sent on February 18, 2015 Pros: Price, size, weight, stabilizer Cons: Yield, brightness, build quality Opinion: The only statement "worth how much it costs" would suffice; is the first kit lens for the Nikon ASP-C, vignette at 18mm, has AC side evident in Ta on the 24mpx, shadows closed and enters in the difraction already at 7.1, is practically a lens that has made it almost uniform and interesting on all focal escrusione only with diaphragm 5.6; Poor build quality, good Af and excellent stabilizer; It is a lens that fits us in the right kit to start shooting or keeping as jolly even if by yield it is not a lens that makes much sense on current sensors, while on low-dense sensors up to Max 12MPX behaves in a dignified way. |
sent on March 27, 2014 Pros: Lightweight, compact, af ok, price Cons: still not found Opinion: It 's my current lens handyman who was included in the kit d3100, and I must say that until now I've never been disappointed, of course I speak in relation to the price, but I was satisfied in many occasions especially in low-light photos. The noise and aberrations are fairly small, and even distortions are almost absent. The colors are fine, and f is always pronto. In future on the D7100 test it but I think I will have some nasty surprise ... In conclusion I think that this lens is a good all-rounder and a great way to start taking pictures with the entry level SLR Nikon. |
user36759 ![]() ![]() | sent on January 24, 2014 Pros: Compact, lightweight, accurate AF and decided, quiet, minimum focusing 28cm effective and useful, good resistance to flare MOOLTO Cons: vignetting at 55mm disappears completely at f11 (we note only photographing with sky blue and clear), lens hood is not included (and expensive, 20 euro!) Opinion: Was the lens in a kit with the Nikon D60. The alternated at some fixed or telephoto zoom, but it is really versatile and you can not need much else to tempo.rnNon has real flaws, but the features and compromises of a zoom economico.rnNon is the lens of dreams but really makes a bit 'of everything. rnMi amazed when I hear that its flaws are the bayonet and plastic that is dim, but what you want from a kit lens in its class ???? RNLA minimum distance focusing dear to me, is useful and usabilissima.rnCon the D60 I used the f light conditions really scarce, nearby in the dark, but focused indecisioni.rnNon not know how to go on most modern machines that have cmos with many megapixels, but on who had the d60 ccd da10mpxl went to grande.rnrnL'unico real drawback is the lens hood is not included, and it is also expensive, 20 euro! A lens hood Universal does the same job at less than half the price. |
sent on January 11, 2014 Pros: Lightweight, compact, inexpensive, high definition, VR, robust. Cons: nothing Opinion: I use it for 5 years, indestructible, gives very nice pictures, they say that it is not bright? raise the ISO in the car, use the VR and handheld shooting in the dark without micromosso.rnBaionetta plastic? The "plastic" as it is commonly called, can be more resistant metal, in certain automatic machines gears are alternating metal and "plastic" just for reducing wear in the rubbing reciproco.rnNon see signs of wear after 5 years of use, I complain? rnAF slow? with 18-55 there you can do photo hunting and even sports photos, for me, the AF speed is suitable for the use of optics. rnLo recommend to everyone, very perspective for me valida.rnSe you want to view for performing laboratory tests do not buy it, if you want to take good pictures without break your neck and the current account without dissanguarvi buy it with your eyes chiusi.rn |
sent on July 10, 2013 Pros: size, weight, stabilizer, cost Cons: brightness, ring for manual focus very uncomfortable and inaccurate, auto-focus a bit slow Opinion: This is my first goal, and although we speak bad for the price that goes with a little patience and luck you can pull off real big pictures! With this lens can give us a little bit of everything with the appropriate limits: in the portraits he feels the lack of brightness and quality of the blur does not excel in the macro flowers insects and the manual focus is still uncomfortable and a bit inaccurate. However, this is a goal-rounder that's cheap and for what it's worth I think it's perfect to get started and to understand what our photographic style. With this objective we can figure out if we need more brightness, more hiking or whatever. I have approached photography not long ago and I realized that there is no real objective handyman but I have to say that this "toy" is defended well in many settings and the image quality is good. |
sent on April 26, 2013 Pros: Cost of optics, VR, compact, lightweight, automatic dedicated right. Focus will slow it fast but very quiet and precise, aesthetic. Cons: The front ring rotates with the fire so it is not possible to mount polarized filters except a few. The ring of focus and light and small. Bayonet plastic but you can easily replace with the metal with about 40 euro. The hood must be the original one else can manifest shadows to the minimum opening zoom. Opinion: Driven by a need for wide-angle perspective and not wanting to spend digits or traded my 50 1.8 with the 18-55 VR. At first glance un'azzardo because I certainly lost in brightness and compactness (and by the way 50 1.8 is a view that a photographer must have, the better if you can afford the 1 .4). But I bought it the most versatile and for the use that I do (almost beginner ...) I find that this view, if combined with a camera type d7000 buy a new life. The limits of the objective which originated as optics Kit for D3000 rise considerably by increasing the versatility of high ISO d7000. Tested in a d80 manifest weaknesses with the d7000 disappear. I think that all the optics should be evaluated according to the body and never as in this case it's true. In addition, the engine is quiet, it is not lightning in focus but it is not painful. Definitely always accurate. The weight is very light and this allows to keep it always attaccato the machine even if the bayonet in plastic is not very secure. For this bay is that metal is about 40 euro. As if to say that if someone has in mind to keep it forever can evaluate to improve the structural characteristics. Findings therefore very positive and higher than my more 'expectations. |
