sent on 30 Gennaio 2017 Pros: Opening, build quality, color rendition, sharpness. Cons: Inaccurate autofocus (but with calibration is fine). Opinion: Purchased used to 210 € for a standard of canon 80d, I much prefer to 50cc for images that makes me. Suffered very beginning of the classic front / back focus randomly, but then calibrating it with FOCAL program is now also clear to TA. I use it for both portrait (I find it more clearly the canon 50) for landscape / architecture and the latter very often at night. The blur is pleasant despite not having a perfectly circular bokeh. A used purchase definitely recommended for the price / quality of construction / yield
sent on 03 Giugno 2016 Pros: Focal "normal" on APSC, ultrasonic motor, construction quality, bright, price handyman, sharpness Cons: I have not encountered it. You could say that is not for full frame, but you know at the time of purchase. Opinion: Bought second-hand for the ridiculous sum of 200 Euros and mounted on D300, for the price that I got it I was incredibly surprised by the quality of this light, I expected it was very soft at 1.4 instead focus parts are extremely sharp this is a huge advantage for a superbright because it allows to use it serenely at room temperature (that is the reason why you buy certain optical), it is soft and fuzzy "off" plans wonderfully. From its best in ambientati portraits in my opinion, both the focal length for the plans dividend capacity. LA Build quality is that of Sigma EX, so solid, massive, extremely fluid ring, only flaw the sigma tires that tend to clear with use. Autofocus is not instantaneous but engages well, I read that someone complained, however, also depends on the autofocus module of the machine on which it is mounted on the barrel D300 hardly even at TA, instead of D80, for example, at room temperature withthe side is unusable, but obviously does not depend dall'obiettivo.rnAlle digits to which it is used (200-250) is absolutely a best buy. exceptional value for money.
sent on 18 Novembre 2015 Pros: f / 1.4, focal, build quality Cons: none for me, maybe not very light, but we are talking about small goals Opinion: Since the 'I bought (second hand) I really struggled to remove it from the camera. I had got on well with the Canon 50ino mom, my only experience of fixed lens, but I felt a bit 'long, being on aps-c. A 30mm (48mm then "real") instead of the focal length is perfect. L 'lens works very well to TA, the blur is very pleasant; closing by f / 4 and up get a good sharpness, perfect when you climb around f / 8. In my opinion it is also of high quality color rendering.
sent on 06 Novembre 2015 Pros: Excellent focal (better than 35 dk Nikkor which still feels too tight); Closed to f. 8 - f. 9 is ultranitous; Bokeh very pleasing to all opening; Very solid and "important" construction; Nice colors. Cons: Only discrete autofocus for speed and precision; Sometimes inaccurate MAF with relative photos not perfectly focused; Opinion: It gives the feeling (very nice) to have a "real" and very "pro" objective in the hand, exactly the opposite of what happens to the 35 Nikkor 1.8 dx, which I own, which, in the face of the first, looks like a plastic cap : Fine lightness, but not Yogurt jars in front of the reflex :-); The overall yield is very good, worthy of note and consistent with a fixed optic of this opening! Large apertures in some situations (but not in all and not always!) Give a somewhat "bleak" effect, that is, it almost seems It is super-soft, but not in fact, just the colors are not so contrasted and decided as it did when it "closed" a little the diaphragm: the overall yield, however, is very pleasing, even af ??1.4 where The optic is fully usable and enjoyable! RnIo, personally, if I take such a view of the genus is to use it often and willingly proThis opening! RnDo use f.8, f9, type for landscape photos, it becomes ultra-slim and always maintains a nice bokeh (obviously less blurred): never seen anything like that with other fixed ones I possess! RnThe autofocus works in So we can say ... questionable: on some occasions, even in full light, it is difficult to "take" the subject, and sometimes on some occasions (NEVER, though) the focus is not accurate: obviously there is It can be seen more clearly than when it is a little closed (NB: it is not a front back focus problem, because it does not always do so, say, on average, 1 out of 3); rn this soft side So much I complained, honestly, I did not notice it so clearly, ... As far as the 35 1.8 g dx, which I also possessed and used, in my opinion is a pelin underneath the render of color, but I consider it more opaque "Correct" as it distorts less: paradoxically, while having a field angle more Ù Wide and getting more involved with this problem, the portraits are better with the sigma 30 than with the nikkor 35; finally: if you find it at 160-170 or even 180 euros, buy it with your eyes closed, you will not regret it!
