Pros: lightness and compactness, portability, amazing colors in videos, beautiful workable RAW, eternal battery, AF

Cons: No joystick, monitor extendable only horizontally, Low ISO resistance, sensor that deactivates the monitor when we use the viewfinder

Opinion: My very first camera, very light with batteries that last a lot (almost 2000-2500 shots regardless of the percentage), excellent video quality and beautiful colors once you get out of the camera (for fast videos you don't even need color correction, amazing), super editable 23/25 MB RAW and JPEG not too heavy with beautiful colors. Impeccable sony autofocus during the day, with fatigue at night. ISO that during the day can go down to 80, while already around 6400 you can notice a lot of noise, and you can hear the flaw of the APS-C sensor. After years of sports photography I really miss the Joystick, which is why I am buying one dedicated exclusively to photography, and keep this a6600 for videos and spare body. Finally, a problem that I don't know if it's related to the firmware, but the sensor that deactivates the monitor when we put the eye in the viewfinder works really badly, leaving the monitor on and clickable via touch from the cheek; a problem that led me to the almost total disuse of the viewfinder. At the end of the day a great camera body for the price of € 800/900 at which it is used, super versatile.

Pros: Lightness, pocketability, software, battery life, eyepiece all on the left, customization and optics.. and the integrated stabilizer that lightens the optics even in terms of cost!

Cons: I state that I do not make films in a pretentious way. The front wheel is easy to press by mistake.

Opinion: Forced to lighten the load because of the tennis elbow he had to change my beloved 7,500 Nikon with the Sony in particular I found the 6,600. The seller had warned me that it was a bit of a complex machine and that understanding it right away would be complicated. Actually, given my previous job as a camera repairer, I immediately accepted the challenge. I immediately liked everything about this machine despite the complexity but with the help of the operating manual I gradually solved all my doubts. The thing that amazed me the most was the ability of the software to fix even your mistakes so that the photo always looks better than you set it. As a result, post-production is almost irrelevant, there are few things to correct and so even today, after a good six months, I am appreciating it one hundred percent.

Pros: AF, weight and dimensions, stabilizer, battery.

Cons: joystick missing, shutter at 1/4000

Opinion: Handyman machine with an af that does not miss a shot (animal human eye recognition). Its compactness the low weight of both the camera body and the apsc lenses make it ideal for all types of photography (my back thanks). Good hold iso up to 6400 and the ability to put iso 50 64 that in the landscape and portrait is important when there is a lot of light. The battery lasts an infinity you can also forget at home the spare one. The only drawbacks of this machine are the 1/4000 shutter speed and the lack of a joystick.

Pros: Size, Weight, AF, construction, sensor, stabilizer; FZ100 batteries

Cons: Inevitably the dimessione compromise ergonomics and what follows, Rolling shutter, stabilizer

Opinion: Let's start with the cons. The machine is small and consequently the keys, grip and position of the viewfinder are not as comfortable as in other machines of other brands. The viewfinder is definitely mediocre. If I am not mistaken, the sensor is the same as the other A6XXX and like the others it suffers in a rather marked way from rolling shutter forcing very often to use the mechanical shutter. The pros are however many starting from a really good AF. I shot with the 200-600 multiplied by 1.4 and I must say that I have a very high focus photo rating. If the small size is an ergonomic problem, it is also a great advantage in terms of weight and dimensions. Combined with the 18-50 sigma that I own (or similar) you have an instrument with great potential with minimal weight and dimensions. The feeling in the hand is of a solid and well-made instrument that can last over time (construction completely different from the other A6XXX that I had the opportunity to try). The sensor although dated I must say that it remains great even by today's standards. The files have excellent chances of recovering lights and shadows and associated with valid lenses gives sharp and rich shots (for the 24mpx available). The stabilizer helps on many occasions but as proven in other sony machines it does not seem on par with the competition. The ZF100 battery allows you to shoot quietly for a whole day (easily 700-800 shots) and is a huge step forward compared to previous models. Last thing the iso seal that I found good but not exceptional and that does not differ much from what has been seen in other A6XXX models. In conclusion, a good machine that becomes excellent for all those who need something more to capture especially dynamic scenes.

