner, I was skeptical about the quality offered by the Z6 II, considering the transition from a 45 mg sensor to a 24 mg sensor. I thought the difference would be obvious, but I had to change my mind. The Z6 II surprised me in a positive way. The photos are spectacular, also thanks to the use of high quality lenses. Despite the lower number of pixels, I do not regret this feature at all. The Z6 II simplifies and makes the entire shooting process much more convenient, minimizing errors and delivering excellent image quality. I bought only one Z lens, the 85 1.8, which turns out to be very compact and lightweight. However, thanks to the lower weight of the machine, I rediscovered the pleasure of using my Sigma Art 135 1.8, which previously, with the D850, was impractical due to the combined weight of the two devices. In the end, I use the Z6 II 70% of the time and the D850 the remaining 30%. This makes me seriously consider selling both cars to switch to the Z8 in the future. Maybe a future Z8 II or a used Z9. Money permitting always.

Pros: ISO, dynamic range, customizations, electronic shutter, wifi connections, focus points, handling

Cons: Card counter, limited tilting display, the transition from viewfinder to display impales.

Opinion: I tried it in all situations, obviously it's a great car but it has several flaws that they couldn't solve. The monitor is scandalous does not turn totally even horizontally so you have problems even shooting from below or above. The tab door keeps opening by itself. The transition from viewfinder to display many times impals and there is no way to make it work and you stay there without being able to shoot. It happened to me with salamanders, not being able to bring the eye to the viewfinder I absolutely needed the monitor, but I got stuck and I had to shoot "ass" obviously the photo was blurred. This problem was already present on series 1 and has not been solved.... Very serious serious, we hope for a new firmware. AF works well but don't compare it to D6 and Z9. The recognition of the face works well the animal leave it alone.

Pros: For shots of wild animals the first advantage is the silent shot. Very comfortable body and with great possibility to customize the various keys. Af very accurate and fast enough to meet my needs. Very high file quality.

Cons: Door of the board that a couple of times is opened handling the machine.

Opinion: I come from D50-D300-D3 and D4 and now I've switched to mirrorless with the Z6ii. I found myself saving more than half a kg of weight for the car compared to my previous situation and, since I walk a lot in the mountains in the company of photographic equipment, I travel much lighter and more comfortable. I immediately found myself comfortable with the car and I was amazed at the precision of the af. Currently for photos of animals in nature I use it with the 80-400 that I used before and I am fine even if probably the dedicated lenses will make it better. I took it in kit with the 24-70 f4 and I must say that the pairing is amazing. The yield compared to D4 with 24-120 is significantly higher with one kg less. Now I am considering the purchase of the 400 f4.5 because of the weight, quality and brightness. I'm glad that Nikon, unlike Canon, didn't take the path of dark lenses. If I have to give it a rating I would say 9.5. With some improvements to the af department I would give 10.
