Pros: Outstanding clean and elegant finish. Tight assembly. Light (!!!) - it balances very fine on a small Fuji body (XT-2 and XT-1 in my case). Very comfortable to hold. Extremely fast AF. Fantastic ability to find and hold on to eye and face in eye-focus mode. Good close focus on aps-c sensor. Silent. Good price (320 EUR here).

Cons: Small amount of blue fringing in ***extremely*** backlit images - corrected 100% in my software. No problem.

Opinion: After getting my fingers burnt on many Fuji lenses (super expensive but only average image quality) and having browsed sample images of fellow photographers I decided to give Viltrox a chance. So far so good - the lens is super elegant and seems very well made. AF is extremely fast, silent and sure. Eye and face focus work like a dream too. It is very comfortable to hold. Manual focus ring is smooth and precise. This lens is in my opinion 10/10 in aesthetics and mechanical properties. I will report on its optical properties when I have shot first 1000 images with it. By now I only shot a few test shots so I can only say the bokeh on aps-c Fuji body is spectacular - by far the best I have seen from any Fuji lens so far - it is smooth, it is soft and creamy - exactly what I want it to be.

Pros: if found with RF mount about 300€: sharpness, aesthetic finish, blurred (it's 1.8 at 85mm you know that from good blur, but maybe it's not really 1.8)

Cons: definitely lens hood and cap: hateful. so-so focusing motor: noise that seems to have a Vespa stuck under the barrel, and it's not really a splinter but so much so that you take portraits of it not sport

Opinion: taken to try the focal length, I like it. I'm not a professional, but I think that to work on it without extreme pretensions is great, for an amateur even more than necessary. vote 9 because at this price you can ask for very little more, even if the hood and cap are OBEDIENT, and it is not a small detail: the cap does not hook and often jumps off, and if you don't notice it when you put it in your backpack they are troubles. The lens hood, however, is even worse: hard, it is difficult to find the joint and even here it is not a small one: you have to hold the neck of the barrel with one hand near the coupling on the camera body and then rotate trying to tighten or release the lens hood, so much so that done only with one hand I felt the lens move on the mount, not to drop it, of course, but over time the camera side mount and also the contacts can wear out. This alone is the biggest flaw I find, because risking ruining the mount in the room to save 5 euros on lens hood design is, excuse me, the classic cinesata. That said, if you are careful and have patience with these maneuvers, you have a nice lens in your hand, more between f2-2.5 than f1.8 according to someone as a light adjustable to the sensor, but even if it were 85mm f2 at 300 € with AF RF mount you find an alternative. Of course you don't have the lens correction profiles on the various programs, nice annoyance, but in my opinion the issue of withdrawn canon licenses returns so it's not his fault. If you are a professional and you can spend more, allow yourself more, if you are an amateur or you are starting the professional set (understood photo by profession) it is ok not to break the bank and destroy budgets on flashes, diffusers, stands and other lenses. Last note: if it is true that maybe between 300 and 800 € there is a gap of choice and therefore it would deserve a 10 I say no, no because then there are several 90-100mm macro options that honestly change very little the performance (we go up to f2.8 but more mm if you look at the blurry), solving all the annoyances of grafts, caps, profiles without compromising optical resolution. So 9 generous, no more

Pros: Excellent blur, solid lens, low weight

Cons: chromatic aberration

Opinion: I bought this lens (new at auction for 300€) for canon r6 mk II... Honestly, I'm finding myself divinely! Fast AF, excellent blur, I don't see any problems even at TA (maybe "fault" of the camera?) For what you spend on it, it is certainly worth more. Leaving aside the "old" EF lenses, in my opinion, you can't find better. I prefer it to the RF 85mm f2 first of all for that little bit more brightness, then also for the cost, not to mention the materials used. It makes me laugh that there are users who complain about said optics for the weight, or for the materials! Quality weighs, professional lenses are always the ones that weigh the most, don't you want the weight?! Make plastic goals. TO CONCLUDE the only flaw of viltrox, but it had already been seen in other lenses, the chromatic aberration which, however, I don't think is even too excessive and often even pleasant.