Pros: Fantastic image quality.., autofocus, battery, size

Cons: Viewfinder a little small, optical unlock button, size, autofocus sensitivity with little light. Rather weak stabilization, standard jpeg all too sharp and saturated, battery compartment doors and charging cable do not close automatically

Opinion: Bearing in mind that this is Sony's flagship APSC, there are some unacceptable things in my opinion. 1) the button to unlock the lens and change the lens is shamefully uncomfortable and impractical, forces very slow and difficult changes using both hands and forcing you to place the parts to detach, change and then hang up 2) small and a little too artificial viewfinder 3) autofocus sensitivity with little light up to - 1 EV, unacceptable for a flagship apsc designed for sporty and action use That said, the machine still pays off great by providing a fantastic image quality that at low ISO has nothing to envy to FF.. In fact, in my opinion it is better than my Canon 6D ( characteristic of sony/Nikon 24mpx and 20 mpx sensors, so even my other Nikon d7500 churns out sharper and richer images of the 6d) The sensor mounted on the sony still remains superior to that mounted on Nikon, despite the filter.. Captured detail and iso seal are slightly higher, thanks also to sony's VERY valid objectives, and those of third parties for sony. In addition, you can make some really remarkable crops. For my taste, however, the "look" of the image is a little too "articial" "electric"... I fear modern mirrorless features, which have reached such a high level of sharpness and contrast at the expense of a loss of naturalness and "pasty". I don't know if I explained myself... Autofocus is a goduria.. Fast, precise, reliable. It suffers a little if the light conditions are very poor and the scene is little contrasted. Actually he never gave me any problems during sporting events and photo hunting, but it is a fact, and represents an important problem especially for landscape photography .. if there is little light and little contrast it struggles to focus on the landscape, often and willingly does not hook up at all. The battery is infinite.. I've never been able to get to the bottom of it and be without it, which happens to me more or less frequently with reflex canon and nikon. And I've never used USB charging during use.. The car is very small and light, a small box, which is on the one hand an advantage, because it is practically in the pocket of a vest with 18-135, and in the other pocket there is a medium canvas, the Samyang 12mm and the sigma 30mm are in the pocket of the short pants.... On the other hand it is a defect because the grip is not optimal and for example in sports photography it is a disadvantage. I have to say, however, that my Olympus Em1 ii with 12-60 2.8/4 is much lighter than the A6600 with 18-135. I find all the keys very intuitive and comfortable, many of which, not to say all, are customizable to sew it on you at will, and this is a great value. The menu needs to be studied well, it is complex but very rich. The materials with which it is built are discreet, but in my opinion it is not bombproof and marks easily. The battery counter does not dock automatically, which is rather uncomfortable. The digital indication of focus distance in MF is useful, but I would also have preferred a focus magnification greater than 11x. Stabilisation lags behind the competition. It is absolutely not the 5 /5.5 stops declared, but at most 2.5 stops... The more optical dual machine stabilization barely balances the best stabilizations of reflex optics. That is about 4 stops

Pros: Battery life, sensor stabilization, burst and fear autofocus and dulcis at the bottom held at high iso

Cons: commands and decidedly small viewfinder keys not up to par and lack of flash

Opinion: But who said that they serve the FF when there are beasts like my a6600 that combo with the 16 55 f2.8 and the 70 350 4.5 6.3 photographer of everything and more with stratospheric quality and especially with weights and human costs or almost... I don't want to make controversy and everyone is free to think it as he wants but if he doesn't get it right the FF a reason there will also be meditated people meditated

