Pros: Very low price: at 60 € it is almost impossible to ask for more. "taken used" Featherweight: on the Z6II it looks like a cap, it almost disappears. Total discretion: perfect for street, no one notices you. Honest AF: it's not lightning fast, but for the size it's more than decent. With eye tracking it works well even in low light, which is not a given for such a compact lens. In good light it brings out beautiful colors and contrasts, with a slightly cold rendering that I personally find pleasant. At close range it behaves honestly: nothing exceptional, but consistent with cost and weight. USB-C port for firmware updates. It transforms the Z6II into a near-compact, ideal for always having it with you.

Cons: Side light and backlight suffer a lot: without a lens hood (not expected) flares and halos appear. Marked vignetting, always present. Modest edge sharpness, especially on full frame. Fixed aperture f/4.5: limits creativity and light management. It is not a "universal" lens: it must be understood and used with awareness.

Opinion: It's a lens that needs to be known: if you know when to use it and what to expect, it can give pleasant results, especially in good light. It is not made for technical perfection, but for lightness, discretion and spontaneity. For 60 € it is a fun companion, always ready and perfect for the street. If you're looking for impeccable optical quality, it's not him; If you want extreme portability, then yes, it makes sense.

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Of course for the reason that I bought it, street and lightness, put with the Sony A 7 lll you don't realize you have it and doing street is ideal, I'm happy, of course I speak for my way of photographing, then you know at best there is no limit. Recommended for those who see photography not only technique and perfection but know how to tell stories. The Sony A 7 lll has transformed itself as a compact but quality

Pros: Compactness, footprint and price

Cons: For the cost I have none

Opinion: Purchased to "try it" immediately I found myself satisfied given the low cost, sharp images, autofocus not slow, in total it was a good purchase my x-e3 has become a pocket pocket with excellent results for street and daily use in fact now I always go out with the fuji in my pocket I attach some photos taken in a jet just assembled

Pros: Compactness

Cons: Fixed aperture, poor sharpness, camera problems

Opinion: Bought to "try" it attracted by its compactness, it actually makes my XT-30 pocket-sized but the compromises you have to make to use it are many. I took very similar photos with this lens and with the 35 (also by viltrox) and the comparison was merciless. Added to this is that the camera froze twice in a few minutes with the 28 mounted forcing me to extract the battery and lose all the film simulation presets I had saved. I tried to connect it to the PC to update the firmware and the USB port was obviously damaged since the PC did not recognize the device (but this will be a problem of the specific lens taken second-hand). In short, I'm returning it and will save for the fuji 27mm 2.8 as a pancake.

Pros: Exceptional compactness, apparent robustness (later we will see), built-in lens cap..... and that's it

Cons: Excessive flare. Vignetting not acceptable. Lack of manual focus. Fixed aperture. If it didn't have these limitations, it couldn't be so compact and so cheap.

Opinion: It is certainly an interesting lens, for the price and for the size that transforms a Sony A7 into an almost pocket-sized compact. The sharpness is decent with a bit of decay at the edges. What is not acceptable, however, is the exaggerated vignetting and the inevitable flares in backlight and semi-backlight. Having a single f4.5 aperture, these limits are constant and unchangeable. So a 28mm on FF, suitable for street photography (if you like this focal length) and if you pass over the aforementioned defects. The price partly justifies the limits, but it is good to know what you are buying.