Pros: Viltrox AF85 F1.8 with RF mount, used on RP, R6, R8. Rendered on par with the Canon EF135mm f/2.0. Very soft blur, very sharp even at TA. Excellent materials, ridiculously low price.

Cons: Against Canon which with the R8 has made it difficult to use. Against DxO because it does not have the optical module. Lens hood difficult to assemble and disassemble. A minimum of distortion that can be easily controlled in PP

Opinion: I had the Viltrox AF85 F1.8 with RF mount for two and a half years. Paid new 320 euros. Used on RP and R6 for trouble-free photos and videos. With the R8 it was not possible to use it if you set the Exposure + Depth of Field simulation. The machine is blocked. Sold only because I had the monkey of the 85mm Sigma ART (which cost me more than double). I have opened 3 discussions about this lens (https://www.juzaphoto.com/viewforum.php?sf=201&l=it) to be considered the best of the powerful lenses for Canon RF I own. Little else to say: for the rest just see the images below. A very soft blur, a performance on a par with the EF135mm of which it becomes the worthy companion.

Pros: Arrived today, taken on the Bay by a German private individual, paid 282 coffees. Still sealed it is gorgeous, it looks like a Zeiss, nice materials, mounted on Z5, made some test shots of my models, at F2.8 in my opinion, Sunday photographer, it's scary. I'll take nice portraits of my children and grandchildren, but I think it doesn't suck in macro either

Cons: It is big, heavy, showy..... But I already knew

Opinion: I have read many reviews, positive and some negative but it seems to me a good optic, I am not a PRO, but I have been taking photos for many years always faithful to Nikon mom. The lens hood engages well, the optics engage just as well, it's not version II, but I don't care, with what I paid for it, I repeat sealed....... I hope it gives me satisfaction combined with the Nikkor 40 f2 and the Nikkor 24-70 f4 Greetings

Pros: solidity, materials, good performance at TA, excellent bokeh, price even in second-hand, aesthetically and tactile beautiful, yield and sharpness, not too much vignetting, on Fujifilm exceptional color rendering

Cons: very delicate aperture blades, AF well but not very well, inadequate firmware support, with low light or light not optimal finds a lot of difficulty, noisy internal motor that does not inspire confidence and tranquility in use

Opinion: Extremely beautiful lens and at a remarkably affordable price for the level offered. I took this as my first Fuji mirrorless lens and I must admit that after a long time and many purchased lenses, even the most high-end ones, it remains my trusted travel companion and my flagship for semi-pro portraits. it does not do well, however, in particular cases of low light, with the passage of time, however, it continues to worsen the performance of the AF and now even for landscapes in the evening it continues to take more than 10 seconds before locking the indicated point and 8 times out of 10 it makes mistakes and forces you to switch to MF and, I know that my lack is not so comfortable. the materials are excellent and, despite the lack of the aperture ring and the MF ring is not optimal, I would recommend it to anyone with a nice grade of 10-/10

Pros: Crystal clear

Cons: Nice chunky but not heavy.

Opinion: Won at an auction for 160€, I wasn't sure if I had made a good purchase, as soon as I arrived I took a few TA shots and various apertures, I was stunned, excellent optical quality, excellent build quality. Curious, I made a small comparison with the Fujinon 16-55 2.8, you won't believe it, but the Viltrox is much sharper, already at f1.8 it manages to solve the lowercase letters on the bottles where several lenses, even excellent ones, fail. At f2.8 it's already monstrous. On the Fujifilm X-H1 it doesn't have the AF performance of the professional zoom, but it's not bad. In some photos I noticed some purple bangs on metals. For the rest, given the price, I would say vote 11

Pros: Under certain circumstances: excellent sharpness at TA; balanced colors; AF good; pleasing bokeh; good perceived quality of the body; Very tempting price.

