user63757 ![]() ![]() | sent on July 05, 2022 Pros: Compact, excellent construction, excellent electronic viewfinder Cons: Swivel screen Opinion: Or sought and thought for years a lighter and more compact X-T alternative for reason riding in Mountainbike and with this X-E4 I own what I was looking for compactness. I do not feel the lack of additional keys I find everything that or need thanks to a menu a few keys but thought out in an excellent way I even find some functions on the menu better keys than on my X-T4. Construction looks great smooth and clean partly made of metal magnesium alloy. Cons: let's say I would have liked a swivel screen to close the back also as a scratch or bump screen protector. Note: Perhaps my personal opinion Fujifilm to many lenses available naturally on the X-E4 you can put different Fuji zoom and fixed lenses but I see well compact lenses on this X-E4 camera body as regards small fixed lenses I would say wide choice but for compact zooms I would see very well the 18-55 Fuji that in my opinion would be updated with a very small zoom version 18-50 f4.0 with modern AF and diaphragm ring marked and latest generation stabilizer and excellent mechanics at Fujifilm. |
sent on June 03, 2022 Pros: Compact, excellent for frequent use, adjustable LCD for me perfect, viewfinder presence Cons: Read below Opinion: I state that I am an amateur photographer and not a professional and I bought this camera for a not too specialized use and to have small dimensions. I noticed a really interesting shadow recovery, it has a few customizable keys but once you understand your photographic interests I think they are enough Now the sore point, frankly I do not understand how in 2021 a camera of such performance does not have the possibility to make bkt depth of field. One of my Reflex of a brand very mistreated already 6 years ago had this function and also that of shutter speeds. I find this lack unacceptable, especially since I tried to remove the lens from the camera body turn the aperture ring and no aperture opens or closes So it means that the movement of the diaphragm is controlled electronically so this function could be safely put even using lenses with the diaphragm ring I speak at least of the 27 sold in Kit (if I am wrong someone will correct me') Apart from this recommended camera A greeting |
sent on April 06, 2022 Pros: Build quality, photographic quality and extreme compactness. Cons: Nobody, if you choose it for what it offers. Opinion: Personally I could consider it the perfect machine because it fully meets my needs, namely compactness, extreme portability and essentiality, together with the great photographic quality. I'm using it with fixed lenses like the 23 and 35 f/2, in addition to the small 27 f/2.8 that is sewn on it, and also with the small and light 15-45 zoom. Many complain about the poor ergonomics but I find it comfortable and the handling without problems. Probably with more voluminous objectives from that point of view some problem could be had, but I think nothing catastrophic. Of course, maybe the second rear dial would have been convenient, but by setting the available buttons well, together with the front dial that can be set to 3 functions, you still find the way to operate at best. The battery does not last very long, but even this thing is overcome with a couple of spare batteries .... Fujifilm offers several alternatives for those who complain about the lack of this or that, and if you choose this car to take it with you and photograph, there is no lack of ibis that holds........... |
sent on January 06, 2022 Pros: - Quality of the files, - Operating speed - Extreme customization - Minimal aesthetics Cons: - Lack of Flash - No Grip - Usually Senseless Fuji Menu Opinion: Bought practically at Day One this Xe4 has stragato me. I was undecided whether to buy this or the sister x100v, but I decided for this xe4 for the possibility of using pentax and m42 optics. The Fuji looks spectacular, with a minimal and square design, slightly different from the other XE. The dimensions are from the pocket, well not really, maybe from the pocket of the jacket that is. I took it paired with the 27 mm MK2, although it is not my favorite focal length. In fact I feel very comfortable with my long-standing 18 mm. But I can safely explore the portraiture and photographs to my two dogs that the autofocus almost never misses a beat. You can also save personalized film simulations, including white balance in its particular R and B. |
sent on October 12, 2021 Pros: Small, handy and suitable for street photography but not only. Cons: Little grip Opinion: I have been using it for about a month and I am very satisfied for various reasons. You can take street photos without using the EVF but the small flipping of the screen. Speaking of EVF I find it adequate to the class of the camera and does not suffer from delays. You can customize many functions even those that are physically missing and here I refer to the classic front selector AF-S, AF-C and M. I use it mainly with the new 18mm f/1.4 always in AF-C and this coupling is very fast even in low light. Note of merit are the film simulations of the X-Trans IV sensor that I am using but that I already knew having the X-T3 and in the past the X-T1. Promoted with flying colors. I added a con but in my opinion it is of little importance using small and not very heavy optics. |
