Pros: For years the unique camera what can capture clear moments in the night.

Cons: Sometimes slow focus.

Opinion: Unique camera for night and low lights conditions no flash use clear moment photography just to do that you have to understand this kind of photography made the right settings and have the right lens ...because in low lights moment photography not always will be the best the wide aperture lens ...in some situations will be surprised one f/4.0 lens will do the magic and one f/1.4 will fail :)

Pros: File that churns out, lightness, high yield iso., tropicalization.

Cons: Af (old but abb decent), drums

Opinion: I took it back (I had several sony) to accompany my 6600. because I missed his files.. If you do not print giant photos a7s with the 12mpx enough and advances. For night photography even today it is phenomenal. For landscapes and portraits it is ideal colors and awb excellent. Its flaws given the age are the battery that lasts little and af that is decent but with big limitations. (comparison with 6600) If you take sports photos or fast-moving people it is not the car x you but in the landscape and in the portrait it will not disappoint you.

Pros: Professional tropicalized camera body, quality shots and videos (1080p) even at high ISO, lightness, excellent ergonomics and customization keys, excellent manual focus mode even for third-party lenses (with adapter), good viewfinder and LCD screen, fairly precise autofocus even in low light, wireless

Cons: Autofocus only contrast, burst slow shots, battery not very durable (but sufficient), no 4k video in the car, 12mpx (if you need more). Non-stabilized sensor

Opinion: Socket used with only 9000 shots taken and with attached two lenses ..... at a price I couldn't refuse... That said, the camera is really good for photo quality at high and low ISO and for 1080p videos, still current today after almost 10 years since its release. Professional camera body (you feel it immediately when you pick it up) with good customization possibilities, good quality viewfinder and good LCD. I really like the ergonomics of the machine and I find everything quickly by customizing what I need. Autofocus only in contrast and without two thousand focus points :), excellent manual focus mode, exposure meter always rather precise. The megapixels are "only" 12 (enough for me) and the burst is rather slow, but this camera is not made for photographic hunting and is declared and known. The best of if it is notoriously at high ISO where sometimes (exposing well of course) is impressive. Good dynamic range. If you are looking for a machine to make street, photos at high ISO, portraiture, landscape and excellent movies (really remarkable) at 1080p, this is still the machine for you ... For photo hunting and if you need a lot of megapixels, look for more.

Pros: High ISO management (you buy it for that), very small and handy, tropicalized, used price

Cons: Not stabilized, sometimes the WB goes about its business, but I always shoot in raw so ..

Opinion: I've had this camera body for about ten days and I'm having a lot of fun "playing" it in extreme situations where I wouldn't have thought of shooting with another body. I also used it with vintage optics a bit 'dark like the 135 Enna Munchen and the results are very satisfactory, In pp with 25 points of noise reduction and resizing to 5000 px side along the photos are widely usable for any amateur purpose. Purchased from a juzino at 350 euros, body VERY lived and marked, and then I realized that it has the sensor marked by a laser (if you read me you could also tell me! I would have taken the same) I think it is perfect for a carefree evening street. I'm using it with the scarce but compact fifty, but I think that with a 35 in front it is really unbeatable for price performance ratio. Look in my folder "Old deadbolts" some shots without any artistic pretense, but that makes the idea

Pros: Overall rendering of very natural image, weight, dimensions, low light rendering, awb, jpeg in the room, focus peaking, evf, lcd screen, well-organized and logical menu (put the English language, in Italian it is unusable)

Cons: Single sd slot, not very durable battery. I would like to see level and histogram at the same time.

Opinion: Taken to have a full frame digital body at a low price and with a non-dense sensor to take with me together with my 135 format film cameras, adapting the m42 lenses that I use on the latter. The aim is to be able to shoot in light conditions that are prohibitive for the film or to be able to share some shots on the fly. Great buy. Pleasant image rendering, without digital excesses, excellent performance with vintage optics given the low density of the sensor, also excellent yield at high ISO. Very usable thanks to focus peaking and with good jpegs. Dimensions and minimal weight. Good evf and good lcd. I, who do not like Bayer sensors, did not regret the choice, thanks to the yield given by only 12 MP, which I bless without hesitation. I can't judge af and light meter because I don't use them.

Pros: Weight, ISO, Full HD Video

Cons: No stabilization, ergonomics, battery life

Opinion: I needed a machine mainly for full hd videos and lately there are several a7s at much more affordable prices. if the intention is to stop you at full hd I think it is one of the best, XACV-S format at 50MB excellent and easily workable, with very customizable profiles in range, color etc...; from a photographic point of view accustomed to nikon bodies (currently writing I have nikon d3s) there is no history (ergonomics, battery life, general use of the machine) so I just consider the aspects of sensor yield good from iso 100 up to 12 thousand, colors and overall excellent yield.