Cons: On the Canon R6 the performance is too hit and miss in the different shooting modes, which makes the lens unreliable in general. Only one firmware update released by Viltrox at the end of 2022, then software support has disappeared from the official website only for the RF mount. It is therefore not recommended for those who have a Canon mirrorless.

Opinion: The Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 II taken alone is a good lens in many respects, but finding a specimen that communicates perfectly with the camera in all shooting modes is a lottery, which unfortunately I did not win. So much for my experience with two used Viltrox specimens on the Canon EOS R6. Always be wary of "reviews" from youtube brands and filter only the information you need. They all copy each other doing the usual useless test of the shot of a wall, a person or an immovable object then they cheat you with half an hour of examining like obsessives the shots magnified on the monitor. However, the quality of a lens is not measured by evaluating only sharpness, vignetting or chromatic aberration. The first thing to test, especially with regard to lenses from third-party manufacturers, would be compatibility with all the automatic functions of the various camera bodies. Showing people just how sharp the lens is is pointless and misleading if there are compatibility issues in the overall operation. In my experience, in fact, two examples of the model in question behaved in the same way on the R6, producing inconsistent results in different shooting situations. Just a few examples: when you vary the apertures; when using at least one auto exposure parameter (shutter priority, aperture priority, or auto ISO); when going on continuous shooting (burst) with auto ISO; other. If it goes well, 1 in 6 shots is exposed correctly. Not to mention the AF that even in continuous shooting at a certain point "loses the compass" and the failure of the camera to recognize the lens that occurs occasionally when turned on. The situation improved a bit by updating the lens to the latest firmware version 1.1.5 released by Viltrox in September of 2022. Unfortunately, however, since then there is no longer a page dedicated to updates for the RF mount on the official Viltrox website, so the lens can no longer keep up with fw updates and the latest Canon camera models. It does not seem to me the utmost seriousness and correctness on the part of a company to eliminate without any communication the software support for an entire system (RF) of such a recent lens (released in 2020) that is still on the market today. In conclusion, as anticipated at the beginning, if we analyze the lens itself it is also nice. Compact and lightweight, it appears comfortable to handle. The metal body and smooth bezel give good quality feel, apart from the lens hood which is bad. The presence of the USB-C port would also have been a plus point if Viltrox hadn't sawed off the upgrades for the RF mount so prematurely. When it works, the lens delivers a satisfying overall image rendition. Even at TA he plays with much more expensive 85mm. AF in single shot mode and video mode is good. Ultimately, I think it is a good lens, suitable for exclusively amateur use and limited to "relaxed" situations such as landscapes and portraits with living beings that remain in a plastic pose for the photographer. It can also be used for some unpretentious video shooting, as long as you have a way to stabilize it. Not recommended for any professional use and for all those dynamic contexts where promptness and reliability are required (street, events, reportage, other).

Pros: Incredible q/p ratio, overall quality, blurred color at all distances, neutral colors tending to warm, sharpness, AF always accurate, comfortable and balanced, possibility to update the firmware without accessories and with extreme ease.

Cons: for some strange reason closing the diapheramma after f2.8, the autofocus becomes less reliable (I almost always use it at TA), maybe a bit the size

Opinion: A little considered lens, certainly better than the sony that I found it too contrasty on the shadows, it filters little or no UV and with a very bad bokeh at certain distances. I use it a lot with satisfaction. Great for events and portraits. Even in the evening the shots are all perfect on my a7 III, where it is always hooked. The blur is very nice, it creates a subject-to-background detachment from expensive lens. Unlike the sony, the overall color rendering is warmer and very natural. Really recommended. Sometimes it is found at affordable prices. Brava viltrox now update the 50mm 1.8 because it didn't turn out as well for you.

Pros: sharpness and overall image quality

Cons: I would say nothing maybe the hood that does not engage quickly

Opinion: I have been using this lens for about a year on fuji APS-C so with a focal length that translates into about a 130 mm. overall I find it a good lens well usable, given the brightness, for interiors (concerts, ceremonies and more). given the size is a bit unbalanced on the XE series while working well on both XT and XH (on X-H1 sometimes goes into block the AF). good three-dimensionality and color rendering.

