Pros: A versatile camera, useful for different photographic uses.

Cons: No one in particular.

Opinion: Don't be shocked, but I replaced a Leica Q with this camera and I'm very, very satisfied. The main reason is that with the Leica, magnificent camera, with an amazing lens, but the problem for me is right there, a fixed 28m, which conditioned me a lot compared to my type of photo, in particular landscape and long exposures. I already own a Nikon Z7ii N with its lenses and the choice of this camera was accordingly. Taken with discount in the cash register with the two lenses a kit, 16-50 and 50-250, I'm using it daily I can say that for autofocus, dynamic range, image quality and high so tightness, the results are very very satisfactory, if we then consider that I can also use all the Z mount lenses also for FF, the circle closes satisfactorily.

Pros: Vintage aesthetics, ergonomics even if without handle, practicality of use rings, high ISO hold, menu, weight, battery life.

Cons: Since they put a small display for the aperture they could have made it backlit for night use; absence of dedicated vintage lenses.

Opinion: Purchased at Christmas, I used it for the first time on a trip to London just ended, despite the temperatures below zero during all the days, the battery has abundantly covered the whole days of use even from diplay without ever going down more than half charge ... what do they say; I state that I have always used it with polarizing filter during the day and with a filter for night photos (removes light pollution and yellow casts) at night, but the yield of jpeg files are practically almost ready to use! The high ISO yield really top, pushed up to 6400 without any problem and in any case never fell below 1600 of darkness! (above ISO 1600 at night if you enlarge the JPEG image to 100%, you notice digital noise... Obviously we can't expect crisp 50x70 prints, but on 20x30 prints remain acceptable results.) Really good ergonomic feeling! Machine body certainly underestimated for the final yield of the files, despite being an apsc has a sensor that gives great satisfaction and excellent yields! I used it with the purchase kit of the Nikkor Z 28mm f / 2.8 SE, despite the absence of stabilizer both in the body and on the lens, not going beyond 1/30sec. It does not feel lack of stabilization even freehand (I have never used the tripod and I have never had problems with shake). I absolutely recommend the purchase for lovers of retro look.

Pros: It's beautiful !!!

Cons: Handle & External Control Iso Automatic

Opinion: Recently arrived to replace the Z50 as a second light body, the beauty and lightness is really disturbing. The first days I hated it for the arrangement of the controls, the difficult grip, the lack of an automatic ISO key not even programmable, the absence of the flash, almost I wanted to give it back, .... but then... The more I used it the more it was really progressively fun, after a while, the keys go to memory, and comes out all the convenience of a manual camera, you photograph without taking your eyes off the viewfinder or the screen. Technically, the management of the photo is definitively repossessed with a digital surplus. The autofocus is improved, compared to the Z50, and it makes itself felt. The super-flipping screen ke pleasure... For the handle, I took a very nice silver smallrig that everyone knows ... comfortable, but that does not give the impression of total solidity, you feel the detachment between grip and camera body, so I decided to try the original Nikon GR-1 handle, it costs triple, it is quite another thing aesthetically, but for the grip the smallrig handle is ultimately more comfortable and functional. On the ZFC the direct charging contact is USB-C (attention also the Z50 was charged with the USBmicro). For optics ... you have tried the 13mm AF Viltrox .... exceptional and the 28mmZ 2.8 beautiful, small and sharp. But all DX Z lenses are amazing.. the 50-250 is really impressive and we are now really far from DSLR optics, I do not feel the need for the FTZ. So I enjoy new fixed optics on a super pleasant and functional body. The quality is not discussed the sensor is splendid, the high iso super seal. 10 laude !!!!!!!!!!!!! Ps... No problem of shake that someone has feared ... a Great Little Camera !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Layout controls, aesthetics, handling, performance, AF, articulated display, construction.

Cons: micro-display of the diaphragms not illuminated and poorly visible if not strongly illuminated, the user manual too *summarized* is almost superfluous if not useless (it must be said that online on the site there is the complete one with lots of hyperlinks but it is not downloadable, the downloadable one is identical to the paper).

