When they sold it to me, I saw it next to a 6D mk II, and it seemed so small that I thought I couldn't hold it. Never before has the impression been more wrong: it is small really but still the grip is there and the grip is good. The high ISO yield is not great, however up to 800 can be used safely. if you go from 1600 and up it decreases the dynamic range a little bit and you then have to go quite marked of PP. Obviously you have to consider that it is a fairly dated entry level aps-c and you can't ask too much. The weight is also very low, similar to that of an ML. Maf points, however, are few and for dynamic subjects, also due to the limited burst, it does not succeed much. If you use it on vacation or on the go, or for daily use it is ideal.

Opinion: I will never stop thanking Canon for creating this little gem without which, probably, I would never have approached the world of photography. It is a simple, reliable and discreet machine that in such a small body already has everything it takes to learn the various photographic techniques. And just its portability made me choose, I didn't want anything too bulky and heavy and, if that's what you're looking for, little Canon is the entry level par excellence. Among other things it has the indisputable advantage of having a virtually infinite optical park thanks to the EF attack and has always returned to me excellent images with whatever lens I have tried, including those of compatible brands. Great the AF, especially the center point, personally I use only that and I recompose the framing because doing so is always very precise. After 5 years of happy use I decided to switch to the full frame (but I kept it as the second body for the less demanding exits), only because of the poor sensor tightness at high ISO (photographer often after sunset and over ISO 1600 the noise is clearly visible) , but in my opinion it's really the only flaw. One could also mention the non-excellent battery life, but basically just a few euros to buy a spare one or, at the very least, the lack of wi-fi but this i consider marginally important. Very recommended to those who want to spend little and have in their hands a small but "real" reflex in all respects.

Excellent files up to 400 ISO, from 800 ISO up starts to see some correctable noise in P.P.; From 3200 up the noise is a bit excessive for my liking, but you can still make free-hand shots with little light, especially in uniformly lit environments. When I go out just to take pictures, instead, (and I do not want to get the weight of the F.F.), I put it in a small shoulder strap with the 17-40 L USM and the 70-200 L IS USM and the results are still more than satisfactory. Opinion: I bought a new one at the end of production at the price of euro 379 in kit with 18 55 3.5-5.6 Stm as a second body, to be added to FF. Great for easy pancake outings, it's a canon project in my modest opinion very right. Without the need to buy a second kit, I take advantage of EF lenses and the advantages of the small format if necessary. Of course, it has its limits, which have already been widely highlighted but, as I always say, we must always compromise. Highly recommended spare battery.