Pros: Professional Optics-great detail and three-dimensionality-construction-quality' very good price.

Cons: What to say no contraindication

Opinion: Viltrox 85mm on Nikon Z6 2 a nice pair well balanced, lightning autofocus, even in the dark very responsive, I highly recommend it for its quality 'optical and construction, the price very affordable for an 85mm, I used the viltrox also on Sony with amazing results, packaging really well done seems to buy a Zeiss, vote 10/10.

Pros: excellent result, solid construction, Superior to Canon f4 lenses

Cons: Smooth and slippery finish that requires greater attention when mounting on the body. The AF/MF button is missing

Opinion: I am an amateur photographer little more than amateur. I bought last week the Viltrox in very good condition used, for my new Sony A 7C. I have a Canon system (not R) with the 24-105 f4 and 70-200 f4. I also have the Sigma MC11 to use Canon lenses on Sony body. I did the first tests shooting at focal length 85 first with Canon lenses and Canon body, then Canon lenses and Sony body, then the Viltrox. I did not pay particular attention to vignetting and aberrations as they were not obvious, but mainly to resolution and sharpness, in addition to the character of the photograph. I must say that the Viltrox thrilled me, overall better results at times in a noticeable way, certainly compared to 24-105. Negative for me the finish of the body, too smooth and slippery, at the first attempt to mount on the body at times slips me. I read previous comments about the difficulty of inserting the hood. It is true that sometimes it does not fix on the first attempt, but it is not so difficult. My rating is at least a 9.6 and I highly recommend it, also considering the cost.

Pros: Good performance at F 1.8 with Canon Eos R, the center of the image and bokeh are great. A little bit of vignetting at the edges but nothing irreparable then in p.p. Lightness.

Cons: Hood not much but price half of the Canon 85 mm f 2.0. It is not stabilized.

Opinion: My opinion aligns with the previous ones. Unfortunately with the RF mount there is not much, one of the few portrait lenses with an excellent blur at 1.8 can be this Viltrox otherwise you can spend much more with the Canon F 2.0 that costs twice or with the older brothers RF 85 F1.2 whose price is multiplied by 10. Colors not at Canon level but can be improved in post production. You can see in the gallery "Photos in no particular order" of portraits taken with Canon Eos R and Viltrox 85 mm f 1.8.

Pros: Sharpness, construction, price

Cons: Lens hood

Opinion: My impressions are in line with those that preceded me in the review. Recently purchased, at the first use I was satisfied with this lens, which already behaves very well at full aperture. Unbeatable price quality in my opinion (since for Fuji the alternatives are not many). The only sore point is the hood that, in addition to being made of plastic unlike the younger brothers Viltrox, is really difficult to mount both in mode of use and at rest, it is really difficult to insert it at first glance without running the risk of ruining the thread. Too bad. All in all, however, apart from the hood, it is a lens that deserves. Advised

avatarsenior

Pros: I confirm all the positive things that others have already said.

Cons: Light vignetting easily eliminated. Hood: in an inverted position it is not possible to block, while in operation it does not create problems.

Opinion: Combined with Z6 and taken from Foto Colombo at a very advantageous price with an official 2-year warranty. Feeling of solidity and well finished; to be confirmed over time. Compared with Nikon 85mm f/1.8G, even at T.A., I did not perceive any differences visible to the eye, except for the aforementioned modest vignetting. It costs about 1/3 of the original Z series, but it is to be purchased first of all for the excellent overall performance. Obviously the classic quality/price ratio is unbeatable. Without a doubt vote 10.

Pros: Weight, build quality, optical quality, fast maf, a blade even at TA

Cons: light TA vignetting but there is

Opinion: After having had for a while the Fuji 90mm f2 I decided to buy some time ago this Viltrox 85mm 1.8 ... moral of the story ... Fuji sold, and Viltrox in my optical park... and that says a lot. Incrediblely engraved also in TA, fast focus, pleasant detachment of the subjects ... I did several outdoor shoots this summer and in many jobs I DECIDED to work mainly with this Viltrox for at least 80% of the shots ... the quality that comes out of it is incredible, the sharpness even at TA from applause ... and remember that it is still a lens that costs less than € 400. It is the second Viltrox lens that I keep pleasantly in my kit after giving away the respective Fuji (23mm and 90mm).