Opinion: I come from a DSRL, I start immediately from what I think are shortcomings and then move on to the merits: the display of the diaphragms is not illuminated, it cost so much to put a LED ? in the evening it would have been VERY useful, lighting the keys would have been an additional plus but those in two days I learned by heart where they are and I use them without even looking at them, Nikon has arranged them in a *perfect* position. The screen could have a higher definition. It lacks a secure grip for the right hand: the grip that offers the right grip is available for separate purchase from both Home and third parties. Advantages: one would say *everything else*, beautiful, light (you spend the day without feeling the weight) and manageable, instinctive, buttons arranged in a scientific way (I find them better arranged than on the Z 50), having THREE rings to manage without taking your eye off the viewfinder times, apertures and over/ under exposure is the best, definitely a smart camera, easy to manage and with the addition of an accessory also to hold (I put a SmallRing that costs a lot less than the equivalent of Home), AF and WB amazing, incredible ISO seal, simplified ISO Auto management as on the D90 where you did not need three thousand parameters to set), detail of the photos at the level of the D500 and I do not exaggerate, very good Jpeg (with the correct management of Picture Control), burst in exceptional RAW, flash management (I have a Speedlight) from 5 stars. As I said in the pros and cons it lacks a "real user manual" (that of the D90 looked like a Bible, this is little more than a bigino) but you can easily learn to use it thanks to the perfect layout of the menus and functions. The camera contrary to what you may think is very well customizable (I'm talking about the function keys), it also allows the pre-view of the PDC by affixing the function to a key, which is no small thing since this function had now been relegated by NIKON only to Professional machines and had disappeared from the semi-pro (Note: true that on ML you can instantly see the effect of the adjustments we are going to do, but the control of the PDC mentioned before shows *better* how the photo will come, who makes macros can understand me better). Wi FI, BT and management from the Smartphone without any problem *but be careful that leaving the BT enabled the battery does not last anything*, disabling the two functions (the enabled only when needed) the autonomy is very good to be an ML. The lenses in the Kit are given without hood, with a few euros you buy them separately but it is right to know it to calculate the price of the shopping you are going to do to have a complete product. For me Vote 10 .

Pros: Aesthetics, sensor, high iso dynamic range and hold, autofocus, video quality, nikon menu, awb, usb-c, battery life

Cons: ISO sensitivity adjustable only by top ring, optical park

Opinion: A beautiful mirrorrless very pleasant to use and with many qualities first of all the sensor that in my opinion I consider the best sensor in the apsc field both for gd and for high iso hold, I was also very satisfied with the tracking autofocus, especially the singo point very precise even in low light, burst more than satisfactory for my use, I also found very precise the light meter and white balance, compared to the Fuji XT3 which is the last mirrorrless had in terms of photographic quality and autofocus the Nikon ZFC is giving me much more satisfaction

Pros: Excellent, fun, spectacular grip thanks to its weight and perfectly balanced kit lenses, a blast to take it with you. Lenses z 16 50 mm and 50 250 mm, fantastic.

Cons: Thanks to its easy handling that will no longer make you miss a particular moment to photograph, DO NOT HAVE IT!

Opinion: As a nikon z6 owner, I do not hide that the first impact was to perceive a toy in my hand, but after less than half an hour I realized that it is thanks to its plastic materials that it is special! The grip system is completely different from the nikon Z6, but I did not regret the ergonomics, obviously using the kit lenses that I found well balanced. It is very light and easy to handle, and I really appreciated the two kit lenses 16-50 and 50 - 250 for the photos I was able to take. They are really lens toys, the 50-250 when it extends is also ugly, and does not have a hood, but the photos are really captivating. I'm used to very heavy lenses 24 70 2.8 or 70 200 2.8, but with these ridiculous lenses you really have fun, you can better in the composition thanks to the lightness and manageability, and you compensate for the brightness with very slow times, obviously as long as the subject is static. Needless to make comments on sharpness, bokeh, etc., I took shots and after comparing them with 85 mm S 1.8, I really OVERALL appreciated the result, without having the need to edit them in post. To have fun photographing without losing shots I consider it far superior to full frame with excellent lenses. You have never thought of taking shots with an apsc at 5000 iso and 1/8 of a second, almost oxen, and appreciate the result. Update: I tried the z 50 - 250 mm kit lens for outdoor portraits and I confirm that it is really well studied, even if it has a very closed aperture, the photos are really beautiful, bokeh from 120 mm onwards acceptable thanks to the compression factor of the canvas that makes the background harmonious, in short, I do not regret at all 85 mm nikon z and not even the tamron 70 200 2.8.