sent on 29 Ottobre 2013 Pros: 1.4 and tridimensionalitàrn Cons: Finish Sigma, SIN ONLY DX (35 sigma has just come out), the af in video mode on D 7000 does not go ... and the normal af should however be calibrated for each individual machine. I would have liked a working distance a tad bit less than say 35 to 30 cm that would give him a little arrow more ... Opinion: L 'I took my son when he arrived ... needless to say we are so fond of hand, if the subject is not too much to one side gives great shots, fuzzy creamy, excellent tonal passages, little dominant, not to mention the movie full hd, but .. c 'is a but ..... is not the optics to look for pixels, out of 10, 12 0 16 mp see little difference ........ but probably an optical portrait should be so ... rnPrima of this' optical I had never considered this focal length, I must say that to 1.4, clearly flying over the resolution, it returns an excellent three-dimensional .. the subject comes out well .. well well, in video then ... which made me think about what could give a perspective on FX so .. His Majesty 35 afs 1.4.rnIn recommended short, but today, on DX, would estimate even the little nikon 35 1.8 afs.
sent on 21 Ottobre 2013 Pros: perfect focus, quality 'construction, closed and' crystal clear Cons: Autofocus is not precise, sharpness at f1.4-1.6, severe softness at the sides and edges up to f4 - f5. Opinion: I do not particularly love this lens, for the 'autofocus is not always accurate and the total lack of sharpness at the edges at wide apertures, and I speak not only under the f2 (which could also be understandable), but also closing at 2.8, the sides remain scarce. It 'a lens when used outdoors, the subject has to be centered, and then gives great blurry and good sharpness central, but to have a clear frame is laterally closed a lot. There 'to say that f5 and' really a knife and fears no comparison with anyone. Pero 'remains a lens lame in my opinion.
sent on 30 Giugno 2013 Pros: Brightness', Defocused, weight and size, Sharpness prepunched, Endowment Cons: Rigid plastics to the touch, AF is not fast to be ultrasonic aberrations at full aperture Opinion: Focal useful on APS-C, and 'a great lens in relation to the current price (300 € scarce). Net opening f1.4, allows creative shots and one blurred smooth and soft (very far from the canon 50 f1.8). RNLA sharpness and 'acceptable to TA, it becomes very good closing a couple of stops. The af and 'precise in my copy but the speed' and not 'to the level of USM Canon (30mm not' so fundamental) but it 's still higher goals with the engine tradizionale.rnSi noticed several aberrations in TA in the light: need a lot of tweaking to eliminate them. The problem is not known and closing with light omogenea.rnEsteticamente and 'a bell'obbiettivo but the plastics are very hard and give the impression of creak. The construction and 'still good, with the focus ring to focus well braked and homogeneous in the movement. Good hood and excellent storage. At the current price, and 'a good buy for a fixed short bright enough for indoor and of good quality'.
sent on 04 Aprile 2013 Pros: fast and accurate, bright, beautiful blurred Cons: is a bit 'heavy Opinion: I have this lens for several years and did not give it away for nothing. I find it really great. Some say it is faint at maximum aperture. Let's say that perhaps there is a lens to its maximum aperture is as clear as you would want to, not the L series of Canon is not. I own Canon 24-70 2.8f but for the price that does not work better than the Sigma. This is very fast in focusing where other objective are not.
sent on 25 Marzo 2013 Pros: bright, solid, small Cons: sharp only from f / 4 onwards Opinion: is a bell'obiettivo I tried for a couple of settmiane.rnHa a great blur especially if you open a little. ' The real drawback is that until you close f / 4 makes photos a bit 'soft. rnIl price in my opinion is if you plan on making videos. If you take it only for photos best classic 50ino that even worse, it is really for two pennies.