Pros: Build quality, sharpness, blur quality, overall performance

Cons: Hood mounting mechanism, chromatic aberration, lack of diaphragm ring, small AF uncertainties (Fujifilm X-T20)

Opinion: At the constructive level it looks very good, a beautiful piece of solid metal, with a not exaggerated weight and pleasant proportions. The focus ring is nice spacious and convenient to use. Its hardness is well calibrated for a palm grip, given the important size, but if you go to adjust with your fingertips as you are led more often to do, it is perhaps a little harder than the optimal comfort zone. However, it remains a pleasant experience. A great pity the lack of the diaphragm ring, but if it had to be without shots as in the Viltrox models with shorter focal length, perhaps it is better this way. On the side of the bayonet there is a micro USB port with which you can connect the lens to the PC in order to make firmware updates. The process is very simple, but the manufacturer could certainly engage a little more in the documentation (it is a couple of pages written on the fly with Word, without any formatting and with a lot of screenshots in Chinese), since it is not a 20 € plastic. But that's okay. What is not good at all is the mounting system of the hood: here it comes out of arrogance where Viltrox has saved: it is a system simply flawed and if I had not read negative comments about it before buying the lens, I would have considered it as defective. It is very hard to assemble and never goes to its seat on the first attempt. You have to stay there to try and try again with the risk of sliding everything to the ground, since it requires a lot of strength. Fortunately the plastic is quite resistant and at the moment I have not noticed fraying due to excessive handling. One word: very bad. I used this lens mainly for portrait photos and in different light conditions, and I must say that I am very satisfied with the returned look. The blur is extremely pleasant, the image is microcontrasted the right and the level of detail is elevated already to TA, to become excellent as soon as it closes by 1 stop. At F2.8 even at the edges everything is perfectly sharp. There is only one small, big problem: the lens suffers from chromatic aberration in an exaggerated way! Particularly in conditions of direct sunlight and in situations of strong contrast. If even a ray of sunlight falls on the subject, fuchsia bands appear on the edges. The serious thing is that the problem is also present in the center of the frame. And there is no way to limit the phenomenon in an acceptable way if not closing at F4! In the interiors or in shady areas there is no problem, but for TA photos under the sun, even of a faint autumn sunset, you have to take into account this big problem. The AF is quite responsive: in quiet situations the lens can easily keep up with the camera inputs. In the case of fast-moving subjects, such as a child running in our direction, we must take several photos in sequence to hope to have 1-2 in focus on the face. In short, fast but not a lightning bolt on X-T20. On two occasions I found the camera completely broken down with the lens that was constantly focus hunting: the first time it was resolved after a few seconds, the second time I had to restart the camera. It is difficult to say if it was a problem with the lens or a software glitch of the X-T20, but it seems right to report the problem.

Pros: Sharp, great overall construction, fast.

Cons: The attachment of the hood is painful.

Opinion: I took this lens for Nikon z6 to use during some ceremony and to have a fixed in the kit without spending a figure not being my main genre. The lens behaves very well already at the total aperture of the diaphragm, but it is at its best closing at 2.2 - 2.8. The autofocus is like my nikon 24-70 f4, the teaching automatisms etc work very well. It also performs very well in the backlight. I would say especially for the price at which it is proposed it turns out to be a very valid optics.

Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, built well apart from the hood

Cons: The worst hood I have ever handled, hard to find other obvious flaws at this price.

