Pros: Lightweight, generally very sharp, fast AF, excellent construction and excellent value for money

Cons: A few too many flares with strong and direct light; F/5 > 100mm

Opinion: In general: it is a lens built with care and with good materials, of which solidity and robustness are appreciated; it is equipped with multiple switches and buttons; In relation to the focal range it is light and, all in all, not particularly bulky. Sharpness from more than good to excellent (towards longer focal lengths / 350mm loses a little bit, but remains more than good even at the focal length). Fast AF. I find it an excellent lens in relation to cost (watch out for price fluctuations, also important on emblazoned sites). What I don't like: with strong and direct light it suffers from a few too many flares; above 100mm ISO rises quickly because of the aperture F / 5 and, wide side, I would have liked to start from 50mm, but ... It would have been another lens. Would I buy it again? Undoubtedly. Rating 9-9,5.

Pros: good lens, light and powerful and great value for money

Cons: AF not too fast

Opinion: tested on A6600 both for landscape and macro and has a good result, recommended for those who have to wear a light but powerful lens while used on A7RIV full frame non vignette also used on the A7RIV for the macro with extension tubes and closeup lens and has a good yield, obtaining discrete distance and excellent magnification ratio about 2: 1

Pros: Lightness and bulkiness

Cons: Slow autofocus also on Sony (Nex 7), not very suitable for avifauna in flight. Sharpness at high focal lengths not as I expected reading the reviews

Opinion: I was expecting, having read the reviews, something more :( Compared to the vintage lenses I use from 3/400mm (450/600 mm.eq) it is certainly faster in use. However, it is not superior in image definition, (with the same focal length and in optimal shooting conditions) with the Noflexar 400 or the Pentacon 300.

Pros: Sharpness stabilized compact light.... It's a G-series

Cons: For the price and catheters you can't complain so much about the brightness....

Opinion: A very clear objective that is fully exploitable at all focal points, which allows you to make incredible shots even with your free hand, barrel block key, af/mf key, stabilizer key on the body. I've been using it for a very short time on Sony at6000 and I tried it with in-flight raptor shots, it proved fast the autofocus in good light . Quite compact and performing. Obviously in low light conditions try a little .... but I normally use it during the day and I couldn't ask for more....

Pros: Compactness, Image Quality, AF Speed

Cons: A few flares and moiré effect at very high ISO on a6600

Opinion: Taken in place of the 55-210, the lens is well built and exceptionally compact when compared with the new SIGMA 100-400mm with which it does not disfigure at all, but rather... The AF on a6600 is very responsive and accurate, the images are surprisingly sharp. Some flare effects in certain situations and a certain moirè effect, at very high iso have been found. For the rest a surprising lens, with AF/MF keys, On/OF Stabilizer and the programmable G key on the barrel that allow a light setup freeing the other programmable keys of the body. The stabilizer works very well, I managed to take freehand a photo of THURSDAY at 350mm with a time of 1/15s in which it was possible to solve the 4 Galilean satellites with a relatively firm image. I had also tried the Sigma 100-400mm, but on APS-C there is no history for usability (it weighs almost twice as much as it has a much more generous size) and for the quality shown on all comparable focal points.

Pros: All.. Weight, price, performance...

Cons: ... maybe the brightness? Missing the distance selector of the af

Opinion: It's a gem!!! It seems to have a normal 18-135 for reflex, it is large and weighs half of a 100-400, ie 680g!!. It starts to come at a very interesting price. Closed and without a lampshade is almost in your pocket (a pocket of a vest) and weighs nothing, the zoom does not extend even holding it around the neck facing down. The autofocus for sports and photo hunting is valid, also helped by the effectiveness of the sony system and ok also the stabilizer. However, we lack the distance limiter of the autofocus, which could have been there, because the transition from infinity to the minimum distance is not very fast, we are at the level of sigma C, it takes a second, but if the working distance remains similar there are no problems,it goes very well, or in tracking with a6600 does not lose a shot even on small birds. In single AF, however, at sunset he struggles to hook colored clouds or little contrasting mountains, the same thing as the sony 200-600, a feature unfortunately of the mirrorles sony, unlike the d500 that focuses almost in the dark. I tested it right together with the sigma 100-400 (among the sharpest in the category) on d500 and the sony came out winning at all focal points and distances.there is not a huge difference, but it is more engraved and contrasted. At 350mm in the distance it makes better than sigma at 400mm.

Pros: Sharpness. General image quality.

Cons: Price and footprint (although there are much more expensive goals, but I speak as a non-professional)

Opinion: I'm not a professional in the industry. They gave me this lens that took the place of the 50-210 that I used on my a6000. A little scared by the weight (over 600 gr) but you get used to it, of course, the previous one was definitely more practical, but as a quality it is totally of another level. Remarkable sharpness, which allowed me to make high quality shots on the a6000, even at 350 mm of focal (for animals etc). I can't wait to test it on the a6400. Overall, I didn't see any weaknesses.
