sent on November 30, 2021 Pros: Pro optics, construction and solidity at the top ! Interesting focal length Cons: With non-performing camera bodies the autofocus struggles a bit but this aspect does not totally depend on the lens. Opinion: Extraordinary Optics in the true sense of the word . Used to shooting with 35 mm and having never had a great time with the 50 I wanted to try and give confidence to this lens, what to say ... amazing result! Indoors it is definitely versatile, it allows you to give more importance to the subject by contextualizing it better, but without isolating it as for example often happens to me with 50mm. Those 5mm less in my opinion make the difference. On camera bodies like my d610 famous for not being a lightning bolt of war with the autofocus in low light it struggles a bit but as mentioned in the cons does not depend on the lens this aspect . Overall promoted with flying colors ! |
sent on November 05, 2021 Pros: Build Quality; Sharpness; Tropicalization; Stabilization; Cons: Nothing; but if I really want to find the hair in the egg – Autofocus a little slow and lack of the ring of the diaphragms. Opinion: Reduced and satisfied from the previous purchase of the excellent Zum 70/200 f/2.8 of the same house, bought as soon as it came out on the market, I wanted to add to my photographic kit, with a little indecision, also this lens. As soon as I opened the convection I immediately realized that it was a voucher. Weight, dimensions and handling are best suited for my D 810 SLR and its build quality is immediately noticed. The desire to try its functional characteristics is irrepressible. So I try to take a few shots. I notice AF a little slow but considering its focal length is normal, excellent sharpness already from the maximum aperture of the aperture, excellent bokeh, soft and pleasant. The stabilization works very well, it can withstand times, for me that I do not have a steady hand even of 1/10-8.Colors and contrast faithful almost close to reality. It is an all-round lens that I highly recommend, I thank the house for the moderate prices. |
sent on August 25, 2021 Pros: Sharpness, construction, stabilization Cons: Blurry, contrast and lacks a certain I do not know that Opinion: I bought it instead of the old Nikon 50mm 1.4 D. What can I say, it is a formidable lens, always sharp, contrasted by the manual. I used it intensively for a few months and as I looked at the photos I realized that he was missing something. I can't say exactly what (I'm not a technician and I don't mean graphs and numbers...) but in my opinion he lacked a soul. Which instead the old 1.4 d had in abundance. In the end we separated, without arguing, and I bought back my old Nikon. Now my photos are a little less sharp but alive! |
sent on June 30, 2021 Pros: Sharpness - Cost - Construction Quality - Tropicalization - Stabilizer Cons: Autofocus Uncertain at Times Opinion: Used for 1 year on a D810, Very High Sharpness already at TA, used for many landscapes and from the center to the edges no loss, really an excellent lens both optically and as a construction quality, you feel it immediately because of its weight, I also used it as a handyman, some aberration but only in backlight, well done tropicalization , the only problem I encountered is that sometimes autofocus lost shots in conditions with little contrast or light, but forgivable for all its "Pros" and for its competitive price. |
sent on July 30, 2020 Pros: Sharpness, solidity Cons: If we really want to find a fault: the ring of diaphragms is missing Opinion: Taken used at a good price, I wanted to try it in the whole figure and half-bust. What to say, at t.a. it's very sharp, impressive. It's certainly better than some emblazoned 50mm. A very solid optics, well built, massive but not too heavy. To keep for life! Now the new tamron line will be a tough bone for the competition. Very good price for such an excellent optic. It's worth having it. |
sent on January 04, 2020 Pros: Price import, tropicalized, stabilized, darn sharp. Cons: It will remain permanently inserted into your machine. Opinion: Tamron with the new G2 line has amazed me in time. I didn't think it could get to the levels of the most ephaled brand. I thought again working almost daily with the magnificent 70-200 G2. Then I tried the 35mm f1,4, which I found superb, prompting me to sell the sigma art. Finally out of sheer curiosity I took this 45mm at the ridiculous import price of 275 euros. Massive lens, well built, light years away from the plastic cinesateofs of previous Tamron (which I had and immediately eliminated). Not very fast, it is a lens dedicated to certainly non-sporting genres, cuts like a razor just closed over the f2 with a creamy bokeh very pleasant. I started playing in the studio, then outdoors and in the end in the last 20 days she was hooked on one of my reflexes giving me excellent results. I think it can give great surprises even in the macros set, maybe in TA, having a minimum focus distance of 0.29. Finally the stabilizer allowed me shots without micromove on times around 1/20 and in support up to 1/8. Remarkable, at least to me that I have no granite hand at all. The only downside, the triggering of the lampshade not exactly accurate. But it's a trifle. In conclusion I found it surprising that this "small" lens can churn out images very, very close to a sigma art 50 (tried on many occasions), which is a brighter thread but not stabilized nor tropicalized or more 'responsive, at a fraction of its price. Give it to her, you won't regret it. |