sent on April 12, 2013 Pros: economic, versatile in many occasions, light Cons: dim, bayonet plastic, lack of seal bayonet AF system a bit slow and noisy Opinion: of the 18-55 vr nikon is one of the otiche less valuable house that nikon produced since 2007, in spite of this, this perspective is valuable. given the size and weight, a place in the bag and can be easily found, define a whole do not tell me imbalance but certainly for indoor photos or pictures of subjects not too far away or even better where you want to photograph landscapes for the entire scene, well this view is defended well ... if you want to spend little but have the reliability of nikon, optics, and this certainly fulfill purchase a good or an excellent starting point |
sent on March 03, 2013 Pros: Great quality - price ratio, rather than good sharpness shooting conditions not extreme, lens for lightweight travel optimal focal length for shooting standart. Cons: Considering the price of what you should want more! Opinion: It 'was my first lens as a kit purchased with the d40x (actually I am referring to non-vr) - I've always appreciated the good sharpness on the monitor and prints up to 50x70. Lately I've done a comparison, maybe not ideal - but I tested the focal length of 20mm quest 'goal with the sigma 10-20 f4-5, 6 .... I was expecting a supremacy latter '! instead the result was in situations of 'internal' s exact opposite! I noted, however, outside the supremacy of the Sigma .... do not quite understand the difference in behavior of the Sigma indoor and outdoor ..... Last recent comparison with the noble nikon 50mm f1.8 (the focal length of f8), here I was expecting a marked difference ... I zoomed in to 100% raw unmodified (shooting with a tripod ...) the result? ? I relate better 'cause can not be what I saw ........ |
sent on August 05, 2012 Pros: compactness, cost, VR, Cons: in manual control difficult, filters revolve zooming, little light, blurred difficult to obtain, lack of lens hood and in any case not bayonet. (There is a little stretch rubber hood that screw on the ring and filter are particularly comfortable for goals so) Opinion: As with many for me was the first goal. The money it costs them deserves all, is not evil or useless, but I preferred to change it as soon as possible with an older 18-70. How bright is a bit 'better (70 mean), but we are roughly in the same range. The 18-55 practically do not use it, if not at some time in the evening because of VR. I must say that those extra 15mm make me comfortable and even brighter and larger rings of 18-70. As a first goal, 55, is very suitable, but since the cost is comparable, I'd recommend the 18-70. You lose the VR but there is a little 'more for focal margin to the portrait, you gain a little' luminostà and then blurred. Then it seems to me that the photos are sharper with the 18-70 but I did not test objectives. The 18-55 is a lens that will always leave the desire for something more more zoom, more openness, af faster, etc. etc. BUT, looking at the photos taken with this lens, you might say: first start taking that are excellent photos with the 18-55, then think about how to expand the equipment. Ps: 18-70 does not have the built-in autofocus motor, so it is suitable for entry level SLR. |
sent on August 05, 2012 Pros: Compactness, light weight, cost, VR Cons: Excursion, materials, lighting, focus ring Opinion: It 'was the first lens of my first DSRL. I've always found very precise as AF and sharp results. When no light is a great goal, and when there is a little 'less light the VR behaves quite well. Having now more performative goals (and cost multiple) I can say that the AF is a bit 'slow and the little light limits the ability to play with the depth of field. The diameter 52 allows you to use filters "less" expensive and bulky 77mm required by the optical pro. But the real limitation that I find this point of view is the manual focus, the ring is really too small and does not allow easy manual adjustment. |
sent on October 10, 2011 Pros: Compact, lightweight, inexpensive, good resolution, optical handyman ... Cons: Attack plastic, not af fast, image stabilization improved, dim ... Opinion: This ugly duckling, despite what they say of "plague and horns" I must say that defends very well. After putting in a drawer compact and needing vision camera for photos of every day, I decided to buy myself the D 5100 for its compactness and lightness. The supplied lens was in fact the 18-55 VR. Already from the first moment I saw him writhed his nose as it is. Well, the first time I used I had to change his mind, after making a picture-postcard village of Chianti. The quite good, I'd say good resolution left me speechless. Back home I did a test with a perspective more expensive after placing the camera on a tripod. The result, listen, listen was almost perfect equality, and I say almost because my modest goal, in some cases gave me the impression of being in a bit more impact. That was lucky? After reading various reviews in a negative way in my little one, I have yet to understand ... |