Pros: Excellent performance in both photos and videos, featherweight, 12MP, ISO high hold

Cons: ergonomics (especially the front wheel, even if you get used to it over time), battery life, a little slow in ignition

Opinion: Bought used last October for 700 euros, including 4 batteries and battery grip Meike. In fact, after so many years you find really good deals for the A7s! I love this little camera. The 12MP for me is more than good since I am an amateur photographer and I do not have to make great prints. In any case, although it is not the A7RIV, I love the resolution of the images it gives! I use it with satisfaction for portraits, landscapes, astros and macros, always shooting in RAW (I can't comment on JPEGs). In the video, there is nothing to say, a real beast, with autofocus ranging from god (with sony 28mm and samyang 18mm). Also, with the right lenses, it doesn't really weigh anything. The only complaints I have are, as other users specified, the battery life (I have to carry at least two when I go out), and the ergonomics of the wheel in front, really jammed in a strange way forcing you to rub your index finger on the camera rather than on the wheel... but I got used to it. For me I vote 8.5/10

Pros: Dimensions, weight, dynamic range, image quality, ISO management, full frame

Cons: Immediate menu, ergonomics, AWB, not from the impression of being very robust, ergonomics, price

Opinion: I have this interesting car for a few months and I feel able to give a fairly true judgment (I am amazed and smiling every time I read reviews of people who have the subject reviewing only for a couple of days or a week. Ridiculous!). The machine and especially its sensor are striking. His "few" mpxs are enough and advance to do virtually everything. Those 12mpx take pictures with a great detail, with a striking dynamic range, with a chance to recover remarkable shadows and with the possibility of making substantial crops as well. High ISO management is proverbial but this one knows! The beautiful A7s ISO management is that up to 12800/25600 more or less makes it like any other full frame of quality. But from those thresholds that the A7s surprise! I do a lot of nighttime street and I'm fine at time priority with the shutter speed locked to 1/125 or 1/80 and the ISO automatic control is free to range from 200 to 102000! RnThe things that I pThere is little of this machine AWB that often reads light in a senseless manner (usually with artificial light and with large apertures of diaphragm), ergonomics that is really uncomplicated, the robustness that does not seem to me great and the price I think High.rnI feel disagree with who defines the JPEGs of this ingenable sensor. Surely the A7s are not from JPEG files like those of the Fuji system but are still good and workable. Just spend a few more pp days and get good results. Its lightweight files move over wi-fi in a moment and work fast. I do not agree with those who complain about a low battery life. If we compare it to other mirrorless we are on average. Indeed, perhaps even better than other brands. With its AF system I can not speak because I use it only with manual targets and for this very reason I can say that the peaking focus of this Sony is certainly better than that of other EVFs of other brands. Manually focus on large apertures in a careful manner and in a short time it is not affDifficult act. Just a little workout. The car is, in my opinion, a bit slow in general. When you turn on, in displaying your photos, in displaying the menu and also in switching off but nothing tragic. You are comfortable with this small defect. Overall it is a machine that I feel advisable if it is used and in good condition. Vote 9rnMax

Pros: Image quality and high ISO- reduced draft - 12 mpx - capture one

Cons: no BSI sensor (for some wide-angle lenses with reduced draft) - not at the top ergonomics and improved menu - always on screen - Lack native ISO below 100

Opinion: Introduction: The use especially with optics with Leica R and M attack with Novoflex adapter (all manual) and use the Lumix GX8 if I want a greater crop (in practice with the Tele and Macro). I will not comment size, image quality, native optical park, AF and video department because the network can find a lot of information or because they do not use those functions. I chose A7 between all this because that offering me a better ISO range, and the right amount of megapixel (as I wrote for crop use the GX8). I set up the machine with a time priority so as to set a minimum time for the objectives, the diaphragm imposed by the lens to suit my needs and I'll leave it all to the machine with automatic ISO (automatic set from 100 to 51,000 , the quality remains quite good), day minimum automatic ISO 100 ISO is a bit 'little, so maybe I would have sacrificed a bit high iso for 50 native ISO (ISO 25 or native + sensor stabilization .. .sarebbe l'ideal). Thanks to the few megapixel able to better manage certain goals with short focal designed for the film, a BSI sensor still improve by this aspect, making it almost perfect. The keys are well customizable, I really appreciate the C1 key position with the ability to zoom in to be able to better focus on the selected area (though before enlarge indeed there are many steps to do and everything is not so immediate), I would like the thread in the shutter button to shoot remotely "the old way" as in Fuji, ergonomics in general has been improved in the new version so no comment. The menu is a bit 'badly organized and poorly studied how to turn pages, too bad the lack intervalometer option, however great the possibility to add apps that expands a lot of possibilities (there is also a paid interval series) . Looking good in the menu, you encounter itlla of the shutter silent voice, the fact that it is completely electronic and does not emit the slightest noise can make stay a little disoriented but once used is very convenient in certain situations; remit the mechanical pull-down when I do portraits so as to "warn" the / the model / or when I shoot. Very annoying is it impossible to turn off the screen because it is annoying when you do the night, and because it consumes battery (which already does not last much). JPEG of the car are not the best (dull colors and at the same time burns bright colors), I as workflow except in Raw (preview in black and white to put in fire easily) and amount in C1 to have very good results (without further processing), I recommend anyone to download, while it is free for sony. Another thing they could improve without too much effort are the batteries, if there were asymmetric less chance to put them on the wrong side in the battery compartment;)All small things but they do, in my opinion, an incomplete product even if good

