Opinion: Objective done really well, to the touch it gives the feeling of robustness and build quality, the rings very pleasant, there is the aperture ring adjustable even in 1/3 stop very welcome honestly. Quite large lens compared to 45 or 63, but obviously it is the price to pay to have a 1.7 aperture, the MAF motorized does its job, it is not very quiet nor very fast, but it is like this a bit of the whole GFX system certainly with the 100 and the phase detection the MAF gains something compared to the 50 series which is only in contrast. Really sharp images even at TA the blur is creamy and progressive very nice to look at, as the lenses should be, but the modern ones lose this element a bit providing much more "fake" images (pass me the term) they seem almost stuck in post-production. The color rendering is also very beautiful, images with very natural colors and tonal transitions (except for film simulations in the camera). The only lens in the GFX series to have 11 blades and the bokeh can be admired in all its glory. As for flare and aberrations, nothing to report to date (if I find them in the future I will update). Definitely suitable for those who do portraits and compositions where they are looking for blur, but it also behaves very well at f/8 f/11 without any type of diffraction (beyond that I haven't tried but it's easy to be there). The MAF in a strong contrast situation is a little more uncertain (tested with the 50sII) uncertainty due more likely to the camera than to the lens. Obviously the price of this lens today exceeds 2000 euros, but compared to a whole series of lenses for FF it is not even an exaggerated price, Canon for the 50mm 1.2 wants more.