Pros: very good image quality, high ISO hold, more than reasonable battery life, lightweight, with 16-50 zoom "almost" compact although not small, 360-degree swivel monitor

Cons: very uncomfortable handle, some saving details (battery door), unlit buttons, ISO-AUTO function not accessible from dial

Opinion: I went to watch it live, and I fell in love with it at first sight. If that's right for you, its old style is delicious, Nikon was good. Good and clever: she could have skimped a little less with the materials, unfortunately the feeling of plasticity in the hand is evident; some details (the door of the card and the battery) are at the limit of the cinesata, too bad. In use all in all it is satisfying; the rear screen (thankfully!) rotates vertically and horizontally, and it's a nice convenience. However, the handle is not comfortable; forget about the ergonomic shapes of modern machines. Too bad for the "AUTO ISO" function that is not on the sensitivity ring, and that to be activated requires an intervention on the menu losing a lot in immediacy. Another negative aspect, the unlit buttons (but does it cost so much to do them?). The viewfinder is clear enough. I took it with the pancake 16-50, whose compactness makes it comfortable even to take with you even in non-working environments. Coming to the most important aspect, the judgment is excellent; the file produced is of a good level, and despite the plasticity the optics are sharp. Up to 2000 asa noise is more than acceptable. Too bad that (even on this) the native JPG is unwatchable, camera manufacturers (everyone!) should go to class from those of smartphones.

Pros: Beautiful, well built, exceptional image quality and high-end mid-range machine features

Cons: Still few dedicated optics available

Opinion: I took this little gem as a camera for street and travel with the idea of using it as a third body. In fact, I own a Z6 and a Z6II, so I preferred to have a third camera that could use the same lenses. Immediately I was impressed by the quality of the camera, the viewfinder, the focus (not unlike that of the Z6 for the tests I have done so far), the high iso yield and responsiveness. The handle is not the top, but similar to the analog sister FM2 from which it inherits the design. Super recommended!

Pros: Aesthetics, functionality, possibility to use vintage lenses of virtually any brand.

Cons: Not perfect to hold, delicate lower door.

Opinion: I received from Saint Lucia (in Brescia it is this Saint who brings gifts) a Nikon Z fc. The aesthetic recalls the F series of the historic analog Nikon. Beautiful. I tried it thoroughly in these holidays. FANTASTIC! Very easy to use in AUTO mode. Excellent basic adjustments. Fast focus, correct auto white balance. 11 FPS make themselves felt when you want to shoot in bursts. Nice also the noise of the shot. I have the kit with 16-50mm lens, aesthetically beautiful, but "plastic". Not very bright, but still very good. But the beauty is that if you mount an adapter for "vintage" lenses, well, it seems to use an analog Nikon of the F series. You feel (see) that it is not an SLR, but the image that appears in the viewfinder is excellent and truthful, even for the colors. I tried it with Nikon and Summicron lenses with manual focus. Great. Comfortable foldable viewer. In conclusion, it deserves a 10!

Pros: Weight, aesthetics, general quality

Cons: Waiting for optics

Opinion: Now I have in my hand an FM and this Z fc : how similar they are, but also different (touch, texture). Of course they are Nikon and this is enough to be the top. Advantage of the Z is that it is digital, advantage of the FM is that it is reflex, the without mirror has a viewfinder precisely from without mirror, ... Poor. Goodbye to a renewed Df then ? Too bad it had the texture to the touch of an FM 2 and was reflex.