sent on September 02, 2021 Pros: Size, spotless aesthetics, resolute LCD and flip, real tracking, Classic Negative simulation, charge during use, HDR raw, burst, reduced sensor readout Cons: Lack af-s/c/mf selector, Fuji eye AF, buffer only 18 shots, tuna can ergonomics (but at least it's nice) Opinion: After years, Fujifilm's most beautiful series is finally back. Sensor and AF are the usual of X-T3, X-T4, X-PRO 3, so good but not very intelligent in Eye AF, fortunately I never use it, good real tracking with the point that sticks to the subject and follows it reliably. The sensor is also the well-known BSI that in electronics has a fast readout and therefore can be used the electronic practically always, even for sports, as the deformations are not appreciable. The ergonomics are the worst of all Fuji, it has lost keys, rings and handle, it is perfectly smooth, but this one from an incredible cleaning that will make you love it and you would forgive anything, except the loss of the AF selector, that is from the gallows. They implemented HDR RAW, very useful, and the new film simulations, Classic Negative especially is a porn stuff, really... I can't stop using it. For the rest it is really an excellent machine, with a small, light and sharp optics you will always carry it with you, I gave the task to the 35 F2 that on this car is a sniper. I must say that the battery between lack of Ibis and other devils lasts the right even in boost (for me always active). As usual we thank Fuji for the Q menu, the customizable keys and the complete customization of everything, even the AF points. |
sent on March 12, 2021 Pros: size, weight, keys Cons: size, viewfinder, maybe build quality Opinion: I've had this little thing for a week, and I'm a little confused. You'll tell me, well you see you put the size in both the pros and cons. That is one of the reasons for my confusion. If on the one hand it is an extremely portable machine, without objective of any kind it is little larger than a Ricoh GR III, on the other hand as soon as you add a lens begins, for my hands at least, to make the grip difficult. I'm talking about targetss like the xf16 f/2.8 or the 35 f/1.4 voigtlander with adapter. You'll tell me, but there's also the set with the extra handle. Very true, but if one buys a small car it is also because he wants portable dimensions, if I have to add accessories then I take other models. The other against is the viewfinder, in my opinion not much. They could have done better by already having the great viewfinder on the x100v. The build quality I found it "cheap", nothing to do with the X100V, x-pro (even the two to say) or the xt3-4... But for EUR 900 I certainly do not expect this construction, which is done, among other things, in Indonesia and not in Japan. I am not saying that EUR 900 is a few, but compared to machines that cost twice as much as the x-pro3, it is clear that the construction quality is lower. The rest, the one inside, all the electronics and software is the same more or less the same as the latest born in fuji house, so great file quality. Do I recommend it? I don't know. Maybe just paired with 27mm... then with 1100 euros you have a good solution of weight and size... a great introduction to the fuji world and decent portability. Otherwise if it is to enter the fuji world, without thinking about the size, I recommend the xt3 (which today can be found on offer at little more than the price of the xe4), at the same size maybe the xt30... If it is a complement, I do not recommend it, because you take off a couple of touches, the others without L and thumb rest you can not bring them and the machine still becomes bulky Finally if one already owns the xe-3, if you hold it tight. PS needless to say that back to the store my |
sent on March 11, 2021 Pros: Everything: size, handling, speed, resolution. Cons: Nothing, let me think of it. The transport belt slots are a bit miserable, but it's nonsense. Opinion: This is a somely hybrid review, as it talks about the X-E4, the X-T4, and two 27mm Fujis. Pancakes. The first model and the newcomer R WR, called Mark II. Despite having an X-T4 with a large set of Fuji targetss, with a splash of Meike, Samyang and Viltrox, I couldn't resist the appeal of the X-E4 + XF 27mm bundle. 1:2.8 R WR. In fact, if the 27 Mk. II is offered (not yet available)for about 470 Euros and the bundle I bought it on Amazon for 1,100 Euros, or the X-E4 was offered for just over 600 Euros or the 27 was for less than 200 Euros. All delivered in less than 24 hours, I had the bundle last night and today I took about 100 photos with the X-T4 mounted the 27 Mark I and the X-E4 with the Mark II mounted. Well.. the optical yield is absolutely comparable, perhaps with a slight prevalence of the Mark II in focus speed and the great convenience of selecting the diaphragm on the lens itself. But as a handling, ergonomics (albeit in much smaller dimensions) speed of implementation, the X-E4 won big. Exceptional, for this little David of APS-C. I cannot show today's pictures because they are all taken in hospitals. Today, Friday 12/03/21 I posted some photos taken this morning at the market under the house with the X-E4 and the 27mm. Pancake Mark II. They are trivial photos and the lighting was bad. But they give an idea of the definition and tightness of the backlight. |
