Pros: Great upgrade compare to the EOS M, nice tilt screen, settings close to a DSLR, new sensor 24 MP, EF adapter, all the set of your EF lens can be used.

Cons: EF M 18-55 STM very bad compare to EF lens, low duration of the battery.

Opinion: very good for a backup camera when you have a 5DIII, the quality of the pictures is nice with EF lens with adapter. The tilt screen is very useful for street photography and discreet.Waiting for the EF M 22 f/2 STM to have the camera wherever I go. Interesting to use it with a long lens with a tripod : 1.6x factor. AF is enough fast for landscape and street photography but not enough fast to follow running mammals

Pros: High performance sensor, High image quality, Excellent ISO high seal, Dual ring as professional, External microphone input, wi-fi, customizable profiles and lut

Cons: Not received

Opinion: Let's start with the field test: very comfortable and very versatile, the only mirrorless canon house to have double ring (one for the times and the other for the diaphragms) plus a third for exposure control! From a practical point of view, it allows you to control and decide in a fraction of a second all the parameters of the shot. Sensor of amazing quality, it calmly holds its head to many full frames. The display is of the highest quality and can be tilted both upwards (great for videos) and down (essential for shooting from above). The focus system is excellent, which also allows fine adjustment in AF with the possibility of zooming in at 10x with the touch of the focus ring (never again without!). Continuous AF perfect for recovery during videos with precise and constant focus on the face. It has input for the external microphone (and those who make videos know how fundamental it is). I mean, there's no machine to do everything, but this one's pretty close... not to mention that combining it with a 22mm f2 becomes practically a compact, but even with the 15-45 you have the equivalent of a 24-70 for full frame but the size of a pancake!

Pros: Image quality, compactness, ISO resistance, tilt screen

Cons: Lack of viewfinder, battery life

Opinion: Having practically only Canon lenses, I purchased this mirrorless to lighten the kit without the need to start from scratch with the lenses. Although it is already a few years old it is certainly a good machine, compact, ergonomic and performing, with an image quality that would envy many SLRs. To be an Aps-c it is also quite RESISTANT to ISOs, up to 3200 files can be used without problems, although it depends on the scene framed. It has a good dynamic range and the files are quite workable, although overall it tends to close the blacks a little. The AF is certainly not a splinter, but it is not as slow as everyone says, especially the touch one. Personally I have not encountered any problems in use, but, apparently, it is possible that in moving subjects some problems give it. The sore notes, in my opinion, are the lack of the viewfinder (but you already know at the time of purchase so I would not consider it a real defect) and the battery life. The lack of the viewfinder, in addition to a purely aesthetic fact, also influences the practicality of use of those who, like me, were used to using the REFLEX. The battery life, on the other hand, is really ridiculous, if you want to buy it know that at least 2/3 spare batteries you will always need. Overall, I think it's still a very good mirrorless, with its obvious limitations, but a little too underestimated by the crowd. When used correctly it can really give a lot of satisfaction. I recommend it especially to those who, like me, already have the Canon kit and would like to switch to ML without spending astronomical amounts. Considering the price of used for me it's a real bargain. I do not recommend it to those who have to start from scratch, in that case there is certainly better.

Pros: Compactness, construction, simple and intuitive menu, grip, battery life

Cons: Nothing to report

Opinion: Machine that I intended for landscaping and that I used with its EF-M 18-55 is STM. I appreciated the compactness and intuitiveness of the controls as well as the tilting screen. Excellent "compact" that I have often combined with the REFLEX that I use in naturalistic. A great product with which my son approached the most advanced automatisms of the Canon house. I recently replaced it with an M5 (equipped with a viewfinder) with original Canon adapter ring that I will use in excellent light conditions in coupling with the EF 100-400 is II and with the multiplier 1.4x III when I need to get closer to the subject.

Pros: excellent sensor. great files. battery slightly better than the first m but much worse than any olympus m4/3

Cons: very slow. practically a compact from 15 years ago. very little better than the first m. weight not indifferent. low rear screen of both resolution and color.

Opinion: I write this review in 2020. so the m3 was born, lived and already dead. now you buy on the bay at about 150 euros. I had the first canon m which had poor sensor and was slow. I upgraded to the m3 and found myself with the same slowness but excellent sensor. still in 2020 the sensor for me is respectfully respected. in my opinion it is a machine that makes sense just to make panoramas and little else. I use it paired with 11-22 for panoramas and interiors. and in this area by its results. unusable with anything that moves. much but much slower than any m4/3 since 2012 onwards