Pros: Speed and precision AF, 11 fps gust, RAW file quality, Battery life, compactness and ergonomics, Construction Quality, Good ISO Seal, Stabilizer Presence, Reversible Screen

Cons: Price, viewfinder and display improveable, Rec button in uncomfortable position, lack of built-in flash, rolling shutter

Opinion: I've done all the Sony draw at5000, a6000, a6300, a6500 and often shoot with A7III. Already the 6500 I considered it a semi-professional if not professional, this new Top APS-C I consider it a full-fledged professional, also considering that now in the House Sony you have two new optical performances such as the 16-55f2.8 and the 70-350mm OSS that complete the system. Compared to the already good at 6500 the Autofocus has been further improved in both precision and possibilities, in particular the eye focus no longer has uncertainties. Even on the ISO seal, although it is said, especially on video has improved. The desired improvements on the 3 limits of the a6500 1)Battery life increased from 350 to 800 clicks, 2) The 30-minute recording limit was eliminated, 3) Added reversible screen for Vloggers. The menu has also been improved by adding an entire section of customizations. Convenient to add another function key. The body now has a more generous grip, all for the benefit of ergonomics and is also tropicalized. The insertion of generously sized optics, such as 70-350mm or 18-105mm, no longer returns that feeling of imbalance or insecurity. It was not enough. I have the opportunity to compare it often to the A7III and there are increasingly rare cases where there are noticeable differences between the two cameras. In fact, an upgrade that would now allow for an appreciable improvement of the IQ is represented only by the 42Mpx onwards, and therefore by the A7R3 to rise. It is true that the R2 has a better IQ, but it is outclassed in AF and burst by the a6600. The Sony APS-C system is now very mature and has a truly complete range of optics, considering that all recent FF optics are perfectly performing in APS-C. It was desirable to improve the stabilizer that remained unchanged from the a6500, as well as the rolling shutter that remains present exactly as for all younger sisters. In short, the a6600 is a professional compact with many quality optics available in the Sony, Sigma, Zeiss, Samyang, Tamron, etc. catalogs without the need for disliked adapters.

Pros: Performance, size, battery life

Cons: Price? Aim still too small and "artificial"

Opinion: This review does not apply to professors and super professionals, I am a chicken who writes for other chickens, if there were any... It's the most snubbed and mist mirrorless ever due to the price-performance ratio... But it is the first mirrorless that happens to me in my hands, used together with the D500, the difference in weight and size is abysmal, both as a body and as an optic. The sony menu that scared me so much (to hear all the negative opinions) doesn't really make me any problem... I came from d500 (which I still have), a machine lady, and I was hesitants of the mirrorless system... But I had to think again... The autofocus is out of its mind... Eye AF, point coverage, pursuit, flexibility... I haven't tried it at night yet, but on all other occasions I've found it "better" than the d500, including sports photos. I did two rallies (Brands and Valleys) and a bit of photo hunting and lots of tests at home on tripods in manual focus with similar objectives sony sigma and Nikon for the two systems, and the files that come out are always more beautiful, at least in my eyes. The jpeg are much more detailed and rich, with raw the difference is thinned but always in favor of sony, both for the 24mpx sensor and for the optics, especially with the typical telephoto lenses in the range of 70-300 /100-400 /200-600, which are better than the competition. The iso seal is I would say identical to the D500. Maximum limit 6400 iso,pp experts will manage to recover well, but the noise is still quite evident and a chicken like me does not do so much. The battery life is fantastic, pretty much like the d500, maybe better. Compared to the D500 pays a smaller and less natural viewfinder, which is activated only when you put the eye on it, so with a very slight delay that makes you lose shots in birds and fast sports, something that I find ridiculous in 2020 for a top of the range dedicated precisely to the sport.si can solve by putting the duct tape on the sensor of the crosshairs. In addition, taking from the viewfinder practically in the dark the d500 still hooks, while the sony does not. The speed with which you operate with a d500 is still a bit higher, even as immediacy of use. The d500 just turn it on and in less than a moment you aim and part machine gun (with a shooting noise however really "exaggerated" in comparison to sony) A6600 is a nice toy. But probably right now it's worth taking an a6400 that costs a lot less.also the stabilizer (reason I chose it) does not convince me much, we are around 3 stops. Professionals and many partisan enthusiasts will tell you that this review is rubbish. But I see them at sporting events and on other occasions covered in equipment, sweaty, clumsy, with heavy backpacks, with machine bodies that resemble prehistoric tanks, and I too was put like them, even in my treks... With sony I carry with just a pouch or at the limit a backpack, I seem to have nothing on me and runs away laughing, then at home unloading the photos, for example after the rally val d'orcia, Nikon d500 with 18-140 and a6600 with 18-135, the results speak for themselves... Then I download the photos of the photo hunt and the long-distance test with d500 and sigma 100-400 /60-600 against a6600 with 70-350 and 200-600, and to the pleasant surprise the sony telephotos clearly prevail over those her competitors... The extra-council in combination 70-350!