sent on 27 Febbraio 2013 Pros: Focal comfortable with APS-C, brightness, construction, equipment, AF a bit 'noisy but accurate. Cons: Slightly noisier than the AF motor all'USM Canon. Opinion: Past the dreaded test the accuracy of the focus, I'm enjoying this view. Highly flexible thanks to the generous aperture and focal length, gives shots razor sharp and defined, all at an affordable price. Excellent supplied lens hood and bag, even the good. Construction, for sure when the lens of my favorite outfit, recommended!!
sent on 20 Febbraio 2013 Pros: Report aperture / price, focal length compared to the smaller size. Cons: Since my copy focuses precisely I have not found cons. Opinion: It would be superfluous to repeat the comments that preceded me years and from whom I have gained confidence to buy, I will only confirm! RnSpendo two words to the versatility of this focal currently I made the outfit with a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, and only this to plug the hole that is 16 to 70mm.rnNon absolutely feel the lack of zoom across that I can handle with better satisfaction by choosing the trigger point.
sent on 09 Febbraio 2013 Pros: Focal length, brightness, sharpness already at room temperature, equipment, pleasing bokeh Cons: The usual home Sigma chance to run into problems with a copy of AF, only optical camera APS-C Opinion: I have this lens for a few months, I use it on a 550D and I can say very satisfied. After the initial disappointment due to the fact that the lens suffered from front focus, solved with a free ride in AD Service, I started to appreciate it more and more. Very bright, very versatile, lightweight and relatively small, you can carry around all day without feeling the need to change lenses too. Its focal length allows you to use this lens for street, portraits and landscapes ambientati. Great for those short trips of 2-3 days in air port where you only hand luggage and you can not portre below too much weight. The sharpness is very good already at f1.4 and further improves turning a bit 'the diaphragm. The quaità construction seems good, and the equipment that is to be welcomed home with Sigma provides objective (handbag and parluce). The autofocus is fast and accurate enough, there is only a slight performance degradation in low light (although I believe that these benefits are influenzate body machine). Lacks stabilization, but shooting at 1.4 and being in times of security I have never felt the need, even in the evening, and given that this gimmick would have pushed the price and weight of the lens, I think it best that there is.
sent on 12 Gennaio 2013 Pros: construction, quality, price, standard hood is f1.4! Cons: maybe just the fact that the exposure values ??are a little biased in my case, lens cap, used with the canon that gives me a bit of trouble always seems to lose it, but it is nonsense, Opinion: I fell in love. would be enough to close the review here, partly because I'm no expert on the subject, but now I try: rnl'obiettivo looks solid and sturdy, has the lens hood as standard, and it's nice stylistically speaking, black and gold are fine. the focal length of 30mm on aps-c is perfect for street, landscapes, portraits, a bit of everything we say. autofocus quickly and precisely, then F to 1.4, make everything more ... magical! bokeh "you write that?" that blows out the subject from the background, a brightness that allows pictures in almost all conditions, disarming clarity that you expect if you do not know the lens, rnnon I found no problem with f / b focus. I do not know how it behaves with the flare, but who .. mount the hood and avoid the sun diretto.rnper the rest I can not help but say, if you have a aps-c you have to have this lens in your kit and you can not help it most. rn
sent on 26 Dicembre 2012 Pros: Blurred, Optical performance and colors, Construction. E 'equipped with a lens and with a good padded case. Cons: AF is not always precise Opinion: A lens by the quality / price ratio high. My copy has no problem of front / back focus (I tried it in the store but immediately felt the first copy was ok) and see the photos that brings out even at wide apertures is a pleasure. I also tried a set at a touch & try comparing it with the relatives of focal length Canon and I have to say that if the big beats with His Majesty 24L (which clearly wins, but not over the top ...), while costing a quarter of its price and is equal (for clarity) or higher (blurred) to the brand new canon 28 2.8 IS USM, which costs exactly twice. The only drawback autofocus that, as fast and completely silent, is not always precise in a "difficult", but just be there a little 'attention. And 'well built and wonder of the cost compared to the quality of the product.