Opinion: Purchased on the fly given the cost. Excellent sharpness and bokeh. Having it in my hand gives me the feeling of a high-quality lens. Fast and reliable autofocus. I only tried it on an exit to the park but the sensations were very positive. The various vignetting and distortion defects present at maximum openings are easily corrected in post-production.

avatarjunior
sent on 05 Ottobre 2021

Pros: Sharpness, build quality, autofocus

Cons: Cheap and not very ergonomic plastic hood

Opinion: For the price at which it is sold it is certainly a great deal, given that the antagonist in the Fuji house costs almost triple (XF 90mm f2). Sharp already at full aperture, it has a good bokeh and an almost non-existent vignetting. Unfortunately, it suffers from longitudinal chromatic aberration, backlit flare and focus breathing. Despite these flaws, I can only recommend the purchase to those who delight in the portrait or want a medium bright canvas at an affordable cost. Do not forget the possibility of updating the firmware through a simple USB cable, certainly a plus.

Pros: price, yield and cotrutive quality.

Cons: hood that makes you angry.

Opinion: A great lens for portraits and more. I also used it for details of landscapes and close ups with very good results. A bit of difficulty in the close up of insects with automatic af, it is a bit difficult, but if you put it in manual on the tripod it has a yield and sharpness from fear. Colors compared to Fuji optics remain slightly cooler. For freehand portraits the af responds and hooks very well. For the cost yield, sharpness, precision and quality I recommend it, from great satisfaction. I use it on Fujifilm X S10 without problems, the lens is a bit heavy but the adequate and excellent grip of the camera give it the right balance. The only flaw is the hood ..... if you are in a hurry to mount it are pains and curses. A cumbersome and in my opinion ridiculous coupling system. These were the problems of a perspective.

Pros: Fantastic sharpness, excellent construction all aluminum, fast autofocus.

Cons: Plastic lampshed a little difficult to put and remove.

Opinion: Wonderful third-party optics for Fujifilm I use it on Xt3 that say extraordinary impressed me autofocus and excellent sharpness already at full opening f.1.8 metal construction like fuji and all glass, blurry beautiful and clearly cost. Only sore note the lampshon but if we are going to see the lampshaces of the original Fuji...... In conclusion, I am satisfied and good VILTROX!!!

Pros: super mechanics, exceptional sharpness, made colors a little cold but faithful and excellent saturation

Cons: weight, but that's obvious. lampshed sometimes difficult to put and remove

Opinion: gorgeous optics, price all in all affordable. The first model delivered to me by Amazon did not connect with my X-T4 or the X-E4. Made the return immediately and repurchased. Delivered after 24 hours, Amazon works fantastically. Taken few photos for logistical problems but those taken at the surrounding buildings show excellent yield. Saturated colors, cold, but very faithful. The only problem, but of course it's not straight, is that it's very massive and heavy. All glass and steel. super.

Pros: 99% sharpness from edge to edge, mechanical quality, AF speed

Cons: No x now..

Opinion: Mamma mia che ottica, price ratio performance really shocking. Superb mechanical quality, truly remarkable aesthetics for a third-party optics. The mechanical and electronic connection with my perfect Z6II, no Autofocus problems, all the functions of the Z6II perfectly maintained, even easily upgradable firmware. Amazing optical quality for the price offered, sharpness from edge to edge and this already at full opening, the bokeh can be considered, in my opinion, its strong point. Very slight, but really very slight chromatic aberration at the extreme edges. Quality equal to the 85 1.8 G with Ftz adaptor in every sense, and therefore does not make me regret it, also because the 85 mounted on FTZ can not be looked at. 10 and Praise !!!!

Pros: Build quality, sharpness, speed in hooking the eye, great

Cons: For now, no one

Opinion: Tried in tandem with a Sigma Art 85mm and I must say that I absolutely have no regrets about the Sigma. In fact, the fact that it weighed half and was half the size is definitely a big plus. Hooked to the Z6 then aesthetically it's really gorgeous. A really good lens, absolutely recommended. I was afraid of regretting the Nikon 85mm, but at the end of the day I think you can't ask for more at 85mm.

