Pros: weight, crisp, costs almost a third of the respective Sony, built well, autofocus

Cons: tripod ring

Opinion: I replaced it at the 100-400 Canon that I used with Sigma adapter, it's fabulous, paid around 900 (if we think about how much the Sony costs) already for this reason I consider it a best buy, it is light for the type of lens compared to the Canon was a boulder compared, very sharp and stabilized, I also really appreciate the zoom lock button very useful if you hold on your shoulder or shoulder ,I have to try it a little more to give further opinions but so far it seems great! One thing I really don't understand is why they didn't include the tripod bracket ,this is something that made me turn quite a bit!

Pros: Value for money, resolve, portability, construction quality, af

Cons: No tripod ring, Efficient but less performing stabilization of Sony GM 100-400

Opinion: I'm owning this glass for a month and a half. From the few tests I have made due to Covid, I can still say that this is a respected goal. Unbeatable in value for money and overall compactness. Extremely sharp and solving at all focal points maybe loses just a little bit at maximum extension, but these are excellent enezies the portability and overall weight (just over 1 kg is really little for optics of this type). I recommend this for those who do not want to faint with Sony while having a product in their hands of absolute level.

Pros: Compactness and weight. Good resolve. Great price

Cons: At the maximum excursion that is to 400, even if there is stabilization, and used in my case with the Sony A7R3, freehand the image dances a lot. Lack of tripod ring to buy apart

Opinion: I've been using it for just over a month, I haven't been able to do any big tests, but I'm very happy with the results. Af very fast, hooks the subject, weight and a positive component in use very well. Of course to use it with easel you have to buy the collar apart, found in the net at 45€ Freehand at full excursion, at 400, the optics dance a little.

Pros: Compact, light, sharp (even at the edges!), resolving (up to 42 mpx), price, native for mirrorless system, stabilizer, bokeh, possibility to mount both screw and slab filters (I use Nisi's V6).

Cons: If I really have to find the hair in the egg, there are no adaptable sigma teleconverters and they won't come out soon because of the licensing agreements between sigma and Sony, which are less performing at af speed and not as tropicalized as the Sony GM,

Opinion: In a word: FANTASTIC! PROS: I've been here for a few days and i've already been amazed in various respects, including certainly the discretion to carry it around among people in size and lightness (it's the size of a 1/2 liter bottle of water), very high sharpness already at the ta and all the focal points and also at the edges, effective stabilizer, very pleasant bokeh, zoom lock button (turnbille only from closed to 100mm), customizable physical button (I assigned him crop 1.5 in the room), balanced colors, fast and precise af and very quiet internal motor, resolving up to 42 mpx on my a7R3, very competitive price. CONS: The discouragement compared to the 2 Sony 100-400 and 200-600, only if for purely sporty or bird use with small fast subjects (about 30% of shots not perfecting in focus in fast pursuits compared to 100-400), is not tropicalized as a sigma sport 150-600 to be clear. IF you have an a7r4 it does not solve up to 61 mpx. CONCLUSION: For me this lens was a real surprise, definitely a best buy on my a7R3 and I overdo it. Grade 10, very good Sigma!

Pros: Weight and compactness. Global yield and sharpness.

Cons: Lack of accessories. Partial waterproofing. It does not mount multipliers in version E.

Opinion: I use long focals not very frequently and mainly for landscape photography. Given sony's lack of affordable long-quality focal points, I bought the Sony 100-400 GM at the time. Excellent optics in many respects but wasted in my hands given the infrequent use. When this Sigma came out I was very interested in the weight and the price but I was doubtful about the quality level. Then I had the opportunity to do some tests with the specimen of one of my acquaintances. I was immediately impressed by the optical performance achieved. I speak of sharpness, blurry rendering and pleasantness of the images that are certainly not inferior to what my Sony GM had accustomed me. This Sigma pays a third of the diaphragm as the maximum brightness towards Sony but even this is not detrumining to me. I have therefore proceeded with the trade-in which allowed me to forfeit a few euros, which were immediately invested. The focus is also fast and precise as well as stabilization is very efficient. I'm not able to judge the fire tracking capability that will definitely be better at Sony but for the photos I take it's not a priority. I'm sorry there's no case and tripod bracket that these stingers could have included. I can't say about weather resistance but I notice a rubber seal on the optical plug. In the future I can be more comprehensive in describing optical performance. At the moment they seem to me to be of an absolute level but of course I have to evaluate the behaviour in different areas. After a certain period of use, always not deepened anyway, I can detect that at the longer focal point the resolution remains very high but that what emerges is a certain loss of micro contrast that makes the images appear less vivid than they should.
