sent on October 22, 2021 Pros: stabilization, good image quality Cons: low light, af in critical light conditions, footprint at maximum focal length Opinion: Surely it is the ideal travel companion for the 18-55mm, with which it constitutes a valid and close-knit couple. The sharpness is good and appreciable, even if it decays to the maximum focal length if the subjects are very distant. The autofocus is responsive but in low light it flounders. The low light is low and is a limiting factor if not during the day, or in conditions where the light is abundant. Excellent stabilization. Good construction. The dimensions are not excessive but become important when the zoom extends to the maximum focal length, especially with the hood mounted. The numbering on the ring of the diaphragms is missing: nothing tragic but it is a small neglect that could have been avoided. Summing up, a lens that for a generic use (travel) and not specialized (portrait, sports, photographic hunting) is more than fine and, despite some flaws, it turns out to be a zoom with an excellent quality-price ratio. |
sent on November 26, 2020 Pros: Great lens for sharpness, weight and footprint if he had also had the barrel lock would have been perfect Cons: The thing I didn't like is the fact that I didn't insert a lens block that allows you not to let the barrel out when you hold it over the shoulder , it's annoying to see it go out all the time and dust itself unnecessarily. Opinion: Excellent lens for sharpness, weight and footprint. It has nothing to envy to targets of more famous and much more expensive brands. I took him to the mountains several times bringing home some great photos without breaking my back. The thing I find very annoying though is the barrel that comes out as soon as you put the lens in the right. |
sent on October 11, 2020 Pros: Construction quality, clutter and weights, stabilized Cons: Endless diaphragms, barrel that extends when walking Opinion: I have had the optics for more than a year and I have pulled it for mountain trails, I must say that in fuji the zoom canvases are not many, if you choose this lens is because you want to stay "in the middle" as quality between 50-230 and 50-140. At least, I made this reasoning, having to take it through the mountains in my treks, the 50-140 turned out to be too heavy and cumbersome, and I did not trust the XC series for the 50-230, so I opted for this lens. I have to say that I am satisfied, it is clear Q.B., it has a focal excursion that goes very well for landscapes, the brightness is not record, but the stabilization compensates for the more closed diaphragm. The bokeh is not bad, obviously less marked than an ultra-bright fixed optics. In short, maybe not suitable for portraits but more devoted to landscape and generalist photography. The diaphragms' diaphragms are the best clutched Fuji optics I own, but it's endless, diaphragms on the barrel are not indicated, and I don't like it very much. The zoom dial is hard enough, but the barrel comes out if we carry the car hanging around our necks and walk. There's no focal block. Rating 8.5 |
user148470 ![]() ![]() | sent on September 11, 2020 Pros: focal range, sharpness, blurred to 200mm Cons: No WR and lampshade Opinion: Good goal, well built and with a blurry 200mm that I still miss (despite then taking the 50140). If together with the xf1855 had been WR I think I would have avoided buying f2.8 zooms, I would have been happier (given the weight and compactness) and would have saved a lot of money. Unfortunately after a year of use the internal lenses were full of dust, visible in the f11 shots, so I sold it to fund WR lenses. Unwieldy and uncomfortable lampshade. |
sent on April 25, 2020 Pros: sharpness, lightness, stabilization... Cons: I don't know, it fully meets my needs Opinion: Goal from value for money to the top. It does not suffer from the lack of a focal 2.8, thanks to the stabilization and wonderful high iso yield of my xt2. What to say, it satisfies me fully. Before buying it I had thought to take the 50-140 (I come from a Canon L-series kit); I don't regret it at all. Vote 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