Pros: Metal construction, beautiful; blurry, sharpness, very competitive price, fast AF

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: This morning I purchased this objective recommended to me by Mr. Guido di Ottica Universitaria here in Rome with whom I befriended after purchasing the Nikon Z6 II bodysuit from his store. By telephone, he had explained to me the merits of this perspective by inviting me to go to the store to evaluate in person. Well, he was right! Meanwhile, the lens is well packed in a double heavy cardboard package, accompanying there are a small pocket of microfiber, a sheet with instructions in English, a card for registering the warranty. Solid construction and really well made all in metal, including flange; heavy, I think, the right. From the few test shots the lens was very very responsive in the very precise and at the same time silent focus; truly sharpness at the highest levels and splendid boken. I do not think we can expect any more than this price!

Pros: Sharpness, boken, construction, autofocus

Cons: His name is Viltrox

Opinion: Bought for Nikon Z6 this lens really surprised me. Impeccable metal and glass construction like modern Zeiss, crazy sharpness all over the frame already at f1.8, very responsive and precise autofocus and then the price costs less than half the Nikon Z 85mm f1.8 S. In my opinion if you had called Zeiss everyone would exalt its qualities, but it would be priced at least 1,500 € more. Unfortunately your name is Viltrox and I like you like you that way.

Pros: Quiet autofocus, great sharpness and price

Cons: For now, no one

Opinion: I have only just purchased this objective, so it is a little early to make a judgment on it. However, from the few shots I took, I was amazed at the quality both in construction and optical terms. I did a comparative test with other optics in my possession and I have to say that the result was very positive, so I recommend it extensively. It is worth all 379.00 euros and even more.

Pros: All

Cons: Nobody.

Opinion: Although I only have it for a few days I realized on the fly, taking some shots and my ritual caserecci tests, that this optics is excellent. If I had to synthesize I would say that I feel like I have an ART f1,8, both as a yield and as a construction. The use on Sony A7rII and produces spectacular images, I can not find defects, even in weight, which for an f1.8 is not very little, but that I see it necessary for it to produce such beautiful and flawless images. It is very sharp at all diaphragms and at all distances, produces clear and well contrasted images even at full opening, blurry decidedly pleasant, excellent in the backlight, silent autofocus and fast enough, has an impeccable construction, to update the firmware just a USB, even the packaging is excellent, finally very competitive price. What more could you want? For me the ring of the diaphragms, but unfortunately on that front is in good company, so you have to "settle". A nice 10 for me who love f1.8s

Opinion: I think I am the first to make a judgment on this goal, purchased for Nikon Z6ii and Nikon Z7. Viltrox, contrary to all forecasts, was the first third-party company to produce an autofocus lens with Zmount attack. It is a very simple lens in its construction, in fact there is only the ring for manual focus and nothing else. It's quite light, 484 grams with a filter diameter of 72 mm, so quite large, and takes all the automatisms from the camera, like autofocus, stabilizer, and everyone else in the room. From the first shots, I noticed that the focus is equal to the Zmount Nikon objectives, while for the quality of the fail, I reserve the right to deepen the covid situation allowing. I can at the moment express satisfaction, polluted we are also allowed to make choices other than the native Nikon objectives that although they are of an exaggerated quality, they also have not indifferent prices, especially for photo amateurs like me.

Pros: Sharpens quality of price materials in relation to performance.

Cons: Lack of stabilization.

Opinion: Viltrox is producing high-performance optics with excellent value for money. I took the 85 f1.8 for my xt2. But we need to be able to manage it. Being heavy and without stabilization you have to shoot at times not less than 1/125, using the AFC. Surely on xs10 xt4 and XH1 the problem is solved due to the presence of the stabilized sensor. Update: I tried it more thoroughly. It's just great. You don't have to be fooled by the photos seen in the car. On the PC and in print it really makes excellent. As soon as possible I will take 23 1.4.

Pros: All

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Tried, though quickly, lent to me by a friend, on xpro2 and H1. Fast af and impeccable photographic quality, but not in relation to the price, in absolute value, is given away. Those who expect a Leica or Zeiss or other are off the road but would be nonsensical comparisons, but already compared to Fuji it has the same yield and a decidedly different cost. Ultra recommended.