Pros: Aesthetics, practicality, files

Cons: lack of optics

Opinion: I can't lay it.... view and desired . What can I say, a spectacle, beautiful to the eye and to the touch, simple and above all made for the manual. I got with the zoom 16-50, I hope I get soon the 50-250 and the 28 but who knows. The first shots with a Z gave me the feeling of being able to challenge the dark and it is so, unfortunately the only optics that I managed to get quickly are the manual TTartisan aps-c chinese but I must admit that they pleasantly impressed me both because aesthetically the silver pair is spectacular given the impeccable build quality and both for the unexpected result. I went back in time of 30/40 years having the feeling of walking around with a Nikon F around my neck and I felt reassured by being able and having to decide how to shoot, but not having to centellinare the frames due to the limitedness of the film. Priceless to have to think about how to set the opening, in short, the pleasure of shooting without optimizing algorithms but increasingly invasive. Certainly the nostalgia effect is strong but then the shot takes over when lightness and responsiveness make everything more pleasant and natural. The AF was the thing that left perplexed in ML but I discovered to be my preconception, because I washed back precision, speed and efficiency even if I love the manual. Nikon has finally hit the mark and I did not feel the lack of an FF sensor indeed, yet I am used to emblazoned and pro bodies but this jewel has given me back the desire to shoot with simplicity by adjusting the optics and not the settings of the machine, which, however, is very simple through the very convenient button "i" that in the eyepiece allows every possible adjustment in fact I recommend keeping the display closed is not needed. Actually the battery door is not up to par but I confess that it is a venial sin also because it must be used very little especially because it is charged via usb great thing; the handle for me is more than fine even if I took the dedicated grip but only to protect the bottom. Some time ago I got caught up in another wonderful object, the Olympus Pen-f spectacular too and that meets the same needs or get suggestive and natural shots, without the weight of bodies and reflex optics and without the fear of becoming too flashy for the bad guys because I love to travel and go where tourists do not go and be seen around with a d5 is not always "hygienic" but then the weight is not it I hold up more. I have always been in love with Nikon and this Fc I have been waiting for a long time, I tried with the Df but it has never fully convinced me despite being fantastic, while this creature makes me crazy !!!! Thanks Nikon, but bring out some more performing and bright optics, maybe F style !!!!

Pros: I liked it immediately (nostalgia) light was what I was looking for to always carry with me, churns out beautiful photos even in Jpeg

Cons: The handle is not the best (I look for the Gr1 Nikon handle) the battery compartment cover (Cheap) and a few Nikon apsc lenses, we hope Nikon makes some nice bright fixed for this machine !!

Opinion: I took it on July 30 among the first arrived in Rome, I wanted it with the 28 (40 on apsc) but they told me that it arrived maybe in October and I took the one with the zoom 16/50 vr, a zoom 16/50 (24/75) a little plastic, but I must say that I recreated myself even if at a brightness '3.5 / 6.3 makes great photos and beautiful colors, I also tried it with the FTZ adapter both with Nikon lenses and with the mammoth Sigma 150/ 600 c zoom and I never had problems of any kind. The Zfc with its lightness made me resume the desire to always carry it with me, if you are interested in seeing my latest photos on my page are taken with the Zfc (I will put 'others in the coming days) which in my opinion is worth more' than many technical analysis, comparisons and disquisitions, what matters is that it makes beautiful photographs holds up well the noise and provides beautiful colors (for me). I'm not an expert in video I only did some shooting to my nephew in 4k / 30fps ) and you see it on TV, with a 4k Oled and they seem to me more than good in fullHD to even a nice slowed down sequence. The final grade for me deserves a nice 9 for a great quality / price ratio if you also take with Nital promotions.