user63757 ![]() ![]() | sent on March 20, 2020 Pros: Sharpness, Construction Cons: WR, AF Opinion: Really very interesting this zoom Fuji 55-200 approaches the sharpness yield at 50-140 but weighs almost put it as well as the costs many more steps. Pro Sharpness great the Ice Stabilizer also present tires great feeling. Bokeh perhaps better than on the 50-140 of course always compared with the same diaphragms. Against Ghiera zooms too hard, AF very precise but compared with the slow 50-140. Internal powder formation lacks WR seals for dust and moisture. Pump a lot of air inside optical. The mechanics leave a lot to want far from the 50-140 optics this remains superior even as overall yield but very little. After trying almost all Fuji zoom at the quality level I would say the best Fuji zoom at medium high level. All in all I consider this optical zoom 55-200 among the best successful Fuji great ratio yield and cost. |
sent on February 24, 2020 Pros: sharpness af fast with good light price right Cons: for me nothing Opinion: I took it about 6 months ago used with the dealer's warranty of 6 months and I am fully satisfied with it. I had zoom of different brands : canon nikon sigma of equal characteristics but not at the level of fuji that by excellent results, among other things the barrel does not go downright . you can use very slow times without easel or monopod without having the move the stabilizer is as good as the quality I recommend it to everyone |
sent on August 21, 2019 Pros: Image quality, sharpness, size, construction, stabilizer Cons: Lack of numbered diaphragms Opinion: Very solid and at the same time light goal, built to perfection like any Fuji lens (sin the unnumbered diaphragm diaphragm diaphragms) diaphragm). Quite small in size given the focal excursion, you can safely use it even during long walks without having to suffer the neck. Image quality really great, sharp and well contrasted. Autofocus very good, responsive and fast (I paired it with an X-T3, probably the credit is also of the machine). Excellent stabilizer, sprinting quietly under 1/30 without any problem whatsoever. The bokeh is also very good, I have to admit that, although it is not a specialist optics, it defends well also as a portrait lens. I also used it to make some macros and I was satisfied with it (clearly it is not a microscope, but for macro pushes you obviously need dedicated goals). For a generalist use I can only recommend this goal, I am finding myself really well and I recommend it to anyone interested in these focal points, you will not be disappointed. |
sent on December 18, 2018 Pros: quality, stabilizer, 55 mm footprint, weight Cons: lampshade a bit cumbersome and hard to screw Opinion: I bought at an attractive price this lens 2 weeks ago taking advantage of the Christmas cashback . Having purchased a fuji x t 20 with 18-55 I was looking for a canvas and the choice fell on this lens having also evaluated the fuji 100-400 (later discarded for reasons of clutter) and the fuji 50 140 (too short). What to say, the lens is of excellent craftsmanship and quality, as standard Fujifilm. Smooth but not too much, great stabilizer (I took perfectly sharp photos even at 1/10th of a second). Great sharpness to all the focal points. At full extent on tripods maybe it is a bit unbalanced, because with my befree manfrotto once tightened the head the system has a bit of yielding (but clearly it is a limit of the tripod). Recommended! 9/10 vote |
sent on September 17, 2018 Pros: Build quality, sharpness, footprint and weight. Cons: In my opinion, hood and cap in plastic material undercast compared to the quality of the lens Opinion: Solidity and constructive details worthy of Fuji. It has high sharpness and excellent stabilization. The Af was not very fast with the X-T1; Considerably more responsive and precise mounted on X-T2. In my opinion also recommended for value for money that I find balanced. I consider this extremely versatile optics, coupled with the 18-50, for the "photographic outputs" in which it is important to reduce the weights to be transported. |
sent on September 04, 2018 Pros: Fuji Quality, stabilizer, build quality Cons: A bit dark, missing zoom lock key Opinion: Bought recently but very satisfied. Light, responsive and fast. Great focal hike. The stabilizer is extraordinary and overall the quality of the materials and the constructive one is at the top. Fuji in this does not contradict itself. Excellent definition and sharpness, especially from 5.6 onwards. A little cumbersome with the hood. The only drawback is the lack of the barrel sliding block. Upside down tends to stretch easily. However also recommended for the price not exaggerated. |
sent on August 09, 2017 Pros: Relatively compact and lightweight, excellent stabilization, very practical in use Cons: For now nothing Opinion: I use it on x pro2 from a meset and find it comfortable and reactive jetty. Very good AF that is quick and accurate makes good use of face recognition. I was pleasantly struck by the stabilizer .... really efficient. Excellent and homogeneous image quality .... I recommend it, I use it in paired with 16-55xf; Good as a generic and landscaping job, in portraits I prefer fixed, not practical birdlife and I would not know how to judge it, in the street it has its own why. |
