Pros: Incredible sharpness, size and weight... and much more.

Cons: I can't find any.

Opinion: I had and appreciated the 12-24 GM, and I was sure that as sharpness it was the sharpest wide-angle zoom at Sony, but this small and very light gem has nothing to envy it. It has no aberrations, it does not vignette even with the comfortable 72mm filters, it has a beautiful star, and mechanically it seems to be built very well. The AF with the A1 is very fast, but I must say that it is also good with the A7RIII. The electric controls, which I use for the first time, I find them really very comfortable. Really cool. The distortion is obviously correct in post, but it does not affect the yield at the edges, always high at all focal lengths. In the center and on almost the entire frame, the sharpness is simply spectacular. In short, I think it's a bit too underrated, probably because many think it's dedicated only to videomakers. But I don't make videos and I find it excellent especially in photography. Last positive note, if you shoot in RAW and process in C1, the 16mm become easily and without loss of sharpness or increase in vignetting and distortion, a little less than 15mm, I would say a lot of stuff. For me I vote 10.

Pros: Weight, price, image quality

Cons: Really no one

Opinion: There was a blatant mistake at Sony with this lens, a weight and size so stupid that they look like those of a toy, yet it is perfect. Don't be fooled by the older brother with the GM writing, I don't see why buy a lens at three times the cost of this jewel when at these focal lengths it is already recommended by manual to shoot closed at least at f4. It allows me to take reportage photos with the weight of an inexpensive prime, go from panoramas at 16m to close-ups at 35. Perfect for landscapes, it doesn't distort, it doesn't do anything, I don't really know what to say, it's always disgustingly sharp. Colors in line with GMs, flare controlled, does not expand when zoomed. If you want to work with a wide lens and not weigh down your backpack and lighten your wallet to be able to say to shoot at f2.8 every now and then, this lens is to be taken without thinking about it for a moment.

Pros: Lightness, sharpness even at the edges, size, does not suffer from coma and chromatic abberations, fast in focusing, silent, diaphragm ring, construction and fixed diaphragm at all focal lengths.

Cons: Nothing for now

Opinion: I bought this lens recently and I have to say that it is a very versatile wide angle of the G series that in fact lacks the M just because it is an F4, it has a scary sharpness even at the edges. I really recommend it for those who don't want to spend too much on a GM but want the same time, a scary sharpness, a good star and reduced in weight and size. Top

Pros: Everything: lightness, sharpness, fixed aperture at all focal lengths

Cons: I didn't find any

Opinion: I had been looking for a long time for a wide-angle lens to mount on my Sony A7c, which was therefore light, but of quality. After reading various reviews and comparisons with the other 16-35 of Sony, I decided and opted for this optics. Purchased used, but as new, it immediately turned out to be a pleasant surprise in every area that I used it, not least inside a cave, yes illuminated, but without a tripod, with an uncertain yield. It satisfied me completely. I now look forward to having the opportunity to use it to photograph the Milky Way, despite its F 4! For the moment for me it is 10 and praise.

Pros: Internal zoom, versatile, excellent quality

Cons: F4?

Opinion: A nice surprise this 16-35 f4, taken to support the 70-200 2.8II with the two multipliers (1.4 and 2x) for mountain hikes where greater versatility and low weight are preferred to fixed optics. Excellent internal zoom, comfortable and with adjustable speed. Lightweight and filterable optics. On the other hand it is not very bright but for landscape photos and some long exposure with the tripod I would say that it is irrelevant. I was a bit doubtful in combination with the sony a7r4 but it gets along very well giving photos of excellent quality. vote 10

Pros: Crazy sharpness, color rendering, perfect AF, iris ring on the lens, super lightweight, Power zoom, size

Cons: If it were a 2.8 it would be a GMaster

Opinion: I use this lens on a7iii and a7iv and it is perfect in everything, even to make very close details the quality is very high, even if it is not stabilized the sensor does a great job and compensates very well, the af used for a night event has never missed a beat and the power zoom then is very comfortable even outside the video scope. So stra recommended.