Pros: Weight, autofocus speed, stabilizer.

Cons: Pro-expensive lenses, cumbersome menu.

Opinion: I come from the a6300 and previously from Canon 6D. Compared to the 6300 it acquires a responsive af, the articulated display, the stabilizer and ultra-performing battery. Qualitatively we are at the same level regarding photo department (I do not make videos ). I still lack pro lenses to make the most of it, which at the moment costs an exaggeration. I think it will be my ultimate camera as I arrive from the FullFrames that, guaranteed on the iso side superior performance but the weight gained penalized them (in my specific case). For those who like to travel light or have back pain problems is the most appropriate solution. The Fuji antagonist is much heavier.

Pros: I assume that I use it only for birds and as a second machine body : Autofocus speed !!!! , hook to the subject, iso hold, APS-C 24.2 Mpxl with single pixel size of 3.89micron, excellent dynamic range, same battery of the top range, weight, 11 FPS, well built and tropicalized.

Cons: Solution sight not excelled but bearable , not really "beautiful" but if the results there little I care, menu in the style Sony everything to learn.

Opinion: Recommended as a second machine body to be flanked by a Sony F.F. when you need handling and greater extension of focal. With mounted the Sony 100 400 without tripod support (useless in the free hand ) the weight is only 1.8 kg. !! Due to the Sony menu that I consider "very" atricolated it is necessary to preset some buttons to speed up the changes of settings suitable for the different shooting situation. Opinion update : after installing new firmware the speed in AF is notevolmete increased

Pros: file quality, video compartment, excellent af, stabilizer, battery life

Cons: Lack of flash (not terrible but sometimes you wish it had it), display small 3" but 16/9, small viewfinder, 24 mp when now competition has exceeded this size. it would have been nice to have high resolution shot as on A7RIV.

Opinion: In the pros and cons I think I summed up my thoughts on this machine. it's certainly not the best in its category but it's among those. my dream is to have an HDR in Raw, as well as the night shot without tripod, the high resolution free hand as olympus... but you will get there. In essence it is a great machine, improved the Jpeg for those who do not want to postproduce. Maybe video lovers might dispute a bit of rolling shutter, but it has video settings for editing more than satisfying. And record battery life category! Anyone who buys it maybe at a price close to 1000-1100 euros is satisfied.

Pros: And an APS-C I know and hard to think of a non-full frame machine that is PRO in my professional opinion to pretty much everything I come from an A7 III full frame

Cons: Only thing not to flash photograph up close and a problem

Opinion: My opinion sony to taken a step forward, beautiful bought today 20-02-2020 I use it for practically everything, it does not overheat the younger sisters, the video makers will be happy, shortly posterior photos on the site take to the field with the new sony 6600, the I would buy again beautiful light and manageable, this and my first impression then on the field you will see,
