Pros: Fast and responsive / build quality / fun using it

Cons: no tilting screen / for 50mm lenses You have to go to 30mm lenses, and there is not much joice on the market. That�s why i still keep my 5D

Opinion: I love this camera. It is the only camera i bought brand new. It feels so good in Your hands. The build quality is outstanding. I also have a 5D MKII, but i like the 7D more. The 5D feels like a dinosaur in comparison to the 7D. The 7D is so much faster in response. In terms of picture qaulity it is more then i will ever need. I would like to have a HDR function on the camera, since i only shoot in jpgeg. And a tilting screen woud be great. But overall it is a great camera and it is fun to use. In my opinion this is the biggest benefit of the 7D. A camera You don�t like to hold in Your hands, will not be used at all. And the 7D will make You wanna go out and shot every day!

Pros: Now you can get this for under 1000 Sterling and at that price its a steel. Shutter speed at 8fps this is great for Air shows and sport. AF points, 19 for a crop camera that's cool. As a crop the EF-S lens collection is still good and x 1.6.

Robust machine that digests all lenses, from low-end to high/professional. The best comes when you need to shoot sports or wildlife with a high-end lens (L-series or other). Photos that in this case remain well sharp and with details that I honestly don't know how the sensor manages to bring out (I happened to crop up to 1.5Mpx and the detail is still sufficiently present, always remembering that it is a non-flagship camera of 2009). The battery is eternal (I have an original battery from 2012 that still allows me to get to about 700/800 shots easily). Another point in favor is today's cost (I bought it with about 7000 shots with just over 200 euros) this in fact makes it in my opinion a good first camera for those who would like to become an amateur. As a coprpo it has excellent ergonomics, very good viewfinder. He hasn't betrayed me yet, that's it. I must say that more than one person complains about noisy ISOs... Maybe yes, but today with AI you can remove the noise in one click. That said, the file, even if noisy after 1600-3200 (a matter of opinion though...) remains "crispy" and clean. Without many artifacts. What I like is the shutter speed, the buffer, in short, the operation always ready. The "only" 18mp are not a problem, indeed in some ways a PLUS. It doesn't need L lenses to give its best like some FF bodies, where if you don't have the red line in front of you, it doesn't have sharpness and quality. I only took it to have the 1.6x factor of the sensor, which I use on the 70-300 USM II. Together they don't make a fuss. Without having a very expensive kit, both the 7D and the telephoto are perfect together. I don't need any extender, and I get almost to 500mm at F5.6 where the lens itself is stra great at TA!