sent on August 06, 2016 Pros: construction, sharpness, Stabilization. Cons: Nothing Opinion: Built with care, it gives a feeling of Solidity. It has a high sharpness and a very, very good stabilization. In certain situations the AF is not very fast coupled with the x-t1, coupled with the x-t2 is much more Reactive. Inserted on the body of the xt1/xt2 is still quite balanced and the 600 grams of weight do not warn Much. Movement of the zoom ring slightly contrasting. Too bad it's not compatible with the parent Company's Multipliers. |
sent on June 30, 2015 Pros: typical construction FUJI or excellent, excellent stabilizer, sharpness, despite being a relatively light weight canvas. Cons: the hood a bit 'bulky. Opinion: again FUJI not disappoint churning out a 'very excellent optics, weights and dimensions are valid for a mirrorless system. af improved because of the 'update, the stabilizer does its job very well, on xt1 not unbalance the machine and finally the price in' used is reasonable. recommended. |
sent on September 05, 2013 Pros: sharpness, contrast and brightness over the entire zoom range / range cloths / full size and weight still reasonable for a mirrorless system / stabilizer very effective / robust construction Cons: the absence of a focal block of the excursion / light play on the graft camera / Minimum focus distance sometimes insufficient to shorter focal Opinion: Fujifilm confirms excellent producer of optics, this telephoto, while being as heavy and cumbersome system, it is "decisive" for all telephoto lens and remains an object stipabile easily in a bag of small / medium size. Together with the other zoom currently on the list, covers all the needs for a reasonably foreseeable use generalist. The risolvenza is high, in full satisfaction, and does not spoil the high potential of the sensor Fuji, even at full aperture and at longer focal lengths, which are notoriously critical in this class of zoom. At times the minimum distance of maf is a bit 'high when you use it with very short focal, especially in portrait wide open, where it offers one blurred, however, very pleasant, though obviously not to the levels of optical dedicated to this genre. In this sense, it is also preferable to 18-55 adjusted to the maximum focal length, both for the stop means more brightness, it is precisely for the blurred more pasty. The AF is not aslogical level SLR, but within the system Fuji XF is probably the fastest, at least in situations of light and contrast standards. Sometimes flaw of uncertainty when the light begins to dwindle, but in many ways it is more than anything else to take the necessary familiarity with the possible "response" of the system and take steps accordingly. The backlight is not a problema.rnInnestandolo on the camera, it is a very light game that exceeds the "click" of the locking point: trifles, it is perceived as placing or removing the lens hood. I consider it an essential supplement for those who conceives its own system Fuji as a real alternative to a reflex system, while the three fixed lenses basic enough to those who use the Fujifilm X once used as a rangefinder system, complement "light" to SLR kit complete. |
sent on August 14, 2013 Pros: Construction, optical quality, highly effective stabilizer. Cons: A 200 mm lens hood with grafted and 'very cumbersome. Opinion: The construction of the lens and 'excellent, as well as performance in the optical layer. The stabilizer and 'very effective and allows you to shoot at slow shutter speeds even at 200mm. The brightness is not miracle, but if it had been fixed to 2.8 weight and size would have been quite different. The lens' sufficiently compact and lightweight, especially when compared to targets of the same focal length equivalent to 84-305 do not forget to be unbalanced and not overly bodies like X-E1, much less X-Pro1. A 200 mm lens hood with grafted becomes very cumbersome, but basically when clicked it back to 55mm and everything falls into place. The blurry I'm not crazy but I can not define it, however unpleasant. The Af thanks to the recent upgrade of camera bodies and the type of engine used and 'adequate but certainly not like a lightning reflex system. The purchase price is going down gradually and at the time of writing although not given and 'anything but outrageous. Definitely recommended. |