Pros: Size and weight, sensor quality, image and ISO, shutter including electronic, file workability, autofocus even in the dark.

Cons: Battery life, not being able to set a minimum time for ISO auto.

Opinion: Use for about a year and a half this machine and only in photography. This A7s the first thing that struck me was the quality of the sensor, despite "only" 12mp in my opinion provides good results, not to mention dynamic range and ISO that are out of the ordinary. I find it a perfect machine for those who want to use compact type Leica M lenses, or fixed in the light system, and quality. Nonostrante AF is a speed demon fails however to focus even in very low light situations, plus the electronic viewfinder with the manual focus is easy and fast, you just need a little 'hand. Another gem is the fully electronic shutter, you can shoot without making a sound in certain situations it is very useful, more thanks to the ISO seal and image quality in low-light situations where you need discretion allows you to shoot without flash, so avoid being noticed and annoy the present, and without getting the clasphysical image spiattelata from light stroke. I believe that this medium is very underrated photographic use, perhaps for 12mp that still are more than enough for almost all types of use, and in A2 press have an awesome detail.

Pros: High ISO, dynamic range, lightness, ergonomics, video quality, viewfinder, autofocus.

Cons: 4k output only at 30P, little logical menu, ISO management in s-log2

Opinion: I work with this machine flanked by a sony a7m2 and in spite of its video nature and the sensor from only 12 mp the photographic quality is remarkable. With such a dynamic range and the ability to work at high ISO, you can take incredible photos that you could not do with any other car in the world, except for the Canon and Nikon flagships. Like a digital camera, it has a sensor so rich in details, moreover a ff, which suggests that something much more expensive is in hand. If you film in uncompressed hd at 50p with raw zeiss lenses or top-of-the-line FE, you can easily spin the Iron Throne and broadcast it on Sky. Too bad the 4k output does not support 50P. It has a lot of profiling, maybe too many, and the sony s-log2 is sometimes very good and some disappointing. Setting the picture profile in s-log2 will have details everywhere but work at a minimum ISO of 3200, a bit too much in certain lighting situations. The image is stunning and up to 12800 ISO but still more than acceptable even at 51200. Autofocus excellent thanks to the reading system that allows you to putYou were almost always in focus. Clearly for those who take pure photography or still life, the 12 mp sensor is scarce. rnOnce to strong whites and if you want to see the pure quality of this machine you have to wait for the late afternoon or always look for shade or interior areas. In full sun at ISO 100 the image quality is excellent on video but very contrasted in photos and scarsina. As soon as you climb above ISO 1600 or work in shadow or light blue areas on horseback or in the city at night, this sony a7 really does wonders. But you have to have a lot of experience as dop and manage the light well, a small error in the exposure is not forgiven by its extremely sensitive sensor.

Pros: Image quality functions at the top iso stratospheric

Cons: For 4k serve additional accessories and very expensive.

Opinion: Purchased used with an already excellent FE 35mm f / 2.8, I wanted to combine a nice FE 35 / 1.4 and I must say that I am both thrilled with the photos with the video, a pleasure for occhi.La find really a great product :-), then with the more than 400 000 ISO do photos and videos virtually in the dark without the use of lamps or flash.rnPeccato for 4k that can not be turned without additional external hardware.

Pros: Image quality-ease-compatibility

Cons: calibration of monitor-viewfinder-computer ...

Opinion: I bought this camera to be attached to the Canon 5M2.Sono amazed the overall image quality and technology that helps a lot ... will also help targets that use Leica, but as soon as I can sell all the equipment Canon and I take even a a7II with some Zeiss auto-focus because compared to the Canon is much lighter, and also qualitatively think that Canon will now have to catch up to Sony ... let alone a few years and you will see! Then with the manual focus, as I use it now I'm rediscovering the pleasure to frame and thinking about the result, before taking ... A feast for the eyes!
