Pros: Quite portable, decent resolution, weather sealing, close up capability.

Cons: The zoom ring is quite stiff on rotation, noisy and shaking when switch off or change from shooting to play, expensive in comparison with the competition on the same segment quality/price; I experienced several strange moments when suddenly refused to focus.

Opinion: Its zoom range is welcomed and is filling a gap in the Fuji chain of lenses. I like the weather sealing and its close up capabilities, the resolution is decent, but not extraordinary. It is also nice that it accepts teleconverters and, at least with the 1.4x version, a decent prolongation can be achieved. I made a comparison, on the same body, with the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 VR and the sharpness is more or less the same, but the price of the Nikon is more than 3x lower. The main advantage of Fuji in this comparison is the weather sealing, acceptance of teleconverters and it seems, the lack of focus breathing.

Pros: Weight, size, price, WR, minimum focusing distance

Cons: Sharpness, AF, no tripod collar

Opinion: Focal range that is personally very useful for photos in nature. Minimum focusing distance that allows, at 300mm, to isolate almost macro-style details. Size and weight allow you to always have it with you, not common for a telephoto with an equivalent range of 100-450mm; Surely the openness is not the best, but somewhere you have to make compromises. Unfortunately, sharpness and AF are not the best, in fact making me prefer the 150-600 whenever portability is not so binding. I find a senseless omission that of the tripod collar; They could have found a solution, also because it extends a lot with the zoom and the camera-lens is quite unbalanced on the tripod (in addition to the fact that shooting vertically with the grip becomes impossible).

Pros: Lightweight, compact, sharp

Cons: I have a good mouth. I can't find any.

Opinion: Maybe if I was a professional (???) of technical photography, which has to go and see if in the corners the lens reaches the maximum "acuteness" because the photographed subject actually requires it, then I could find faults... But for normal photos, with normal subjects, in normal conditions it is perfect. I don't print photos of one meter by two anyway. Colors? MicroContrast? Aberrations? There's Photoshop that fixes everything. The photo is taken by the photographer and you like it or you don't like it. Blurred, blurred, discolored... If it tells something, it's beautiful. If it doesn't tell anything you can also have a Super-apo-ultra-definition... And you throw away the photo

Pros: Very good at all focal lengths when used within the limits of the optics

Cons: N.N.

Opinion: I have my say... For its price it's a good lens. Like all zooms with great range, it has its limits and must be considered To get closer to landscapes, objects that do not have particular details is fine, to have a good sharpness the subject must not be too far away otherwise it will not be able to make it to its maximum, especially if it is used at its upper limit but this depends on the level of sharpness that each photographer requires, for some it will be fine, for others it will not The most demanding will have to spend more a greeting to all

Pros: Tropicalization, sharpness, WR, excursion block

Cons: If I really have to find one, the lack of the tripod ring

Opinion: I bought this lens before leaving for Patagonia and South America, and I practically never took it off except on rare occasions! Lightweight, compact and tropicalized, it has a yield along the entire focal length truly remarkable! The stabilization does its duty in an excellent way even if the ring for the mono / tripod could have been convenient. The travel lock that is automatically deactivated by turning the dial is very convenient! Mounted on an APS-C it is already a nice cannon, but for lovers of photo hunting there is also the possibility of mounting multipliers! As far as I'm concerned, it's absolutely one of the best lenses I've ever used!