sent on 12 Novembre 2012 Pros: Aim to do everything. Basically a 50 on a APS-C sensor. Very bright. Cons: No, if I had to find one: if it were stabilized while maintaining the brightness would be the top. Opinion: It would be the first lens to buy and have always mounted on fotocamera.Fornisce a length equivalent to 50mm on APS-C, and with the focal length f/1.4 is very bright and allows handheld shooting in interno.rnLa design dates back to 2008, but has done very well, better than other lenses produced in 2012 but maybe that transmit more feel to the touch plastic.

sent on 20 Agosto 2012 Pros: Equivalent focal length, Construction, Brightness, Sharpness to large openings, Quality focus. Cons: Sigma quality control Opinion: I bought this lens for my Canon 600D (APS-C) to compensate for the lack of brightness of my camera kit. I wanted a lens that was used in indoor and low-light situations and it does its job very well. The Focal is PERFECT, equivalent to 48mm (50mm nearly so) on Full Frame. The construction of the lens is EXCELLENT, robust and easy to handle, belongs to the series of EX Sigma lenses. The focus ring is smooth at the right point, nothing to say. The HSM works well it may not be like the past USM Canon but is not considered a defect in some of this objective. Together with the lens hood is supplied, a semi-soft case (really well done) as well as warranty and manual. Brightness is a prerogative of this goal, if you have never taken a very open aperture (f/1.8 or less) you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Bokeh of this lens. Both the focal length for the large display does not senyou absolutely need the stabilizer of a lens like that. I tried several shots with this lens and I have to say that it is already being used at full aperture (f/1.4) obviously improves turning a bit 'the diaphragm. So far I have used this glass for shooting evening with friends, for the Milky Way photos and portraits ambientati: I found it very versatile despite being a fixed focal length lens and I often avoided having to raise the ISO over 800. The only fault I find in this lens (but can be expanded to many Sigma lenses) is the "Quality Control Sigma" first to market goals, my suffering heavily front-focus and my camera unfortunately does not allow micro -setting so I was forced to wear lens and camera body to adjust to the service center. In conclusion I would recommend the purchase of this great lens that is giving me great satisfaction!
sent on 14 Ottobre 2011 Pros: brightness value compared to competitors, blurred quality, sharpness already at f / 2, and outfit. Cons: Autofocus is not very precise, colors a bit 'cold attack only aps-c Opinion: This very bright 30mm can be mounted only on aps-c and not on full frame, but it is a lens that arouses great interest and sell it is not difficult. good focus, sharpness already from f/1.8-2 begins to be good to become a reference af/4-5.6, but must make a super bright lens at full aperture and does so. autofocus occasionally does not hook to perfection and certainly not at the level of the last usm canon of the house such as speed and low noise, also the loss of sharpness at the edges visible, but acceptable for a lens that is acquired by a specific use (perfect for half-length portraits, events, parties). last but not least, the colors it produces are a bit 'cold but easily corrected with a slight correction of the white balance. is equipped with a lens hood and a nice protective case. the best equivalent 50mm for aps-c, also because I think that mount a full 50mm on a aps-c is useless.
sent on 28 Settembre 2011 Pros: Focal perfect, bright, very sharp, light and compact. Cons: May have problems of front back focus Opinion: A great lens for APS-C you could safely leave always attached to the machine on the focal length of almost 50mm, really perfect. The construction is excellent (EX is a) small and compact, great for walking around for long periods. The lens is very bright and already at full aperture 1.4 is very sharp. From F2 onwards is almost a blade. I find it perfect for interior finishes such as museums and evening. My copy had a problem with front back focus that I easily fixed on my Canon 7D, for the rest of the AF type ultrasonic HSM is perfect and fast. I recommend everyone this lens!
