Pros: Excellent from all points of view.

Cons: Zoom ring too hard.

Opinion: This perspective really amazed me. Super sharpness at all focal lengths and apertures. I wouldn't have expected that from a kit optic. Well built and balanced, it is not affected too much by flare and other aberrations. The focal range is also of maximum use for all-rounder use. Coupled with a 70-300 this lens forms a truly complete whole, able to satisfy most photographic needs. The brightness, of course, does not allow scary blurs but the ones it does are pleasant. Still in relation to brightness, taking advantage of Lumix's excellent performance for ISO tightness, this is not insufficient even in low light situations. Even the smallest maf distance is able to provide excellent satisfaction. For specialized tasks, however, it is possible to turn to something else. With a well-set camera, vignetting and distortions are corrected in an excellent way, obviously through software as always happens with lenses of this type. In my opinion, its software of choice are Capture One and DXO Photolab which in both cases are able to squeeze the most out of this lens and Lumix files in general. Mechanically it is well made but the zoom ring is too resistant and not very frictioned. I hope it gets better with use. You also feel the lack of a function key. Finally, the price that for so much quality, if taken in kit, is really ridiculous. To those who wish, I am available to provide sample raw images. Highly recommended. I agree with those who awarded a 10 out of 10.

Pros: Sharp and compact

Cons: Very bad vignetting and distortion

Opinion: For me the vote is negative for a simple fact: used on S5 II at 20mm it produces very accentuated and particularly ugly vignetting and distortion that to correct them the camera or ACR have to crop the image a lot which at that point is no longer a 20mm but is closer to 22-23mm. Without correction the photo is unusable especially if it is a landscape due to the very strong vignetting at the corners difficult to correct. A 24-70 is worth it. Reason why rejected. Otherwise it is sharp with neutral colors tending to cold and AC under control

Pros: Sharp at all focal lengths and apertures, very versatile focal range, light and compact, tropicalized, cheap if purchased in kit.

Cons: for what it was designed for absolutely nothing

Opinion: It is a lens that amazed me. I bought it together with an s5 kit for less than 1300 € so for a small change. At that price I don't know what more you could want. My sample is almost perfect both in the center and at the edges already at 20 mm and wide open. Closing with landscape apertures it becomes perfect. The software corrections are there but they are much less evident than on more famous lenses. The micro contrast is excellent and even the Croatian aberrations are almost completely absent. It also has a nice blur considering the not-quite-portrait lens aperture. It is a very versatile all-purpose lens. Excellent for travel, landscapes and for mountain trips and everyday outings. I used it for indoor commercial photos with excellent results. Those who expect to have a yield of 24 f/1.4 at these costs and at these dimensions and weights should consult internationally renowned specialists! For me considered the type of lens, 10/10

Pros: Good sharpness even on the sides, Lightweight and compact, fast autofocus, Sold in the basic kit!

Cons: Not very bright, zoom ring slightly too frictioned.

Opinion: A surprise, I thought I had in my hands the classic kit lens made of plastic and instead it turned out to be a surprise. It remains a little dark, so in situations of low light it suffers a little, but with the sun it does not do badly at all. Excellent sharpness even on the sides, where I thought it struggled a bit, instead both at 20mm and 60mm it does very well. For what it costs and for what it offers, passed with flying colors, neglecting even the small flaws found.

Pros: Compact, lightweight, excellent optical qualities, 20mm wide angle, tropicalized, 0.4x semi-macro

Cons: Not very bright.

Opinion: A nice surprise this goal, taken in kit with the S5. It has an excellent sharpness (obviously not miraculous) constant from edge to edge and roughly at all focal lengths and all apertures. Excellent as a walking and landscaping optics thanks to the wide breath given by the 20mm, obviously it goes into crisis with little light, due to the low light. At 20mm it focuses practically attached to the subject, opening interesting "semi-macro" perspectives

Pros: Sharpness, three-dimensionality, weight, dimensions, build quality

Cons: At this price, really nothing

Opinion: Taken in kit with the S5 represents a crazy travel kit; having from 20 to 60 with an optical quality that no other kit lens achieves, leads to having so much quality in a low weight at a ridiculous price. Practically avoid taking a 16-35 and a 24-70. Of course it is a bit dark but there is always the equally amazing 50 1.8 to finish I kit. I would say a must have. Really mind-blowing; I spent my holidays in the Dolomites with the 20-60 and the 50 1.8 despite having a Canon RF kit with L optics .. do we really always need the best of the best when then, without pixel peeper magnifications, we do not see differences? The ultimate travel kit.

