Pros: Sharpness, focal range, size

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: It is truly a masterpiece because despite being a zoom with a focal range that starts from 20 there is no compromise with quality. It is also small and inconspicuous. I have just returned from Morocco and I have used it to do street in the souks and views in the desert, always with maximum satisfaction. Even after using it under a sandstorm I didn't feel any grains of sand getting into the zoom and focus rings, despite not being an internal zoom. Anyone who knows the desert sand knows what I mean. Perfect travel lens

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: After trying sigma 14-24 f2.8, Sony 16-35 f2.8 gmaster, and other worse lenses I can safely say without a shadow of a doubt that this is a perfect lens. Always excellent autofocus. Minimum focusing distance of 19cm at all focal lengths. Very good. Nice soft bokeh. Non-existent flares. He already makes the star at f5.6. It's not stabilized but I've noticed that Sony lenses with Sony bodies don't know how they have better stabilization than third party lenses. I don't even want to say that it's only f4 because thanks to that it weighs little and has a focal range that you can take with you on vacation for sure and in the city. For the mountains, those who go there know well that it is useless to have a lens that starts from 20mm because it is little and reaches 70mm because it is always too little. But for everything else it's a perfect lens

Pros: Sharpness, Construction, Focal range 20-70, Compactness.

Cons: Software correction of falling lines and on the wide angle.

Opinion: I've been using it for a year now and it's accompanying me on many outings. I found this lens, combined with the Sigma 100-400 DN, the ideal kit for travel. I find the results at f.7.1 very good and finally the color rendering of the Sony has also begun to be to my liking. I found the resistance to flares good but it is not immune to. I find excessive, intrusive and not entirely well executed the software correction of the wide-angle lens that at 20mm tends to stretch the lines and deform the corners. I prefer to work with manual correction of falling lines in post-production.

Pros: Compactness, weight and focusing distance from Macro

Cons: Price and 70mm?

Opinion: I bought this lens for a next trip to Japan where the prerogative is to have with you as little bulk as possible, and in fact once you pick up the lens is really compact and light! Excellent sharpness even at F4! Nice to have in a small zoom even the 20mm, obviously on the other hand the 70mm can often be few ... What no one has mentioned is the minimum focusing distance, shorter than stated and in manual focus at 70mm you can focus on objects between 9 and 10 cm! High price, maybe too much, but already begins to show some nice offer ... Taken on Amazon at a discount + a cashback code that I had for a total of € 1110.

Pros: Focal Excursion towards the wide angle and Sharpness

Cons: High price

Opinion: I replaced my 24-105 F4 with this 20-70 because for the use I make of it, trips and photos (amateur) at ceremonies, both the 24mm and the 105mm often were not enough for me to approach or move away from the subjects. I took this 20-70 that wide-angle side for me is perfect and I flanked it to a 70-300 telephoto side. Definitely better built and much sharper than the 24-105, the lack of stabilization in the photos is not felt by not making videos I can not express an opinion. I got to take pictures at night that you find in my freehand gallery, Iso 2000 F4 1/10 but after the correction of the noise with Lightroom the result is spectacular does not make you regret on any occasion not having a brighter lens with you. For me an excellent lens all do maybe to be combined with one or two fixed for more refined shots.

Pros: Very sharp at all focal lengths, small, light, beautiful yield and colors, nice bokeh, close-up performance, physical aperture ring.

Cons: For what it costs a metal hood they could put it there.

Opinion: It's the ultimate universal zoom. Put under pressure in difficult light conditions, it proved to be practically perfect. It is incredibly sharp over the entire range of focal lengths, excellent backlight hold, f11 star effect really nice, imperceptible ac, at the higher focal length it has great macro capabilities, and without loss of quality, maintaining a soft and pleasant bokeh. I do not consider a defect the lack of stabilization, whose modulus would have increased the size, while distortion and vignetting, canceled in jpeg, are very easily corrected on the raw. And anyway I didn't find them as devastating as seen in the various reviews. Maybe C1 23 already has automatic correction, because in my raw are really minimal defects. The price at launch is quite high, but the performance is very high. Practically perfect weight and dimensions, functional but plastic hood. For me I vote 10.