Pros: Vintage image, photo quality, versatility

Cons: Right hand ergonomics

Opinion: I bought it for the most typical of lightning strikes, after reading the review on DPReview and wanting to replace my Fuji XT2. I will use the comparison with the latter to analyze the Z fc. The main source of dissatisfaction with Fuji - which builds wonderfully beautiful objects with the quality of haute horlogerie - is its commercial policy, so my XT2 purchased in December 2018 is already out of the market at the beginning of 2021, replaced by XT3 and XT4 and flanked by I do not know how many models of which a normal user would not be able to distinguish the differences. I think this is simply unacceptable. From an exquisitely technical point of view, where the Z fc surpasses the XT2 is the exposure meter reading, which with Nikon's D-Lightning allows you to wonderfully manage high lights and shadows and where on XT2 it is practically impossible to take clean photos in classic city excursions between deep shadows and very strong lights. Nevertheless, despite the lower resolution sensor, the Z fc produces much sharper photos than the XT2, albeit using basic optics and I invite you to compare some examples among my photos. The Z fc allows you to do everything that an enthusiast wants to experience, including videos, which have full functions and good quality, considering the fact that even the battery allows you to do a whole day around, where with XT2 you needed at least two. The truly vintage aesthetic has the contraindication that the ergonomics of the right hand is actually sacrificed and even a not big hand unintentionally crushes the front button and rotates the rear bezel. I bought, however, the additional Smallrig handle that transformed it and now it is even comfortable! Summary: with just over 1500 euros I bought an aps-c and two zooms (16-50 and 50-250) to always carry with me, so beautiful that everyone looks at it, which takes very full and clean photos and has the plus of video functions.

Pros: Aesthetics, Functions, Dynamic Range, High ISO, Resolution, Burst.

Cons: 1 Fn key, grip, lack of native Z mount lenses for Nikon APS-C.

Opinion: I have been using it for about 1 month in combination with the Kit 16/50mm lens, it is really a pleasure to carry it with you as light and compact as it is. The menu is the classic Nikon: simple, complete and intuitive. The screen is touch like the latest generation cameras. Remarkable the burst that reaches 11 FPS, I tried it in AF-C with the FTZ and 70-200mm VRII G, despite the unbalanced proportions due to the weight, with the tracking of the subject hooks very well. The screen is adjustable to use it also for vlogging shooting. The Z fc has full-time "Eye Autofocus" mode when shooting video. When taking photos, it also includes focus modes that combine face and eye AF with a wide focus area, allowing you to have more control over where the camera looks for a subject. It does not have the Joystick. Out of tune note: lack of native lenses with z mount attachment for aps-c of the parent company, or at least those that are there do not enthusiastic at all. With the addition of the FTZ adapter it loses a bit of sense, going to increase the size and ruining the aesthetics a little, but if you have a kit with F Mount attack it is necessary not to change the kit. Perhaps the only lens is the 28mm f/2.8 which on aps-c corresponds to a 42mm. In my opinion, a successful and aesthetically perfect room that will make inroads to the most nostalgic, reminiscent of the FM2. Jpeg colors are pleasant, with the golden yellows, warm greens, and vibrant reds you've come to expect from Nikon. Like the Z50 (and Sony), it doesn't have an anti-aliasing filter, so detail capture is high, but at the expense of color aliasing and moiré. JPEG sharpness is quite aggressive, with wide-range sharpness causing more halos around the edges (also known as overshoot) than competitors like Fujifilm and Sony. Noise reduction is quite effective but not at Sony's levels. One last thing worth noting is the camera's white balance system. There are three auto white balance settings: "general", "keep white", and "warm". On the "general" white balance I found that the photos have a blue dominant, doing some tests I moved it to "warm" and the appearance is more realistic. That said, the chamber is promoted with flying colors, calculating that in the future it will surely hold the market, like the DF. Dear Nikon give us some noteworthy optics with more open apertures for aps-c with Z mount.

Pros: Successful camera in all aspects related to the category. Monitor adjustable in all directions. Burst 11 fps.

Cons: Display for diaphragms not backlit. Handling limited by the absence of a "standard" grip. Battery flap at the height of a Chinese toy. Absence of a remote shooting port.

