Undoubtedly.. .. and it was sharper at low iso.. .. this I noticed right away .. I think the filter in front of the sensor is thinner than the 7D.. with this and the 55-250 is 2 I made photos that I remembered sharp only with the CCD ... .. .. it was a body defined by many meaningless being already present the 550d and the 7D .. but in the end it was a marketing bet.. because of its video function and the adjustable display .. it was a mini camera.. used by so many professional photographer friends for years .. which is why I think it was built even lighter.. in fact it was polycarbonate .. although it had tropicalization.. something that the middle ground of today do not have ..

Using it mainly for sports photos I begin to notice now the main limits, including the hold at high iso (especially in the evening and in dimly lit stadiums) and the few points of maf, only 9 (although I use mainly the central one). The pros? File quality, processor, general machine reliability, lightness, mpxs. To think that it is now a few hundred euros used... definitely to prefer this machine to machine bodies recently exited but that can not compete with the 60d. To be absolutely valued to take it used, trust! I will definitely keep it as a second body machine, hoping that after 8 years you will not abandon me. 60d? A guarantee!

But with the experience I learned to overcome them, these limits, both in post and in field use, with techniques and precautions that I did not know then. The 18 MP are more than enough, I do not mold in large sizes and for the crop there is enough area. It's a modest little car, but an amateur like me can give a huge satisfaction. And then to make a good photo the hardware in my opinion is relatively important, especially count the eye, the technique, the patience, the constancy and especially the passion. For me the photos are made with the heart (and sometimes with the ass...), not with the head. For those who want to approach the world of photography without having to spend a capital, I certainly feel to recommend it even today, in 2019, six years after its release from production.
