I will use it mainly for weddings and interior photos. I must say that I was very undecided between this and the 12-25 GM but thinking about it I made this choice to reduce weight and size and favor greater brightness, I really think I chose well. Pros: Incredible sharpness, I was incredulous when I found super sharp files from side to side already from TA, if you really want to "enjoy" just go between f5.6 and f8, at f8 you reach the total peak, at f11 the diffraction begins to be felt but still remains very sharp and even at f16 despite the diffraction still returns sharp files, I shot quietly in situations where I needed the maximum of the PDC without doing focus stack. In terms of materials I don't think there is any need to talk about it, it is a GM lens, it needs no introduction. Weight and size: since I started photographing a little more seriously, 14mm have always been a problem for me, despite being a focal range that I really like, and if a few years ago someone had told me that sooner or later I could have a 14mm f1.8 that weighs 460g and with this size I would have laughed in his face. This is an engineering masterpiece made in Sony. The only competitor is the Sigma 14mm f1.8 which weighs almost 3 times as much and twice as long. Autofocus: I never thought of using 14mm autofocus, but instead I had to change my mind.