sent on November 30, 2019 Pros: Image and construction quality, stabilizer, price, autofocus precision, tropicalization, sharpness already at TA. Cons: backlight chromatic aberrations, autofocus speed. Opinion: I was looking for a lens that would complement my kit. I bought this lens after reading a lot of reviews, so I knew what I was up against. I was surprised by two things anyway. Excellent focus accuracy while suffering from some backlight chromatic aberration. Inexplicable given all the positives I have encountered, I say this also because it is the only thing that requires a touch to the mouse during development. For the rest the images are ready to my taste. Paid like a Canon ef 50 1.4 which however is lower in all. The autofocus is not a lightning bolt like the 35 IS Canon which is louder, accurately are even. Always compared to the 35 IS Prefer the color rendering of the 45 SP, it has more character, although the Canon is sharper. Of the 35 and 50 Sigma I say that they are exceptional but do not meet my taste because I find the colors cold. Sharp all-open, nice blurry, need 1/10 shot with stabilizer, but I didn't try it in the videos. Great design and build quality, mounted on his Majesty 5DsR holds the pairing, sure that if you look for the compact 50into fit in the bag better to hijack on the 50 1.8 stm Canon because this is a bit voluminous. For Street it can also be used without a lampshade because the front lens is more than 1 cm internal. In short, a quality handyman that is difficult to give up, also great for exits with a single lens. |
sent on March 04, 2019 Pros: Very high sharpness, neutral colours, objective construction, price, last generation stabilizer Cons: Focus Speed Opinion: Bought used, Sicuramenente not a trendy optics suffers the notoriety of the Sigma 50mm art, optical straoridanaria in my opinion, high sharpness already at 1.8, very neutral and delicate colors, boken to my taste beautiful and honest, stabilizer excellent, the only flaw is the Speed of focus, I had already read several reviews about it in the various American forums, I can confirm that it is not lightning, in difficult situations is just "sleepy" honestly in the reportage I would not recommend, in favor though compared to Sigma is Very accurate and does not suffer from front/back focus. |
sent on January 24, 2019 Pros: Sharpness already at all apertura...stabilizzazione...ne too little heavy... very solid construction... neutral as Colors Cons: For now no one Opinion: I bought it only 2 days ago but I did a lot of photos and I have already made a clear idea.... I feared problems of front/back focus instead nothing... I use it on Nikon D850... The autofocus nn is lightning but little counts... I do not have to make birds in flight... as I have already written is Built in a really solid way and I feel it well balanced on the machine |
sent on January 24, 2019 Pros: Sharpness already at f 1.8, stabilizer, focus distance, tropicalization, cost. Cons: Af to calibrate and a little slower than Canon Opinion: This 45mm really surprises, really great sharpness, a little film worse than the 50 art but really amazing. Already usable at f 1.8 (photographer very wide open) with effective stabilization allowed me to shoot even at a 1/8 without microblur, normally however I do not go down under 1/50 but in extreme cases is very very useful. The focus at least in my case on Canon 6d Mark II I had to calibrate it in the car. Obviously at f 1.8 on the sides depends on the light can err, but problems "common" with objectives with this opening. Also other Canon lenses I had to calibrate, nothing to do with the ART of Sigma anyway. The focus distance of 29cm is great, you can't do macro, but the close ups come just fine! Combined with great sharpness and a focal "human eye" is very useful. The weight is not excessive, beautiful to the sight and focal usable also for reportage. The pluses are undoubtedly the tropicalization and cost, purchased at the same price as the Canon 1.4 but it is definitely superior in everything! |
sent on December 09, 2018 Pros: Sharp to 1.8, stabilization Cons: Maybe the AF is a slow thread Opinion: The focus is precise and the stabilizer helps a lot. The VC guarantees a good use of the lens even at night or in low light conditions. I would say that is the real advantage over other fixed focal lengths not staibilized. The images are very sharp and the color rendition is good. Used on FX and DX, in both cases excellent results. The size and weight of the lens are such as to guarantee handling and lightness to the reflex. |
sent on December 08, 2018 Pros: Sharpness at 1.8, lightness, tropicalization, stabilization. Cons: Nobody Opinion: Sharp already at 1.8, economical for what the lens returns in photos. Not bulky and light enough. Very satisfied with the purchase, has an excellent blur and a good three-dimensionality, incisor, produces very beautiful files that say excellent work, objective also taken care of in the construction. Smaller and lighter than art 50. |
sent on April 11, 2018 Pros: Keeps what it promises Cons: Nothing, until now. Opinion: A month ago I bought a copy shop ' demo ' of this lens at €390.00 (two year warranty). I also have the 35 mm Tamron. Two lenses almost twins, but the ' almost ' is important. Two different focal lengths: 35 moderate wide angle lens, moderate heat; the 45 a ' normal ' in the true sense of the word (it's more or less the focal length of the eye, with the necessary distinctions ...). Why not 45 mm and 50 mm? At the bottom is pretty much the difference between a 24 mm and 28 mm, maybe more appreciable difference in gandangoli. Gives the impression of real reliability, manageability and efficiency: well built, sealed, stabilized with the new generation Tamron VC, balanced weight on a FF (mine is 5 d MkIII), Aperture 1.8, appropriate for the focal length, colors not too saturated, blurred. In short: a most virtuous lens with which forografare many kinds. I would say that you have to try the 45 mm to appreciate, little by little, the usefulness of this focal length. |
