Pros: excellent sharpness, excellent correction of distortion, cotruttiva quality, PRICE
Cons: with M / F at infinity, in tail light locks the mirror of the Canon 5D camera
Opinion: I purchased this light, for a few euros, usual market. Luckily I had an adapter ring for Canon EF and I put on my 5D. I just downloaded the first images on the PC, I noticed the excellent features of this light especially to the intermediate diaphragms: Excellent sharpness, picture depth, almost total absence of vignetting and excellent correction of distortion. The lens has a good size (I like it) but sufficiently lightweight, ergonomic and with a ring of M / F fluid and with the right size; reminds me a lot, even for this, the optical Zeiss for C / Y. The major problem I found with the Canon 5D (but I guess with later versions) was the mirror of the camera block when the M / F is set to infinity is intercepted, while shooting, by the tail light. After a quick reasoning, I have solved this problem by moving the M / F on a slightly smaller distance (say 10 m) and, then, removing thelight assembly from the mirror just enough. In this way, using a slightly aperture, I was able to easily get the right depth of field as well, taking the M / F at infinity. The rest of the occasions on which I need a blurry background, are those in which the subject is with a M / F set to short distances. However, I repeat that this is really good perspective that has encouraged me, even more, to orient to the fixed lenses that I have always preferred to zoom right from 70. The comparison with my Canon EF zoom 28-135 (which I judge, however, a good all-rounder), used the same focal length, it is absolutely impossible, and, of course, in favor of the Yashica. |