Pros: Sharpness, contrast, weight, size, cost, focal range, tropicalization.

Cons: Virtually nothing

Opinion: On Panasonic S1 (so 'only' 24 mpx) has a disarming sharpness. Fully usable at TA, if closed by a stop it becomes excellent and at intermediate diaphragms (f8 - f11) it touches the quality of the fixed. A 'nice to have' would be the diaphragm ring like Sigma, but Panasonic follows another philosophy. It is not stabilized, but the excellent Panasonic bodies take care of this too. Tested on the S5 at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart: https://www.juzaphoto.com/me.php?pg=335884&l=it

Pros: Sharpness in the center even at full aperture, flare resistance, weight, price

Cons: I would say a little dark, if it were 2.8 it would be much more expensive and much heavier

Opinion: I bought this lens in kit son the S5 and I must say that it surprised me. Starting from the optical excursion, unusual but for my optimal uses. I noticed a nice resistance to the flare, which is absolutely not obvious since it is a zoom. There are those who complain about the sharpness, my copy is very sharp and manages to solve the 24mpx sensor of the S5 very well. At least in the center and at full opening without having to close. It has the standard hood, which I really appreciate. Perhaps the only note I could make is the hardness of the zoom ring. But let's talk about details. For me promoted with flying colors!

Pros: Lightness, versatility, size, sharp, tropicalized and economical.

Cons: A bit dark.

Opinion: I have little interest in tests about sharpness at the edges and mental masturbations of this type. I bought it in kit with the S5, thinking of reselling it, in fact at the same time I bought the Sigma 24-70 art., but I find myself almost always using the 20-60, which for the trip is ideal. The 24-70 Sigma is great but it's big and heavy. Moreover, as already mentioned, it is the only zoom that starts from 20 mm and this, for my way of photographing, I really like. Frankly, I do not distinguish the photos taken with this lens from those taken with more "important" and expensive lenses.

Pros: A stroke of genius, the new standard for the landscaper and not only

Cons: Given what it costs, especially taking it in kit with the S5, nothing at all

Opinion: It's small, lightweight and damn versatile. It should become the new basic zoom of each kit. Quite sharp and with a good blurred, it will not be very bright but go around with 24-70 2.8. At 20 then, with its minimum focusing distance, it offers an exceptional versatility and allows shots that would otherwise require the second and third lenses to carry around. I use it on the Panasonic S5 and I find it to be a really definitive pairing.

Pros: Size, weight

Cons: Poor sharpness that improves not much to more closed diaphragms

Opinion: Tried on leica sl and sl2: I didn't expect engraving, colors, microcontrasto of leic targetss, but I was hoping for better performance than those verified. I was interested in given size and weight but the yield did not satisfy me in the slightest. Soft at full opening, it approaches a narrow enough closing at f 8. I keep silent on colors and bokeh (the latter predictable given the low brightness) I do not find it a good compromise even in the face of a seemingly advantageous purchase price.

Pros: Colors Lightness Bokeh Effect 20mm

Cons: Nothing to declare.

Opinion: Great.Beautiful colors, blurry very nice, quick and light. A lens to have. I was pleasantly impressed by this view so much that I would prefer it by far to 24 105.I would recommend it to everyone. He is a objective gentleman for the price at which it is proposed, considering that in kits it costs about 300 euros...

Pros: 20-60 is the panacea of every zoommist. 350 grams, size and price

Cons: At these prices nothing

Opinion: Also excellent impression on Leica SL which is famously not a lightning bolt of autofocus and instead works well. If you find the edges not defined at 20mm you have to close, but for a landscape it is so. Perfect all-round handyman. Leica optics for SL are another planet, but it's a record-breaking weights and footprint. The currently official Fowa price is 669. Good compromise.
