Pros: -Low price-Full-frame-wifi-gps

Opinion: The Canon 6D is a very good full-frame for its price. I used it as my first camera and I was very pleased with it. It can be used for videography or photography so it worth to buy it. I used it for portraits and automotive pictures, both of them with 85mm 1.8 USM, 50mm 1.8, 24mm 1.8 and I had nothing to complain about. I highly recomend this product, today I think you can buy it for only $450 so it is a deal.

Pros: Full Frame. Image quality. Intuitive ergonomics and menu. Juicy LP-E6 battery, shared among many prosumer EOS cameras. Smaller and lighter than 5D series. WiFi, GPS. Good high ISO performance. Silent shutter

Cons: AF system not much better than in the old 5D Mark II. Despite many design similarities with EOS 60D/70D/80D, it lacks a vari-angle touch screen. SD card slot - I'd really prefer CF (or two).

Opinion: The 6D in many ways is an improvement to the 5D Mark II - better sensor, better plastic (no rattling doors), faster shooting, WiFi, GPS, better battery life (same battery though) and the smaller size and weight is appreciated by many. The back wheel+joystick/dir-pad combo works nicely. Now I can easily operate with my right hand without taking it off the grip, while holding the lens with my left, because most of the buttons are on the right side. There are some little things, like 1/4000 maximum shutter speed, 1/180 flash sync speed or no dedicated WB button, which make it inferior, but, for me, they are not that important.

Cons: All cameras have strong/weak points. More focus points and an integrated flash would be an option.

Opinion: Great camera. Always trying to make the best out of it. Speed is not to bad. Made fast moving events with the 6D, like air shows, rodeos and speed boats. For certain occasions a build in flash could save the day. It is also a discrete and smaller camera than the big pro bodies where some persons have to show their wealth. New cameras on the horizon. Coming from a 60D the leap in quality has been remarkable, the images have acquired a greater depth, perhaps helped in this by the greater vignetting compared to the shots obtained from the APS-C body, in any case the overall pleasantness has had an absolutely perceptible improvement. I encountered some problems with the exposure meter, not exactly the best precision, but the biggest problems were purely electrical. In one case, during a trip to France, the car left me on foot refusing to turn on, a failure then attributable to the micro switch that detects the closure of the cover relating to the battery compartment, subsequently replaced under warranty. In the situation in question I got away with using the 60D that I had with me as a second body. But even later I encountered a fairly annoying problem, again of an electrical nature, consisting of the rapid and sudden discharge of the batteries. Among other things, always using the battery grip. It happened to me on several occasions that the car, laid down the night before with both batteries fully charged, I found it the next morning with the same completely on the ground, without energy and totally discharged. Thick mystery about the causes, after three service interventions without resolution the camera was replaced, however the problem recurred identically even with the new camera, even changing the battery grip. Incidentally, both the batteries and battery grips were all original Canon. In my humble opinion, the problem was inherent in a trivial discontinuous electrical dispersion, which could occasionally occur without particular evidence, with the result that it quickly led the batteries to complete discharge. Apart from this annoying aspect, however, I still own the 6D and from time to time I use it for a few shots without obligation. However, it is always a pleasure to see the images he produces.

Pros: From new the price

Cons: It makes videos and it is almost impossible to find one that does not have the sensor cooked, then all (including the MK2) have the defect of the upper wheel.

Opinion: If you know someone who sells it and you are sure that he did not use the video department, it could be a bargain (it depends on the price) you will only have to send it to Canon to have the wheel changed, it costs about € 200 but if it does not have the official warranty they will not even change it. It happened to me but I didn't have it repaired so after a year the problem recurs, in the end I sold it off with the wheel blocked. For the moment I use other Canon and in particular a 5d MK1 with more than 20 years behind it and more than 200,000 shots and still all the wheels and the sensor work wonderfully, even the photos for me and for those who look at them are wonderful!