Opinion: Being able to already use a Z50 at work, I can unbalance myself on the really good qualities of this camera, even if I have it in my hands for a short time. If Nikon wanted to propose a delicious, elegant, functional, light and performing object, which made everyone say: "How beautiful, I want it!" and that would pave the way for the Z world to amateur photography enthusiasts and vloggers, well, lens hit in the center. Compared to its sister it also has something more in terms of focus options for both eye recognition and focus stacking mode, which makes pairing with the MC50mm a really appealing option. Too bad the absence in the catalog of a Z lens like the old 16-80mm DX, which would make it the non-plus-ultra for travel and street. The only real flaws are the window that indicates the chosen diaphragm, small and not backlit (they could also do it OLED) and the absence of a foothold for the right hand, which is offered as an option (but Smallrig makes a nice one, which costs a third and is a compatible Arca-Swiss attachment). I really wonder how much more it would have cost a noble plastic door, if not metal, made in a slightly more elegant way, at least like the quality perceived for the rest of the body-machine. Finally, it lacks a port to connect a wired remote shot, and it is fine that you can control it from a smartphone, but the first accessory I had to buy is the ML-L6 remote control, fifty eurosthanks. Highly recommended for those who approach photography with passion and to all owners, like me, of fm2. For the category it occupies, however, I vote 10.

Pros: All controls in front of the eyes with real rings, aperture display in use, light with good grip, 16-50 silver zoom in the nital base kit, excellent battery life. Round eyepiece in pro style. Complete but simple menu. Light meter calibrated on slight underexposure, but it can be adjusted. It works with Megadap.

Cons: lack of flash (the Z50 has it); very fragile battery door; a single Fn button; in the dark it has no illuminated controls; some problems with FTZ for soft update problems.

Opinion: In mountain outings I used for three years an Oly with 4 optics only for the very low weight. Undecided for a long time on the Z50, the first Aps-C version of Nikon in ml, I did well to wait for this version practically the same but with a nice aesthetic and some improvements in electronics, it supports focus-staking even if it loses the flash. I took the "hundred photos" of tests that I do with all the new cameras, almost all outdoors, a few indoors with tungsten light, various iso, various optics. The 14-30 becomes a super lens, from 21 mm to 45, the versatility is impressive. With the 16-50 instead I carried out the iso and focus tests. What can I say. The sensor seems different from that of the D500, at high iso (12800) has a "grain" less dry and more invasive but the detail is at the level, I think they are two settings of different soft, there are 5 years of progress between the two !! The menu reminds me of that of the D200, fast, intuitive, with a dozen more things invented in the meantime, but with the "i" button everything is very fast and above all clear. The various buttons behind are similar to those of the Z6 and D500 as an arrangement, so they are on the fly for those who are used to it. Compared to the Fx there are all the differences in the format, but compared to the D500 I find it more difficult to distinguish even 100%. Burst, I would say excellent, with the silent shutter there is much less "trembling" of the Vr compared to the Z6, but it could also mean that the Vr of the zoom in Kit is less efficient than that of the sensor with 50/1.8 S. Which is not a great defect, I reserve the right to try it with focal lengths over 200mm. Tested with Megadap and Canon 135/3.5 mount. Slow but precise autofocus, the lens is 50 years old, the edges are far behind what I am (viciously) used to. But it works. Then the battery. Arrived unloaded. Loaded 15 minutes. It's two days that we fiddle in addition to the hundred photos, I promise to upload it well tonight. Finally, the Vr side, already accustomed to the 10-20 without the physical button on the lens, seems that there is not, but then shoots at 1/8 and is not moved. Works. Compared to the D500 I think there is some addition in the soft electronics, because even if the sensor is not IBIS it seems to me that some electronic VR effect there is with the 14-30 that is not VR. I have to do two tests behind some birds with 300mm and then I will confirm or deny the feeling. I deny what was previously written. In the videos there is an electronic vr with 14-30 but with photos, nothing at all. So I wait for the 105MC that the Vr has.

Pros: Style, compact, price , definition high Iso, weight, full menu, with level optics makes more, but it is obvious. It seems very versatile to me.

Cons: for now none

Opinion: I bought it for a couple of days, too few to express a reliable and complete opinion: the first impressions are excellent, as already reported above. The weight lifts me from immense efforts and torches, (I come from D810, with 24-70, 70-200 etc.) although the two tools are intended for different purposes, in any case when I decide to photograph street she will be the natural protagonist; but also in the light outputs, taking into account that the Ftz allows the use of a large optical park, think I tried it with a exceeded right 18-70, well the result is not at all contemptible. In a few days I will post some examples, for now trust the chatter. Good light!
