Pros: Excellent value for money

Cons: Lens hood perhaps useless

Opinion: I've been shooting mainly with a 600D for a year and a half. One of my first purchased lenses. I later bought other lenses, but I always come back to this one in the end. A real fun, used above all for photojournalism-street, landscapes with human elements, natural landscapes. Simple, ergonomic and above all comfortable to carry around especially in your trouser pocket.

Pros: weight/portability, sharpness, AF, minimum focusing distance

Cons: ergonomics, controls

Opinion: This is my first review. I use the lens on 80d, and as a non-professional amateur I am fully satisfied. Nevertheless, as an amateur with a few years of practice (not assiduous/daily) who experiments in different areas with a fair amount of optics, I would like to try to list my impressions in a thoughtful way after months of use. He always finds a place to be carried around, even in his pocket, so he lets himself be used and this is a great pro. I don't know if it was a project subject to differences between copies and copies, but mine is really sharp already at 2.8 (a bit of a nerdy obsession of mine of zooming in on photos to look from the pore of the skin to being able to count eyelashes by eyelashes, and with him I can). If on the fly you need to get closer to a subject to make a "macro" on the fly (macro is another thing let's be clear, we are more on the close-up, but always of quality), it allows it. Cons: as many write it is true that it tends to counter-unbalance the body-lens duo (against because it is strange to hold in the hand, and I think that the feedback of the brain used to preparing the hand and the general balance tends to make you tilt the set backwards), as well as it is all in such a small space that you easily touch the focus ring looking for the auto/manual focus command, and the ring itself is too little friction so it seems to me to run away. But, honestly, the real pro is the autofocus: very fast and very precise, at least for the semi-static use I make of it (I haven't tried bursts, but honestly you don't see it as a semi-sports use to chase the movement, even if a couple of bursts in servo to get closer to a butterfly I tried them and it went well, nothing striking as a result but given the price and the components the result in the end far exceeds the expectations), so at a certain point those of before are "just for" cons. I don't pronounce on colors because I don't have enough evaluation experience, but in my own small way I don't find problems, as well as on distortions or aberrations. In short, they are the best 100 euros to spend on an optic to always have with you (those who sell it then regret it...)

Pros: Size, price

Cons: Virtually none

Opinion: STOPPER. Practically a cap that photographs. No, it is not a pinhole with an f/96 aperture. This pancake is a 24mm that on aps-c becomes almost a 40mm. It weighs little, clutters nothing. Today used you take it home for less than 100 euros. It makes a really compact SLR. The quality in terms of sharpness is not the best and finding the blurred is not as easy as the big brother 50 1.8 STM. The shot, however, takes him home but with great discretion. The autofocus is very precise but the STM technology is not the fastest on the market. It is not stabilized. It makes the grip unusual for those who usually put their hand under the lens to stabilize everything. Advised.

Pros: Size, lightness, focus, sharpness, colors and why not quality / price. Mounted, almost does not see you

Cons: Precise but a bit noisy focus. Vignetting at TA but nothing that cannot be remedied in pp.

Opinion: A 24 mm that on APS C Canon becomes 38 I use it with 7D . Great for street but not only. Very sharp especially in the center. Goal with which to really have fun . It goes from the wide angle to close-ups up to 16 cm, fixed focal so you have to move and it's a real fun. I didn't think I liked it so much. Really excellent quality/price. Highly recommend

Pros: The new CAP of the SLR, already sharp at TA, brightness, speed mf,

Cons: Boh maybe the lens is too small and does not give "others" a good impression :)

Opinion: I was very fought in the choice of this "toy" actually the size of the lens and the general dimensions do not give much confidence, it seems the lens of the smartphone camera, but I am reminded of an ancient proverb, that is that in the "small barrel there is the good wine" Well this asphalt toy literally the lens in kit the 18-55 f3.5-5.6 is stm with the same focal length at 24mm .. As soon as I mounted I did some tests already at full aperture the 24 pancakes although it has an imperceptible vignetting and much sharper and more detailed than the 18-55 at f4, the colors are warmer and already from here I said everything. I continued the test up to f8 on both the 18-55 recovers a little at f8 but if you turn the photo well you always notice that the pancake is sharper and more detailed ... in short, I would recommend it, on APS-c will be a salvation in all those situations of low light, outdoors and indoors, it will give you the opportunity to keep the iso at bay and this will make the difference being known the poor tolerance of the APSC, in short, for about € 100 put it in your room and you will not remove it more combined with the 50mm f1.8 are the 2 fixed that I always have with me useless the original hood, rather I put 2 aluminum step-up rings that I had in disuse one of 52/55 and the other 55/58 that will do both as a hood and in addition will protect the lens from accidental falls, wide-angle side ... well if you really miss the 18 (which then on aps-c so wide angle is not) sooner or later take a REAL wide angle a 14mm or better yet a 11-16 Vote 10
