Pros: Construction, optical performance.

Cons: Lack of function button.

Opinion: I would like to start by pointing out that my judgment relates to the optics mounted on the A7RIV. Excellent resolution across the field since f/2.0. It reaches a maximum of 4.0 onwards and then drops by diffraction from 11.0. I put first the defects that consist of a fairly high drop in light and distortion that, however, are perfectly compensated by software as is now the case on almost all modern optics. Let's get to the pros by starting by saying that I haven't seen chromatic aberration and that the uniformity of yield in the field is really excellent. What strikes most, beyond the extreme sharpness, are the quality of the blurry and pleasantness of the same on the different floors. It reminds me a lot of another member of the Sigma DN family, 45 2.8 and while not reaching the same creaminess comes very close to him. Compared to 45mm it also loses that characteristic less sharpness at close distances due to the undercorrect of spherical aberration. Here even at reduced distances the sharpness is excellent and much of the "paste" that characterizes this optics is preserved. Mechanically it's a gem. Entirely made of metal, soft and very precise MAF ring as well as that of diaphragms. Metal cap for me useless but it is included in the package. VERY fast and precise MAF in both AFS and AFC. The price is a gem. Considering I come from Sigma DN 1.2 I can make a comparison. Of course we start from f/2.0 and I can say that as far as I am concerned the performance is overlapping. We obviously lose a diaphragm and a half of maximum brightness but we gain in weight and size and, as mentioned, less than half the price. I mean, I give a 10- and I think it's fully deserved. (the less I put it because, for psychological reasons only, I would have preferred a better non-software correction of light loss and distortion). In the gallery you can find some shots. No posts and 50% of the quality loaded for space reasons.

Pros: Sharpness, construction, bokeh.

Cons: No poetry. A little heavy.

Opinion: Lens absolutely devoid of character or poetry. It's too perfect. Sharpening all over the field already at f2.0, creamy bokeh, excellent backlight hold, no field curvature, excellent microcontrasto and colors, fast and reliable AF, AC under control. Excellent construction: at the first specimen tried no tilt or decentralization, I believe that Sigma can be trusted for the quality of production. Pros: compact-light-solid-sharp-fantastic ring

Cons: I can't find any...

Opinion: great sigma!! exceptional objective.. fun and perfectly the line with the idea of compact and portable mirrorless.. all the quality of sigma with the addition of the lightness that was lacking with their goals.. impeccable construction, quick and precise AF on the eyes, also tested on animals, I think that soon I will also buy the 65mm

Pros: Compact - Excellent Construction - Diaphragm Ring

Cons: It's not very clear at all.

Opinion: Mounted on the A7iii is really fun to use and take out. The blurry is very pleasant, the construction is impeccable and the focus is lightning fast, the focus on the eyes is also excellent. At TA maybe it leaves something in sharpness that still comes out excellently already at 2.8 The diaphragm ring is really comfortable, too bad you can not take the click off.
