Pros: Sharpness, excursion up to 105, speed AF Great all-rounder, well built, good focal excursion, excellent AF.

Cons: Nothing if it is used for the purposes for which it was designed (travel-reportage)

Opinion: A great optics, ideal all to do for the trip, I consider It an ideal destination for travel,The construction is very good and compact and has a balanced weight. Stabilization and a plus. AF Fast and accurate does not mistake a shot. Sharp already at F4, but for me the best comes from F/5.6 to F/11. I bought this lens mainly to replace the already Canon EF 24-105mm L

Pros: Very versatile focal range, fixed f4 excellent stabilization, compactness.

Cons: The price, perhaps. Nothing else relevant.

Opinion: Having had the EF 24-105 L IS first series for many years and having landed on the planet ML fullframe, it was a fairly obvious choice for me. It is heavy but robust, excellent sharpness even at the edge of the frame, for this reason, being familiar with L series lenses it is quite difficult to settle for less. Closing the aperture and having a very good PDC thanks to the very wide ISO sensitivities of recent R bodies, is a pleasure. On my sample, I found the "lock" a bit hard, but I don't know if it is intentional or not, we will talk about it again in a thousand shots. A worthy successor to its predecessors. It is difficult to be disappointed. Rating: excellent.

Pros: Image quality, focusing speed

Cons: Inadequate quality of materials, noisy

Opinion: I took this lens to have a good all-rounder on my new EOS R6 Mark II. Premise: all the other Canon lenses I have are excellent EF L-series lenses (135 f/2L USM, 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II IS USM, 16-35 f/4L IS USM). I'll start with the cons: The build quality of the RF 24-105 f/4L is not even close to that of the EFs in my possession, the plastic looks (I emphasize "seems") really poor, touching it with your nails scratches form, which then disappear by running your finger, or wiping it with a cloth. It is not a good feeling, it does not give the perception of a solid lens at all, far from it. It is a somewhat noisy lens, carrying it you can hear internal noises, like something "dancing" inside it. There is no window with the distance scale, I think this is a bit like this on all RFs, it is not a drama, especially for this type of lens, also considering that on the 6DII the value of the current focal length can be activated on the display and viewfinder, but it is something I am used to, on the 100-400 for example I use it often. The selectors are small and hard to operate, quite inconvenient. The stabilizer does its job. Positives: the quality and colors of the images produced is really excellent, considering that it is an all-rounder lens. Excellent sharpness. Lightning-fast and precise focusing. The focal range is very comfortable, the front mount, fortunately, is 77mm, so, if needed, I can use ND and polarizer that I already own. All in all, it is an optics that does its duty. Unfortunately, I don't find the price to be in line with the whole thing, because the build quality, I repeat, is really not up to the level of the L series.

Pros: A high-quality all-rounder, it allows you to take your photos home in all conditions, whether on holiday or at work

Cons: Small, skimpy and hard to operate selectors, on such a perspective it is quite "unacceptable"

Opinion: As per tradition, this RF 24-105 L series, like all those of the other brands, is a versatile, quality lens, which allows you to take home the job in all circumstances. The construction is very good, there are three rings, the zoom one is a little too hard, very fluid and soft the one for manual focusing, useful and well done (it moves to the sound of clicks) the customizable one. The barrel is quite small and light, unfortunately, however, the selectors are really skimpy and extremely complex to operate, it would take small fingers, sharp and sharp as Swiss army knives .... A real shame because the comfort of use suffers a lot. The autofocus is fantastic, precise, silent and very fast, as long as it is controlled by a body at the height such as an R1/3 or R5/6. Certainly being an F4 it is not super bright but combined with professional bodies such as R1 / 3, which are not afraid to go up to 25600 or 51200 ISO, it always allows you to take home the work in any light condition, even in arenas, guaranteeing sharp images and with an all in all always pleasant detachment. The stabilization is good but not exceptional, the same goes for all RF lenses especially with the most recent camera bodies (R7 R5ii R1), you can go down to 1/10 1/25 depending on the focal length thus gaining two/three full stops, but for me, used to the full 5 stops of the micro 4/3, they are only good / mediocre results, The negative difference is clearly felt. As for sharpness, the most debated topic in the 38 reviews prior to mine (I had no doubts about it...), I don't intend to waste too much time ... Modern optics are designed to give their best already at full aperture and at all focal lengths, with superabundant sharpness for any purpose and use... let alone a 1400 euro L series... I gladly leave the games and competitions at 500% on the monitor to beginners

Pros: Lightweight, sharp, L-series

Cons: Stabilizer noise

Opinion: After reading opinions from cheap lens I can say that the lens is sharp in fact it is an L series therefore a guarantee and going from an iMac with a full hd screen to 4k the sharpness of the lens can be seen much more. So it is a lens that for what it costs I highly recommend it. Obviously there would be the 24-70 2.8 but it still costs 1000 euros more and they are not justified.
